I hate everything Pokemon. I have never played one, I just hate them by default. Probably because at some point they were everywhere, and I just so damn tired of them before I even played any of the games.

Pokemon is actually a great game. It's painful to think about because of all the hype and marketing and merchandising and the wee little children with the hats and the shirts and the lisps, but in actual fact, the game is addictive, has simple but amazing gameplay, and a lot ofreplay value even after you finish it. I recommend it myself . . .

And now I eat my foot on some of the main reasons why I hate FFVII...

Yes, I'm a Pokemon nerd! Coincidentaly I rented Colloseum yesterday! The games are excellent time wasters during family events, or day at school when you do absolutely nothing ((and the teacher doesn't care you have a gameboy )) As long as you find something, it's pretty consuming! Especialy the idea that most are compatible. With the release dates of Leaf Green and Fire Red set for next month, I've started Pokemon Ruby again!

when i first tried, i started on my little brother's game and ended up finding a glitched pokemon that happened to be immorally strong...

so then i tried starting from the beginning with a translated yellow rom, but it was kinda boring, plus i didn't know what i had to do to keep pikachu happy... so now i only like them cuz they're so cute.

I dont know why, must be some type of sickness or the begining of dementia, but Ive always liked JigglyPuff. I would like a large plush figure of jigglypuff to use as a pillow. (dont laugh.especially you silver)
I would always choose pikachu or jiggly puff on smash bros. I got bored with pokemon snap. Colluseum is good.
Never collected the cards. Use to find a couple on the street.

I haven't finished any of the Pokémon GameBoy games, though they all got great reviews and seemed pretty fun. The Boy like what he played of Silver or Gold, but he switched to something else and hasn't gotten around to finishing it. I thought Snap was fun, though criminally on the short side for the price. We managed to find all but two or three of the Pokémon there. I don't care for Coliseum, though The Boy enjoys it. Puzzle League is good once you forgive the fact that it's a Tetris clone. And the whole family finds the animé series to be humorous and engaging.

*personaly enjoys the anime* I catch it every now and then when I'm actualy watching the TV. I remember watching it all the time in Jr. High though! I've still got a few toys hanging around my room ((I think my mom snagged most of the stuff, and put it in boxes...))

They're probably the main reason I picked my Gameboy back up. I'm thinkin' about grabbin'em when they come out myself. Squirtle is a good enough reason for me!

The one pokemon that drove me nuts was that damn tree you had to spray with the waterbottle. Darn thing just wouldn't get into the ball. I played all the way through Pokemon Red, but the new ones seem to be less appealing.

Intimidating figure, this one...

30cm tall plushy Pikachu, the flagship of my fleet.

(Gotta get me a digi-camera, that was scanned)

I used to watch Pokemon during my servicetime, mainly because of Jessie...
Way too nice figure for a children's show... Or was it a children's show...

It looks even more terrifying with the shadow caused by scanning.

When that loaded and fill the page it was truly a freakish sight...but kinda cute.

Imagine actually standing up, and looking up at that thing, lightbeams illuminating it as it rampages trough Neo-Tokyo....

I used to play it when it was fresh; I even kept a lot of the toys and comics I've collected. But Nintendo seriously needs to stop whoring out the same stuff over and over. Sure, one may argue that it has new features and new (uninspired) Pokemon, but in reality it's still an insipid RPG whose only real play value is monster collection. And it's almost immoral how they make you buy all 93849 freaking versions before you can "catch them all."

I'd rather spend my money on something a bit more original and entertaining. I'm at the point where I'm tired of hearing about it anymore. :x I partially blame that series for Nintendo's stick-in-the-mud attitude; they seem to have a hard time coming up with original games that don't use their old franchises since they know they'll sell anyway. >_<
