I was thinking into this for quite a while now.
Is our imagination bigger than the universe. It happens so that Humans "create" and put things into this universe and they perfectly fit. Things that might not even exist (probably with a chance), do exist inside our imaginations. It is also believed that everything that humans think of is already there but waits to be discovered. I think that the imagination is bigger than the universe. what do you say? |

well to me they seem like two absolutely different things, i mean imagination could be anything and not just imagination on the universe. i suppose imagination can extend further than the universe because we dont really know whats out there because its so big, there are no solid facts about life on other planets (although i believe its about 99.99% there is other life), so therefore imagination is bigger but not physically bigger only mentally.
also if anyone wants to start a thread on the Universe etc, that be a good idea because i have a pretty vast knowledge on it, i dont wanna start one because i think it wouldnt hit off.

I think imagination would have "directions" to it. Maybe that needs explanation. One person's imagination could expand in the direction of "history", while another would dwell on "space." In that respect, perhaps our collective imagination would be larger than the universe, because it would span more topics than physically exist, and run over into other topics. But in one person's mind? I don't think so. But then, maybe my imagination's not big enough to imagine that.

Geosgaeno: You can start here, you're welcome.
Ephraim: You are correct. Why don't you think like that "the whole universe is in your mind"... |

well if you think about it imagination is impossible to spread futher than the universe, because all the things we imagine are things from the known universe and we cannot expand outside that in a manner of speaking.

So you're telling me magic & airships & things like Materia and sprites really exist? I think we can safely say those things are outside our universe (maybe not airships
), and that therefore our imagination is bigger.

i think not, because for all we know them things do exist, and by thinking of the size of the Universe there is a great chance they do.

You are right, but unless we find them, and if we never find them, they will lie in the realm of imagination, and will show that imagination is bigger.

well the universe is real, God created the Universe (it didnt just appear) and God created man (or so most people may believe) and therefore god created our imagination. in a way that means imagination is down to something in the universe. well i aint arguing, its not so important.
