Not sure if it has been requested, but the soundtrack to Skies of Arcadia is fantastic. Would love to hear the Valuan Armada and the Song of Loneliness, as well as the battle themes

Hi Locke, thanks for the warm welcome. I'm assuming there is, but is there a complete track listing for the station, just so I can avoid making suggestions only to find that the tracks are played already?
Thanks
Also, may I request some Perfect Dark music as well. Carrington Villa was always my favourite, but Pelagic 2 and the Carrington Institute are pretty cool.

If you click the request song feature on the radio, it should present you with a list of all available tracks on the radio in our request form. If you drop in the chatroom when one of our radio staff are available, we can provide you a more detailed look into songs we are adding and reviewing.

Suggestions
Just started listening today and god, this is a fantastic station. I can already see myself tuning in multiple times a day.
Anyway, I would LOVE if you guys could grab some Bit.Trip Runner music for the station? The tracks are Impetus, Strength, Tenacity, Conviction, Triumph, Fortitude, Inspiration, Bravery, Anticipation, Admiration, and Support. I can provide links if you need them (or, if you can use audio files, I do have the soundtrack.)
Maybe some Minecraft or Superbrothers: Swords & Sorcery too? Bit.Trip Runner for sure, though.

Hey guys,
Just a heads up we know some requests have been pending for quite awhile, but please be patient as we have a huge to-do list. Right now priority is to ensure the radio is running smoothly with our new server load. We had started to encounter some issues with the server during peak listening time yesterday, so we've been investing our time in bug fixes and optimizing the backend code that keeps everything running.
We've made some solid progress, but this means our attention won't be on adding new tunes for a few days until everything is running smoothly. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up We haven't forgotten!

Would it be possible to add an option to skip songs? I like most of what's being played already, but some of it I either don't want to listen to, or don't really know the games that they come from very well, so they have no interest to me. If you could do that, it would be great.

Hello! We understand that people won't necessarily like every song they hear on the RPGN radio, we try to be selective in which songs get added to the database but everyone has their own tastes. Unfortunately as this does operate much like any radio station, there is no way to skip ahead or change the songs on demand. This is not an interactive playlist, but a streaming radio If you do find any songs inappropriate or especially annoying, we do take comments to that regard, and can review those songs and consider their fate.

Hey Kuxiz, welcome to RPGN! Thanks for providing youtube links of your suggestions, it does help I just wanted to drop a quick reply letting you know that we have seen your list, and have added it to our ever-growing to do list. It's slow going, but we will check these out and get them in there as soon as we can
If you think up any others, feel free to keep the suggestions coming.

Thanks! We love to hear this sort of thing, that our site is being enjoyed. I've added your requests to our to-do list, and we'll get to them as we can.
I've spent the last week or so almost strictly bug fixing and adding features and error handling to keep our radio running smoother. If anyone is ever curious, you can find information on our latest changes by clicking the "Changelog" link on the updates and statistics page of the radio.
Most notable changes lately would be:
- Fixed a bug that caused the user's saved volume not to load properly, so the first song played each visit would burst at default volume until loaded.
- Changed the playlist generator rules to enforce some randomization when we are being flooded with requests. If the last 2 songs played were both requests, the playlist will toss in a random song. It also makes sure that the random song selected hasn't been heard in awhile, to give each song some air time.
- Feature requests such as auto refreshing on the song history and pending requests page, as well as a push to change the page title to the currently playing song. This way if you are tabbed out or have the window minimized you can quickly see the name of the track.
- Second server configured, should ensure that the radio can handle a lot more traffic now.
We are also working on some changes to our page design / layout in the background, give the site a fresh coat of paint... eventually

Just found this site and wanted to say thanks for all the work in setting this station up! Now I have something to listen to all day at work.
Here are three songs that I could not find in the database and I believe would be good additions:
Borderlands 2: Highlands Combat/Terramorphous Battle ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvO8YOb1IFU)
Final Fantasy XII: The Zertinan Caverns ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3XiB0vFOKo)
Half-Life 2: Apprehension and Evasion ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlD5uvOt_Sw)
Ancillary question: I see that some members have joined in 2004 and yet this forum only has 305 posts in total?! Did the site get taken down sometime in the past and what I am seeing now is a recently rebooted backup?

Hey, and welcome to RPGN! Glad to hear our tunes are helping pass the day at work. I wish I could listen at work too I will certainly add those songs to our recommendation list (which is growing quite large o_O)
As for the 2004 question, indeed our site has gone through a lot of phases. First online back in 1996, we were just a little rpg fan site on Geocities :P In 2000, we purchased the rpgamers.net domain name and started to tidy up a bit. For a long time we were a go-to source for video game tunes via our many user-run servers. Eventually the file sharing world changed, and for quite awhile our site kind of just sat taking up space on the net, without much of a plan of updates. In early 2012, I was finally inspired to try and make this place useful again, so I started working on developing our own custom scripts that make up our radio system today. It developed into more then I had first visioned for sure.
Our forums were quite active back in the day, and many of our long-term users didn't want to see their names wiped from our member listing so they were imported when we wiped the forums clean for a fresh start. Unfortunately, the site was still asleep, and its been a slow climb. Starting to come alive though!
Probably more then you were asking, but there it is. I try to find the time to keep everything updated in my spare time, and so far it's worked out well. However I am busy a lot, so that's why updates can sometimes be slow, but we do appreciate all the feedback we're getting from our listeners lately. Keep it coming
