So, over the past 2 months or so I've casually been watching through the 24 series season by season. I'm currently up to season 5. I've expressed my... frustrations over this show in our chatroom, but I thought I'd bring it here too. I warn you in advance, this thread will probably contain many spoilers, so if you haven't seen 24, you might want to look away.
Season 1 was okay at first, but after awhile I started to grow a serious hate relationship for Jack's family. His daughter is just so ... dumb? She makes all the obvious mistakes! How many times can a person be kidnapped? Well, if her part of this series is anything to go by, many many times. She would fuss over the stupidest things, like a spoiled little 12 year old. She knows her father is out on some mission saving the world or whatever she believes, yet she constantly demands his attention as well. The whole "hes busy" doesn't even cross her mind. Argh.
Oh, and I have to say... for a counter-terrorist unit, their facility is the most insecure place I've ever seen. Repeating plot-lines might pop up when a show runs for 8 seasons, but really how many times can someone be working behind their back right in front of their faces?!
As I continue to watch season by season, some parts are really good and some I just want it to end. Their repeat use of some actors is annoying too, like a certain someone from season 1 who just happens to appear later... and again later! Its like there are only 5 terrorists on the planet, and Jack knows them all personally.
I could go on, but yeah... I thought I'd see if anyone else has watched this rollercoaster?
