The Walking Dead
So, I got into The Walking Dead awhile back, and watched the first two seasons quite quickly. I was worried it would be more of a horror type thing, but its not really like that at all. Sure, zombies have taken over the world blah blah, but its more drama then anything. Oh, and Carl is never in the goddamn house! (If you haven't seen the show, you probably won't get that.... but trust me, if you're looking for him, hes not in the house!) Season 3 is coming up soon, so I guess I'll just wait and see where the story goes next. In the final scene of Season 2, I think they showed a prison in the background, so I'm going to assume they are going to try to take shelter there... but who knows!

I know the show is based on books, but I haven't read them. :wonder:

the comic books are ok but the show has drifted a bit from them. i get a feeling they are gonna discover that aliens are responsible for the plague.

Aliens, that'd be something! ;) I haven't read the comics yet, but its been on my to-do list since I got into the show. I've been following Season 3 so far, but some parts do frustrate me a bit.

They seem to do a lot of ammo wasting for instance in the Season opener, they had a good thing going, killing the walkers through the fence with poles and such. Safe, easy, no ammo waste. I don't get why they felt the need to risk someones life running into the field when they could have just lured all the walkers nearby to the fences and killed them, clearing the path and lowering the risk considerably, also saving that precious ammo!

Also in the most recent episode, there is the illusion of safety in the little settlement they have found, its even said they hope to rebuild society and take back the world. The problem I have with that is that if everyone is infected, and you turn when you die bitten-or-not, that means as soon as your neighbour dies of an illness or heart attack or something, its ground zero all over again. You'd have to keep constant tabs on everyone's health, unless they can somehow found a "cure".

I do enjoy watching the show, so that's part of the reason I've hesitated reading the comics, I've heard there are many spoilers to be found in them (even if the show doesn't follow them 100%).

Season 1 - 3 are similar to the books 1 - 9. The whole horse and hospital in the beginning to the prison. Three thumbs up from me! Dattebayo~. n_n

this is truly amazing show that I really wait for. I'm soooooo intrigued who died in the end... the comic book says that it is Glenn... but we would see.... it makes me feel.... kind of anxiety when i watch it... strange.
