Well... uh... I did completed this game and I know a few things.. but actually... cant answer all the questions on this one... well I still start this thread anyway so it´s made..:D

well, i don't know how much help i can be either, but this is likely my favorite final fantasy, although 12 might replace it once i'm finished with it.

I've also found FF9 to be the best FF game so far. Eventhough the story is somewhat of an unispired love thing with a twist, it's mostly quite light hearted game. Unlike say, FF8 with all that teenage angst pouring out of every orifice possible. Too often developers make the mistake of taking their own game too seriously.

Well.. Final Fantasy 9 is one of the most basic of the ff-games... it goes back to the roots.. this makes it quite charming actually..:D That´s also what I like about it..:)
although... in the battles... that could have been a bit more faster dont you think..?

likely the one where they talk about ruby being a "nice" girl. who knew moogles were so naughty?

i also enjoyed how there were party-specific abilities, like how steiner and vivi could bring the sword magician back to prominence. good stuff.

I'm not sure what you mean by "basic", it's as basic as any other rpg game really.

One of the things I liked the most in it was the learning of new abilities from equipment. Hooray for extra rare weapons with awesome skills to unlock. :D

Heh.. basic as in like the old ff-games... you know... like the 1,2,4 and 6...;)
It really goes back from the more advance style like ff8 to the more traditional gameplay and style...:p

Yes... but I didn´t knew the moogles talked that way of Ruby... maybe I just missed it...:D Dont forget that you "summon" them to save your game in the worldmap bjp... and you can also make that moogle pissed if you dont need him much... hehe..:p

And then we have Chocobo hot and cold... ah... so relaxing seeing your chocobo digging around....:p
