I am relatively ne wto FTP Servers and as of yet don't know anything about accessing them. Would anyone mind helping me out in guiding me into accessing them? It would be of much appreciation. Thank you.

For a start, I beleive there's an actual help forum somewhere, people are probably gonna jump on you for posting here.
But I'm feeling generous.
FTP is a method of transferring files, faster than the usual http downloads one would make through a web browser. Your web browser is capable of downloading via ftp, though I recommend dedicated software. There are many ftp clients out there, I personally recommend googling for "Filezilla", it's pretty simple to use. Open it and you'll be presented with four boxes to fill in.
Server Address: This is the IP address of the server. It can be numerical such as 192.168.0.1 (obviously thats an internal address as an example) or it can be alpphabetical, such as my ftp server with the address Charon333.bounceme.net
User: This is the name of the account you have on the server you are trying to connect to. Often, public servers will allow you to log in as "Guest"
Password: I think you can figure that one out. Leave blank for a Guest account.
Port: Usually 21, though if it's different you'll normally be told so.
With that done, one simply clicks connect. The server will then connect to the IP provided, via the specified port, offering up the Username and pasword for verification. Assuming you have an account on that server, or it allows guest accounts, you will then be logged in. The screen will show the content of your computer on the left, and the contents of the server you intend to download from/upload to on the right. Accounts can be restricted in many ways so you won't always be able to access everything you can see.
That's about it. Have fun.

Gasp, someone else has browsed the forums other than me and moved the thread to the right place. :p
Anyway, there are also couple tutorials on the main site.

Those are a bit out of date though, but the basic idea is there.
Considering how good, free and popular Filezilla is these days, someone (maybe me) ought to write a tutorial for it too.

Yeah, I wrote that BPFTP tutorial back when I still used it. I use Filezilla exclusively now. Maybe I'll write one for it... Hmm... :)
