Yes, it's been down now for a bit over four months, but things are starting to look brighter now. A new harddrive is ordered and I will try to get things up and running within a week or so from its arrival.

Now I do have some ideas on how logins can be done. Two main ideas are:

Ticket based
One goes to the website to have a random username/password generated that allows access for a certain amount of time.

Forum based
The FTP verifies against this forum via some mechanism that I havn't thought of yet, but what is certain is that no clear text passwords will be stored on my end, meaning no risk that I will login on the forum with your accounts since I cannot see your passwords.

Thoughts? Ideas? Cookies? :tophat:

Mmm cookies :D~
Newsflash: I just got my brand new 250gb drive! :D

Also, thought more about the forum password thing. The password would be one-way encrypted on my end, sent to the forum server for accptance/denial. The forum also encrypts the password one-way, so it will compare those two keys. Clear text password will never be used/transfered besides the usual ftp-login session, which is unavoidable. But as soon as the password has been sent, it will be encrypted.

Anyone like the idea as much as me?
