Some of the Audio Files I will be uploaded have missing or incorrect tags and I was wondering if anyone would prefer tags to be a certian way.

Here are some common examples that are listed paralel with the options.

Artist-Composer - [Album Title] [##] - Song Title.audiofile
Title of the Game - [Album Title] [##] - Song Title with Artist-Composer included.audiofile
Title of the Game - [Album Title] [##] - Song Title.audiofile
Album Title - [##] - Song Title.audiofile
Other

Personally, I like the third (Title of the Game - [Album Title] [##] - Song Title.audiofile)

Sometimes the Artist-Composer is different through out the album causing for individual tagging instead of mass tagging or for the file name being incredibly long. The 4th choice I don't really like because the Album Name may not have the Name of the Game included or even hinted. Or maybe you all can enlighten me to think otherwise.

As for the actual name of the File, I will not change it at all. Reason being for keeping the original file names is because some of the uploads are not rips by me and I don't know who originally ripped them. It can allow someone to recognize who ripped the what and tell me about it so that I can include them in the credits.

Are we talking about the mp3 id3 tag or the file name itself? I fill in all info for the id3 tag, version 1 and 2. For the file name, I simply go with "01 Track.mp3," and so on. Presumably it's in a folder with the album name, so I need to have that. And the tag and nfo files have everything else. Or am I missing the point here? Heh.

For id3 tags I don't use v1 at all, only v2.3, and fill title, artist, album and track number, occasionally composer, depending on the album and song. As so, my tags are minimal. Filename I use the "00 Title.mp3" style.

And as Bamatone said, am I missing something here? You talk about tags and filenames, yet your tag options have the .audiofile in the end, suggesting a filename rather than tag.

id3 tags of course.

Well, why include the .audiofile in the examples then? Your question sounds more like how we format our filenames playlist views.

Well Excuse me then. But we've established that I ment ID3. I mention filenames in the last paragraph. Everything else is tags. Should I remove .audiofile? Sorry, I just get in the habbit of mentioning formats since the tracker asks for that information in the title of your upload.

Just wanted to clear up the confusion, no need to bite my head off.
