Ok well in the old RPGN forums we had the best and worst RPGs threads and I figured I'd create them again as one thread and expand upon them. What games are your favourite, what games do you dislike, and what games have you played that others have seemed to had a completly different opinion about?

I myself think Halo is fairly over rated. The games fun I'll admit but I don't think it deserves the attention it has gotten for what it is. The story line is vague and at times drawn out and boring, the gameplay if fine but only really stands out in muliplayer and even then, FPS games are far better on PCs due to improved response time with the mouse. Overall it's not a "bad" game but compared to other FPS games it's nothing special in my opinion, it's just current.

Well, I have said it before, and I'll say it again, but the main Final Fantasy series is overrated in my books. It's just... generally quite boring. They don't hook me like some other games too, and I just can't seem to understand how some people play through them time and time again.

Well, I've gotta say that I agree with you with the later final fantasies. Now, with 6 and 7 those were great, but as they went on they just got poorer and poorer. I can't even pick up x or x2 at all right now.

I loved Super Mario Kart however I found they got worse as they progressed, devoting more attention to pretty graphics then to actual skill. Everyone was equal when racing, with a minor bonus after mastering the slide, it really didn't matter how much you played the later Kart racers because after about an hour anyone was just as good (anyone with a gaming history we'll say cause we all know there are a lot of people who just can't figure out videogames).

I concur on that Kai. You get some people that say their awesome at Mario Kart, yet the second you plop them in front of the SNES version they suck. Don't get me wrong, there's tip's and tricks that can give you an advantage in the later ones, but they don't require skill so much as any generic gaming background.

I think Juiced recieved far too much hype for what the game was. The advertisments made the game seem like the best racing game sense the original Grand Turismo, and then you play it . . . . :shame: I'm not saying it is a bad game, it definetly has its moments . . . until you loose your car that is. It just doesn't complare to the GT series and yet it before it was released it had just as much or more hype than any of the Grand Turismo games (in our small corner of the world anyways).

Not to mention the second you get a Viper you basically never lose again ;)
