If it's at all possible, match's should be posted 3 day's prior to them occuring so's to give those of us who only post at work a chance to prepare for them and get the PM off. That's my suggestion, anyways.

Well, okay I guess Locke needed to reassure that he liked the idea a couple times. =) Lol so what is this Colosseum going to be about? If it's just like oh I killed you, we can do that in FlashFiers thread. Well that's how I feel. =P

Look the main Idea is this, the thing in FlashFire thread was something like "Oh I kick you in the face" ---> "Oh yeah well I cast a spell on you"....And I was thinking in something more complex that could gather (that it isnt the thing until now :p) Members and fight on a Duel one-on-one, with rules, Not all vs all ^^. Also I was thinking, as everyone will send me their moves of each Duel I will post in the Colosseum the Fight in a Fanfiction-way something like:

"And Giea after reciveng that special Blast from Giea fall over the ground but stand and counter attack him", well I will try to improve my writting skills too but if I dont improve I will search for a Fanfiction writter ;) dont worry about that so thats the main Idea, what do you think?

Also, just another reminder for Geo that the deadline for your submission is by the time I get off work, which could potentially be in 3 1/2 hours from now. That's the deadline or the match will be forfit. I dunno what EB's deadline is, but that's the latest I can wait for the other results.

i know its only the first battle, but this thing looks to be excellent, and even though it has only taken a few days to get the fights organised, i am very happy at the time and effort taken to write up fight reviews etc,

must say that im utterly enjoying it, well done Baz great idea, and good write up Locke great stuff.

maybe after this tournement we can have loads of people join in the next one, fingers crossed.

Sorry for the delay guy's, I was home sick yesterday and don't have the net at home, so the best I could do was do it as soon as I got to work today. Regardless, it's done. I followed the format that Baz layed out in the first 2 fights, but then realised that I'd spent 2 hours at work doing this and couldn't spare any more, so I had to sacrifice working out the play by play. End results are there, everything else is there, I hope it's good enough. Good job in the fights guys, well done.

I'm gonna assume keep the same fighters, as it'd be a huge hassle to need to create new fighters every tourney. Maybe we can work out something to level up the characters too, but we'll see. Depends on the amount of people who enter I suppose.

Colosseum is the kick arse game between friends for the future. I can just see bAz now in a makeshift throne pointing at his legion of hopefuls, telling them of pain and death......just like I just felt in my latest battle (lol). Congrat's Ss'ra, the best fighter won :).

Havent the rules been mentioned to you etc. The The winner automatically defaults out of the next round of action and has to give back anything obtained. Its all to do with the version 2.35c set up we are currently implementing to create an even battle etc.

Yeah I love the spirit and for a funny fact, while doing the battle, my 2 first operations, give me as a winner Tanis, so I do the fanfic thinkin that Tanis was the winner, as I was putting the results in the document, the operation don't match with the first 2 that I did, so I check it 3 more times, and indeed it was a step that i mess that give tanis the victory but I was so frustated that I finished the fanfic with tanis as winner and now I have to change it all over, but this is the magic of this and I like doing it :)

And Geo Be carefull as Galthol said the PEI bunch are hard ones, you will face Lance in your next battle :)

The entire thing is under construction at the moment, we're working on revamping a bunch of things. Whether we change the way the battles are run... we'll see.

WELLLL!!!! The Time HAS COME!!!!!! for the new tournament to begin ....the date for the new tournament is Monday 19 of December that day we will collect the moves for the next tournament.... so be prepared for what it comes MUAHAHAHAHA (tm). about the new rules - adventurers guild will be up for January as I stated a project related to them is absorbing me so much time :)

Well.... to make the battles a little more dynamic, you could always have people make 3.5 Dungeon and Dragon characters which would allow for level ups, prestige classes and a real variety of characters with different weapons and armour....and instead of sending in attack defense and stuff like that, you have them send in a sort of strategy...like for example say someone was a Cleric. you could have it so you would heal yourself if you drop below a set amount of hitpoints or something....or if you are a fighter, and you take feats that focus on disarming, you could have your strategy focus on disarming and then finishing off your weaponless opponent..people could fight defensively, cast spells, sunder weapons, trip opponents, grapple them, or even just point in a direction and have your opponent drop his guard (pending skill checks of course) and then backstab him using your sneak attack ability.....

As for character creation you could make a set of stats that everyone uses....but they can assign them where they want.

I'd even be willing to run the tourneys and keep track of all the characters.... that is of course if you like this idea....

Although this idea is only good if people have access to a 3.5 Edition Player's Handbook....

Keep in mind this is a suggestion, I'm not saying that the way we were doing it is bad, I'm just saying this way allows for alot more customization with structure.

well today is the deadline to send your moves to each of us I only need the moves of Galthol, dont know wichi ones are missing for locke (not mine), but it will be till 11:59 pm that we will recive moves.... if this are not completed till that date, we will begin with the first battles, after this we will give an extra day to recive moves (till tomorrow 11:59 pm) if after this period we will take that as a declined battle and the if the opponent of this person has send their moves that person will pass automatically, if both persons didnt send the moves the match will be decided witha coin flip, so hope this help the speed of the colosseum.

NEW RULES FOR THE COLOSSEUM 02/14/06

NEW FUNCTIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT

1.- All Fighters will have Stats
HP: 50
MP: 5
STR: 5
MAG: 5 (only for Magicians)
DEF: 5
SPD: 5
*These are only for the initial stats

2.- Each job Will have diferent stats.

JOB CLASSES:

Knight - Knights have the ability to carry swords
HP: 100
MP: 5
STR: 17
DEF: 17
SPD: 10

Thief - Theives carry knives
HP: 75
MP: 10
STR: 10
DEF: 8
SPD: 17

Archer - Archers are kings of the long distanced attacks.
HP: 90
MP: 8
STR: 13
DEF: 13
SPD: 12

Spearman - Spearmen use spears (DUH!)
HP: 105
MP: 3
STR: 13
DEF: 17
SPD: 3

Fighter - Fighters are men of the fist
HP: 110
MP: 0
STR: 17
DEF: 7
SPD: 10

Woodcutter - The woodcutter is an axe user.
HP: 100
MP: 5

Magician - The magician uses a staff

3.-The Stats are working as follows:
HP: Will determine your health
STR/MAG: Your stat will determine your strenght and the damage you inflict
DEF: This Stat will decrese the amount of Damage that your Oponent Inflict
SPD: Will Determine who Will Begin to attack first....

4.- The comands will change, now will it be:
Attack
Defense
Wild Attack

5.- How will it work the Commands now?:
Attack Vs Attack: the STR of your stat will determine the Damage: both recive the
proporcional amount of damage
(I.E.: STR=15; Damage=(P1 STR - P2 HP))

Attack Vs Defense: the STR of your stat will be reduced by the DEF stat of
your opponent; one recive normal damage the other no.
(I.E.: P1 STR=15; P2 DEF= 10; Damage=(P1 STR - P2 DEF)- P2 HP

Wild Attack Vs Wild Attack: The Wild attack will be the same as 3 time your
STR stat (STRx3), Both Figthers recive triple damage
(I.E.: STR=15; Damage=(STRx3)-HP)

Wild Attack Vs Defense: the one that defend will evade the attack and will
counterattack with triple damage.
(I.E.: P1 WA VS P2 DEF; P2 EVD and Counter; Damage for P1=(STRx3)-P1 HP)

6.- It will be a limited number of each command as follows:
Attack: 4 moves for fight
Defend: 5 moves for fight
Wild Attack: 3 moves for fight
*This is to Improve the battle system and prevent troubles.

7.- It will add Prizes: Experience points and Currency, that will help
in some ways, the prizes will it be as follows:

Experience Points: Experience Point Will it help to improve yopur character
stats, yopu will have the options to add each Exp. Points to any of your stats
Winner of Tournament: 10 Exp. Points

Winner:5 Exp. points
Looser:3 Exp. Points

Money: Money will help to buy armors, and improve your weapon to increase your
stats.
Winner of Tournament:500 ECoins
Winner of 2 or more tournament in a row: 2,500 ECoins

Winner:100 ECoins
Looser:50 ECoins
*Both options are for regulars battles.
