I'm playing X-Wing Alliance. I'm loving it so far. I can't wait to play the Battle of Endor.
Age of Empires 3 and Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) still got my attention. I also continued my San Andreas life for a bit yesterday, my progress is a little over 30% now.

Finished Radiata Stories but don't feel like playing new game plus...back to lvl 1...don't get to keep my 99 :(!! Beat Evil Dead: Regeneration and watched Army of Darkness after that. It's a pretty funny game though it plays just like Devil May Cry (even has demon mode). Groovy baby!

Fished up Shadow of the Colossus, and am just about to do the same to GUN. Shadow was a great, great game, I recommend it to anyone. GUN is sort of a scaled-down, western version of GTA, and is a fun ride for the rental period. Not very long though.
Tonight, when I take GUN back, I'm thinking about RE4 for the PS2. Although that sort of games always scare the hell out of me, so who knows.

Which scares you more, shock effects ala Resident Evil before the 4th one, or a pressuring mood ala Silent Hill? RE4 is more of a pressuring mood kind of game, but with smaller dosages than Silent Hill series. It's more of a action game than horror game really. :)
My roomate just got a GambeCube recently and Need For Speed : Most Wanted and Resident Evil 4. I've played through Need for Speed three time now the first two times I got half way through the game and auto save was not on for some reason and I lost my progress the third time through I was on the second last black list (about 12 hours in to the game, second last driver to beat) and a friend of mine lost a race and turned off the power of the cube while it was auto saving and fried my file.
So I'm taking a break from driving and am starting Resident Evil 4 when I get home. The only thing I dislike about the game so far is how sluggish the main character is. Sure you get those buttons that pop up on the screen allowing you to dodge some attacks but I want that kind of agility while playing through the game at all times. All well it's still an amazing game.

Well then, perhaps I will check it out. Although the Dragon Quest XXXXXXXXXXIVVVLIXIX or whatever it is is out as well, I might check that out. Who knows?

How about that challenge of the gods? I had the hadrest time with the one where you fight approximately 6.7 billion enemies. Although seeing Kratos in your rewards was well worth it.

Currenlty on the list of games I am playing.
FFI & FFII (Dawn of Souls)
FF Tatics
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Legand of Zelda" Link to the Past
Unfortunley my SP is on the fritz, (or something like that) and the R button doesn't work. So basicly Zelda has been taken off the list because I cant pick up the pots, and so have ,FF Tatics, Golden Sun:The Lost Age, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones because the R button give you the info, I so despertly need.
So yeah does anybody now where to pick up a screwdriver in Canada with three sides. Like a phillips but with three instead of four, I went to a couple of local game stores but they couldn't help me.

Currently working on getting all the characters again in FFVI, though if I wanted I could sit down and beat it right now. However, being as much of a perfectionist as I am with that game, I think it'll end up being quite a while before I finish. Meh, I will have my 100% on the game again :D
Finished Fahrenheit a week ago or so. Nice game overall, very movie like and stuff. Also finished my campaign on Age of Empires 3 yesterday. Very amusing ending, heh. :)
San Andreas and Beyond Good & Evil are on hold. I pick 'em up when I feel like it.
Haven't decided what I might play next though. Maybe No One Lives Forever. Or F.E.A.R.

Well, I've gotten all my characters, I've got Strago's little plot bit left to do and Kefka's tower and I'm done of FFVI. I'll finish it tomorrow while I'm home from work because I have it off, so soon enough I'll be through FFVI and then I'll be onto FFVII :D

Now onto FFII.
I've finished Resident Evil 4 start to finish on my own. Though I used the Chicago Typewriter and HandCannon to do it, it is done. I'm going to start a game in professional now and see how well I do. After playing the mercenaries mini game for hours on end I've realised my aim has improved considerably so I'm hoping I won't do so bad.

I agree, I think it is one of the best games I have ever played; the only downside is that it's too strong for the PS2. I hear that there is a sequel coming for the PS3, hopefully, we'll see the Colossi in even greater glory.

Blasted through Chrono Trigger. Just clearing up a few side quests before preparing to kill Lavos. It's been awesome. Such a delightful little game. :)
Bit the dust once halfway through, surprising really. As much as I hate dying, it's nice to have the fact that you're not unkillable thrown at you on occasion. I even managed to slug through the Black Omen ship before reviving Crono.
Anyways, currently hovering around level 46, party consisting of Magus, Marle and Crono.got about 14 hours on the clock so I've probably missed some stuff, that can't be a valid completion time. So I'm in 2300AD finishing up then on to fight Lavos. Will let you know what happens another day.

Looks cool from what I've seen up to now.
I'm going to start a game of Chrono Cross once I receive it. I already had it but after lending it to a friend, it came back all scratched.
My PSOne still keeps me entertained...until I have enough money to buy a PS2 for FF10,and FF12, and the Xenosaga games.
Well, couple days ago I finally took it upon myself to finish FFX. And now I'm playing FFX2. Which, aside from all the embarassing things and all the recycled graphics, locations, character models, movement models and enemies, seems like a fun game to play.

Well I'm swamped with games to play now and I don't know where to start. I just bought Street Fighter 2 for SNES and Genesis, Super Smash Bros - Melee for the GC and the Mega Man X :Collection. On top of that I still have Fire Emblem, Crono Trigger, and FFVI go through.

It is a very well done game, but as far as games go it's not that much of an improvement over some of the other FPS's that are out. Granted, it is the best I've seen on PS2, but it's not that much of a drastic improvement. It'll hold first until something comes out for 360, or PS3 comes out and get's a FPS.
The good thing about it is that it's a pure FPS. These days the genre mixing in games is so usual that when something like this comes out it's refreshing.

Still playing through Xenogears, slowly working my way through disk 2.
Playing FFVII still. I got about 14 hours in and my file was deleted so I've started again with a few perks. I used a gameshark to start with a master magic, summon, and command. I'm now just getting out of Midgar with everything in a little under 3 1/2 hours. On with the game.

But really, what's the point in playing through any RPG with a gameshark. Sure it might get you through the monotony of Midgar quicker, but it also removes all challenge from the rest of the game.
Sure it might get you through the monotony of Midgar quicker, but it also removes all challenge from the rest of the game. There is no challenge in the game anymore anyways, I know the game inside and out and can get master materia on my own quite easily. It's just after playing into the game for so many hours then to have to start again, it pissed me off. Now I am out of Midgar in a ver short time, I can probably get back to Cosmos Canyon in about 7 hours (total game time) if I don't level up in Junon after the Gold Saucer, at which point I will sell my three master materia for 1gil a piece and continue my game.

I've started Shadow Heart from the new world.
It's better than I expected actually ! The gameplay improved a bit in battle and the story is interresting even though it lacks links with the 2 other installements.
I'm done of FFVII for the time beeing, my roomate decided to use the gamshark not knowing how to use the cheats and save without currupting the data on the card and now . . . .. . my FFVII is gone once again. I love the game but I'm not about to play through Midgar three times in about 8 days.
Don't think I'll really start up anything new, I might just play a few old games, just . . . because.

Got back into Kaillera so I'm kinda back in the thick of things in terms of fighting games (though I have been sucking as of late).
Anyway, here's what I've been playing recently:
King of Fighters 98-2002 (mostly 2002 since that's what every KOF fan plays on Kaillera these days)
Garou: Mark of the Wolves (though I'm hating the very tight controls that are even tighter than KOF's. Not to mention that every super is a double quarter circle motion, which I can't combo from one hit)
Marvel vs Capcom (mostly the 4 player hack for Kaillera)
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Super Smash Bros (felt like playing against the 3 CPU characters for a while)
Mario Tennis (hadn't played this game in a while)

I'm currently playing the Romancing SAGa 1 remake for PS2....
god, this is gorgeous.
I played through the original three or four times, and just loved it.
Unfortunately, my japanese is a bit limited, so most of the story was wasted on me :D.
What's really great about this remake is that - although thelooks have changed dramatically - it still feels like the original.
That' not something to be said about the last game I played - Wild Arms Alter Code F,also a remake. That one didn't have the same kind of feeling as the original did, it was less engaging.
^^ Romancing SaGa has always been controversial, and this time I could understand why. When I started my game, I was expecting a game like most common RPGs at the moment - fixed storyline, pretty linear. Thing is, once I was reminded that Romancing SaGa has always been about exploring a vast world, writing your own epic story, trying different things out, going on quests...well, this game sort of opened to (or rather, I warmed to it ;) )

I've been playing Legend of Mana for the past month or so, beating it on Normal and Nightmare Mode. I would beat the whole thing on No Future Mode but when I switched from Nightmare Mode to No Future Mode and beat the last boss way too easily due to well made tempered weapons, it sucked out any will to play the game anymore.
Other than that, I finally am able to play StepMania with a PS2 dance pad properly after purchasing online a PS2 to USB adapter that actually reads dance pads properly (my previous adapters couldn't register up+down or left+right).

I'm putting a ton of time into Dragon Quest V (the SNES ROM). This game is soo addicting. The only thing I would change about it is I wish you could bring 4 people into your party instead of only 3. Aside from that, I'm finding the Slime Knight and the Centaurus to be among the best monsters I can recruit. I used a Magician early on, but he's too weak now. Even Grolin, my Killer Panther, has been phased out due to weakness on defense. His attack power is still great, but his defense sucks. I'm going to paste two of my LiveJournal posts about this game now, from last week. It's kind of like a diary account now. :P
Level 18 - Just got my (not-so-baby) panther back and learned the Return spell. I'm still in shock the hero didn't refuse or return the 3000gp to that redneck town!
I also didn't buy the wagon until way late - right before I got on the ship. (I couldn't figure out why there was no ship at the port for a while.) So the only monster I've recruited so far is a lame ass magician named Merlin. I don't even let him in my lineup because all he does is serve as a whipping boy. So he just stays in the wagon and levels up. Maybe he'll be useful later on.The next day...
Up to level 30; could really use a vault in Granvania; need to get rid of my small medals. The Identify spell is very nifty. Would really like Bianca to give up all her nice shit I bought her while she's having my baby. Merlin needs the Gringham Whip more than a woman in labor. The cleric told me Jewel (my trickbag) had leveled up as far as he would go. I guess I will have to use every intelligence seed I find from here on out to get him over 20 so I can control him. Then he'll be unstoppable. (He's at 8 right now, I think.) I'd really like to pick up another monster. Surely I'm supposed to have done so by now. I found some Rogue Armor earlier and I don't have anyone who can wear it.And as of now, I'm on level 38 and my kids are on levels 31 (I think). This game rocks!

If I had a ps2 I would be playing DDR.You can play dance games on your PC. There is a dance simulator program called StepMania (http://www.stepmania.com/). It plays like any DDR or Pump It Up game. The song files, called simfiles, you have to find and install on your own, but BemaniStyle (http://www.bemanistyle.com/) and DDRUK (http://www.ddruk.com/) are good places to start (you have to sign up for a free account to download).
Now getting a dance pad to work on you PC is a different matter. There are USB dance pads, but they are a little more expensive than a PS2 or X-Box compatible dance pad. To use a PS2 dance pad on your PC, the StepMania website (http://www.stepmania.com/) has a list of PS2 to USB adapters that are compatible with dance pads (most aren't as they have a problem registering Up+Down and Left+Right steps). Lik-Sang (http://www.lik-sang.com/) and Play-Asia (http://www.play-asia.com) have most of these adapters.
As for the best dance pad, that would be a Cobalt Flux (http://www.cobaltflux.com/) dance pad as it is pretty much a reportedly extremely durable and accurate arcade style dance pad. I say reportedly because I don't have one, mostly because of the $300 price tag. But it is well worth it if you have the money though matching it to the right PS2 to USB adapter will be a pain as only certain ones work with a CF pad. The CF forums has a topic about this.
I also haven't gotten a CF pad due to a few jackasses at the GameFAQs BEMANI and Rhythm Action board (http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gentopic.php?board=234) who insult and flame: a) anybody that decides to NOT get a Cobalt Flux as their first pad, and b) DDR itself as being girly and way too easy compared to later dance game series, Pump It Up and In The Groove. So just be very wary of that place.
I think I covered most of it. Have fun with it.

Well, I bought so many games lately that I can't say that I play more of one than another.
I recently bought (and play):
Guitar Hero (I'm an expert!)
Resident Evil : Director's Cut (I'm not really fond of the control system)
Megaman Anniversary Collection (I'm stuck in Willy's stages,,,,(
24 : The Game (which I got through and can say it's a fairly good and entertaining game)
Xenosaga (Episode II) : Which I haven't opened yet
And of course I'm still playing
Xenosaga Episode 1
Xenogears (where I only have to beat the final boss)
Final Fantasy V: (I'm at the X-zone...)
FInal Fantasy II: I don't really like this game....
24 : The Game (which I got through and can say it's a fairly good and entertaining game)
I've been meaning to get this, maybe from a sale or as used. I'm told that some parts could have used better controls, but I'd only play it for the story anyway.
Currently playing Lego Star Wars. Fairly amusing and entertaining game. Probably best Star Wars game I've played.

I'm still playing Wild Arms 3... I think I should be done of it fairly soon... at least, I hope I will be :p

Xenogears (where I only have to beat the final boss)
I was at the exact same point in Xenogears, but then mine and my old roommates PS1 memory cards got switched around and so all my games are gone. Meh, I'm not really all that concerned about it, I could play through that game many many times, it's pretty good.
Currently I'm just playing through FF Tactics again, played a bit of Smash Bro's last night (the N64 one), just beat FFVI again the other night, and will probly pick up FFVII again shortly.
Plus playing some Baldurs Gate 2 off and on as well.
Finished Lego Star Wars. Pretty easy and short game, good one regardless. No replay value though, there are some extras to be unlocked, but they are pretty pointless. Waiting for the sequel now, I think it'll be released sometime this month.
Gonna play NOLF 1 and 2, and probably Contract JACK, next.

Well,I finally got through Xenosaga Episode I. I will now start playing the second episode...which form the opening FMV looks really cool.
I like the fact that the story has been divided in three parts. From what I know , there are not many games that share the same story through the different chapters...

Once again, Virtual Pro Wrestling 2: Oudou Keishou because as opposed to last time around when I was playing this game on a N64 emulator, I am now playing this game with the actual N64 cart I bought via eBay.
Other than that, when I had my party last Saturday, I played Kirby's Adventure and Tetris in my still working old NES, Street Fighter II on my old SNES, and Super Smash Bros on my N64.
As one of my friends said at the party, Nintendo made their systems last very long.
I'm trying Chrono Cross again. I kind of find the game to be fascinating. the music, environment, story, and unique characters. Something about it that I don't see in other games. I never actually won, I think it's the battle system. i'm going to give it another try this time. I can't get into many of the newer games. I'm stuck with the older games, and probably always will be. Not to say I won't try out a few new games though. I just don't have that much time on my hands, and not a whole lot of money to spend. I'm unfortunately caught up in life. I can't seem to get lost in a game for days at a time, like I could before. I sure miss those days.
I sure miss those days.
Don't we all.
I too have tons of games on my backlog starting from NES era. There is just not enough time to play anymore.

I'm spending my time playing Disgaea 2 right now :p
So far it seems like a great game... well worth the money to buy it :p
Finished NOLF today. Very good game. Next I'll play Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy.
I'm playing Kameo on the Xbox 360 at the moment, it's pretty awesome. The graphics and gameplay are great. But, I really do think I need to play the DS more. I'm neglecting my nintendog. Hehehe. :nana:

Nothing....it's a sad world this Linux one it is...
For those of you who don't know yet my computer died on me, Windows just bit the BSOD bullet and wouldn't boot back up....UBUNTU TIME!!!
It was a great novelty for the first few nights, then I realized I don't know what I'm doing and this thing don't run games does it....crap.
Well now I'm trying to find an XP CD so I can dual boot and have the Linux greatness and the game compatability I need.
Hey more of you should jump on AIM/MSN to talk to me, I'm very lonely on the IM's these days, Marona's busy with school and all, Yuffie is always busy...SilverDistortion and Seymour seem to talk to me quite a bit, even Giea's around to chat :), but I'm still lonely...and no one (I think) has seen my tongue ring yet...huff......I'll be waiting for you on IM land.
That was a long rant....Oh crap this thread....not good rant....well it started about what I 'was' playing!?

I've let Xenosaga 2 aside for the moment and I started playing DDR Extreme 2 more seriously. I was seriously bad but I'm getting better and I do hope to get better.
Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary.
Oh the nostalgy. Almost brings tears to my eyes.

I hope to hear in January that FF7 is being remade, and to play it whenever it comes out. For now, I will make do with finishing FF1-5 due to me finding a better PSX emulator than EPSXE (sinc emy FF games got burgled a few year back).

What is wrong with EpsxE? what is right with it;)?
Plugins here there and everywhere, all of them nowhere near perfect
FF6 and many games don't even start
Large bugs in game play
Slow game play 100% CPU
Anomalies on many game , like FF7 green oulines if you use some or 1 of the advanced features
Messing about allllll day with plugins, tweak here then oh no, that game doesnt work now
Not been an update in absolutey ages
pSX:
In production now up to 1.10 released this week (after 1.9).
No plugins, extremely simple to configure
Reasonable compatibility, better than EpsxE for me
Uses less than 15% CPU on my comp
No slow down when changing screens ata ll from my experience
Less bugs and missing screens
Music is pretty good considering how early we are, this will improve but is very good
Aim to make it most accurate PSX emulator then add extra features
Only main criticism is that the aim is to make it like real PSX with no real enhancements like Better filters or detailed models etc. Netplay and other features however are expected to be added
I am extremely impressed by this emulator, and i am not easily impressed. I have little doubt that in current trend, this emulator will kill EPSXE in less than 1 year. Same author hopes to make PS2 emulator also in the future:)

Played a bit of Amped 3 and Perfect Dark for 360 last night. I can honestly say that while I loved Perfect Dark, Amped 3 had some pretty interesting glitches. Playing the 2 player portion of it, we had a couple glitches where even though one of the players would have made it down the slope, it glitched and gave a score of 0 to both players. We also had an interesting one where we managed to get the bungee cord going in such a way that the both of us on tubes looked like a bola. That was quite the fun evening of playing games :D
24: The Game, Haunting Ground and NOLF 2. Settlers 2 is on the background, I might get back to it.

Even though I started a game of Xenosaga 2, that I'm not done with my game of Xenogears. I bought Kingdom Hearts 2 (mistaking it for the first one) and I've been playing that for a while. It's good. Not too bad, nott excellent. But it keeps me entertained...

I have been really getting headaches trying to learn to play Tetris with stereograms posted on DeviantArt...(i'll try to get teh link), but obviously I'm playing Metal Gear Solid - Digital Graphic Novel these days.
I was playing Second Sight, which turned out to be pretty awesome game. Nice story, decent voice talents, decent music, solid package.
Now, the next game I'll play is Broken Sword: The Angel of Death, which is the 4th part of the Broken Sword series. I'm looking forward to it. Depending on everything, next game after that might actually be Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. :)

FFIII. Its a really good game, The magic system is the old one with so many spells per level. Graphics, are what you expect on the DS, (N64ish). Touchscreen is useful but not needed... cant think of anything else to say at the moment, too buzy playing it

Just got myself Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Good stuff. Nice to see a classic brought back to life this well.
Broken Sword 4 was pretty good. Good story, acting, music, puzzles. A true adventure game.
Now playing Secret Files: Tunguska, which seems like an okayish adventure game so far.

Ahhhhhhh the horror! I need a memory card badhttp://rpgamers.info/images/smilies/bawl.gif
Well, Secret Files: Tunguska turned out to be quit mediocre. The voice cast was horrible, puzzles were either olligical or too easy. The best part of the game was fairly nice graphics, and all the prerendered (or, pre-drawn, if you will) backgrounds are very beautiful.

Yeah, the whole world is mirrored compared to Wii version. Overkill if you ask me. I'm sure they could have just changed the sword hand, or mirror Link only. Or to make it constant, mirror both versions. Seems very stupid to do that for one version to match sword hand with wiimote hand.
Playing Tomb Raider Legend right now.

Annie, once I attempted play SO1 but I was so Lazy that I ended up leaving it on the first 30 min. but now that I heard it again, I think i will give it a second try :).
And Musashiden, indeed MGS2 is a legendary game, I wish I have it to play it again :p
I'm currently playing nothing but I will as soon as I have time, and I will begin with Suikoden V, it has been 4 months on the drawer I think it's time to play it :)
Finally got around playing Shadow of the Colossus. And wow, what an awesome experience. There is not much replay value, unless you like to get all kinds of extra items or play on harder difficulty. So, it was a bit short, but it was quite legendary.
A week or so, depending how post will deliver, and I'll get my hands on the euro release of FF12. Hooray.
