Just came to my attention that the way in which Terri was relieved of the nasty life she lead was alot more barbaric in my opinion than it could have been. What is your opinion?

i dont believe that it was THAT barberic, she was unconsious and did not have the slightest clue of what was going on, she probably felt zero pain, she has been practically dead for 15yrs.

the way i would like to die (im too young to be thinking this, but well we all think about it) is painlessly in my sleep, i think that is possibly the best way for all.

I meant if you were her. In her situation. Personally 14 days to die when it could have been 5 minutes or less is very odd indeed.

Geos, here's the thing; don't think about it from Terri's perspective, look at it from that of her family.

Yeah, Terri probably felt nothing; But her family was made to sit, hands-bound, while the national news-media counted down her clock like it was frickin New Years' Eve in New York.

The emotional agony that must inflict on a parent or a sibling, knowing their child/sister is slowly rotting away, their own body eating itself alive... must have been hell.

That, friends, is a torture I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.

I am not christian, nor do I subscribe to any religeon... But dammit, Do we care so little for each other, that we can LEGALLY ignore the familial bonds that are the very core of our society? Her husband even witheld herlast rites. If someone has faith, Shouldnt they and their family deserve that small consolation?

Eh. I'm very bitter and ashamed of my tribe right at the moment. Time for a beer.

Oh, and my vote's for lethal injection. if it's good enough for my dogs and for Death-Row inmates, it's good enough for me.

A man of sense
More of a 'man of compassion', than sense, Fox. :pirate:

In the words of David Draiman, "Living My Life's Not Hard Enough" Apparently we're not happy with the small aches that come with living, so we must inflict more of the like upon each other. small, innocuous, insignificant hurts.

Death of a thousand pinpricks, that sounds like.

Every time I hear about some small cruelty like this, I promise myself to do some random stranger some good, to try and balance the scales again. It might not matter much on a grand scale, But the small victories do help me keep my sanity.

Maybe if we could all just take 5 minutes to give a flying f*ck about each other, things like this wouldnt occur!

But nope Marona however much I disagree with you on that, theres nothing to cry about:) The option was there to be voted upon. Peace. Silver agrees with you but the ass did not vote;)

i agree that while is was useless to keep her alive and in the end a wast of money and medical resources, she should not have been starved, that is a horrible fate ( since one of the few thigns i love to do is eat i can't imagin not eating for 15 hour let alone 15 days) while i do think she should have been let go like her HUSBAND wanted maybe something like leathal injection would have been better. how ever my evil side thinks that since the family made her live in a vegtible stat for 15 years haveing them suffer for 15 day is justice! ( note that just my evil side talking ). personal this sould never have been aloud to happen in the first place she was dead in all but name and should have been aloud to rest in peace!
