The RPGN Mod Squad

After recent events, I have decided to cancel the upcoming moderator elections. I thought it would be fun, but I think we are in need of them far sooner then planned.

I will be appointing a squad of 5 moderators, whom I believe I can trust to keep fair judgement and do the right thing. I am choosing these people from experience.

This mod squad's actions are logged, so if you feel an action was taken unjust to your beliefs, you can try to argue it, but I can't promise you'll win your case. I will announce the names for the squad shortly.

As I explained in our chatroom, the chatroom is kept safe, calm and cool because we have a lot of operators who know how to handle a situation. I do not have the time to devote to monitor this forum all the time, so bringing in help is an optimal solution.

I hope you will all treat our new moderators with respect.

As I said, the moderator squad will be chosen based on trust, and those appointed I do trust, very much so. They are not being selected to "spite you", and are not being chosen based on their opinions on an issue. They have been around RPGN for years, and know how to handle a position of power, as most of them are operators for our chatroom. My choices will be final.

As I said, all of their actions will be logged. I will be watching.

Ban dodging will not get you any bonus points here. You are going to drag this out, and ruin it for everyone, arn't you? Banned. Yojimbo was banned for being like daniel, but he made 1 post that was pretty harsh and I disagreed with that one.

Daniel was banned because he wouldn't quit an argument with dragonknight and Bjp4444 but they were just as bad if you ask me. Actually he survived that and went and hid in the chatroom, he hid there a few times to see what was said about him, then he wanted to appologise to that Marona girl but he was banned as fast as lightning or so he says:)

And I too will be banned because I am like them in many ways, and I posted a picture of what I think sums all this up, in pictures in general area.

They both racked up quite alot of posts and daniel had a server, to be honest I think that is what annoys him most. That he tried to add something to rpgamers but it was chucked back in his face. He can be real angry and his revenge is LETHAL I have seen it. Good job he didn't go through with it here.

And now they invented this God squad, as far as I can see this will only lead to people being told what to do and say.

And I also learned how to use the edit button so no more bad reputation please. (to be honest I didn't really know it was that easy)

PS. I just noticed that I have been given new bad rep, I don't come here that often but it never ceases to amaze me how some people on here will pounce on people that don't agree with them.

Your second post in this thread was more worthy, their bans were for many reasons, as I have explained. Not for their opinions, but for how they expressed them. This forum supports "free speech", but it is moderated to ensure the contents are friendly and welcoming for all RPGN members. Thus, you could argue that coming in and posting a thread full of swearing is expressing your right to free speech, but yes we are going to ban you and delete the thread. This is a community, and every community has its limits.

This whole situation reminds me of a certain Sony fangirl over at the old forums, who tried to convince the rest of us, with amazing arrogance, that by buying anything Microsoft we are supporting it's criminal activities or something like that. I bet dragon didn't get any bad reps apart from ones we sent because ppl agreed with his opinion, not the way he was arguing. Lets face it he was provocative and called names . But as I am now hearing on msn they share the same place.....that makes sense. Daniel would say logic.

In the end I am no longer bothered whether I get banned as I am furious at the injustice that has happened to my 2 friends. Make no mistake I am not gonna start shouting names like dragonknight I have put to you the other side of the argument but of course you are all 1 "club".

Finally daniel was banned for "hiding" in the chatroom.....and he was appologising. The fact that he was banned just goes to show that all along locke was waiting with the death blow.

As for walking away you can forget it. I will join them in the "land of the banned" for stating my opinion. I want to let this drop and to carry on at rpgamers but only if they are here, since for some bizarre reason I am still here alone its just no fun.

And Kilu stop getting too big for your boots. God hasn't bestowed any mod power on you yet although locke practically arse licks you so I will be going any minute!

Well, judging by this post alone it's obvious that you are actually asking for ban, rather than wanting to stay at all. Acting like an ass never solves anything.

The thread that had the last argument only tipped the scales over. As in, this wasn't the first time daniel and Yojimbo argued about something and personally attacked people while doing so.

I haven't even read the whole thread, because tire of people who have a lot to say, but absolutely nothing to base their beliefs in. Continuously posting the same thing with different wording, but never providing anything to back it up is tiring to read, and as this went for several pages... You simply can't argue your case by stating that it's obvious, or that's logical thing to do. Debates just doesn't work like that.

And my boots fit quite fine, thank you very much. If I get bigger, I'll just get bigger boots.

Actaully I'm quite gald that there is a new Mod squad. And I agree with Locke he has every rigt to call this site his child. He's put in so much work here that it might as wll be one. I used to belong to another Frorum that kinda went down. People jsut stopped going there. I didn hewver mange to get into cantact with ONE of the mebers. And I'd say it'd suck if this place wne down again. Congrats those of you who mad e the mod squad. I hope that all of you will work together to make this a better and funner place. I also hope that no other situations like the one that just happned will arise. Good luck and I will continue to post here as long as this place remains wich will rpoabbly be for a very long time. Do these forums have a list of rules or a TOS? If they do, it would be easier to see what actions can get you banned. I realize that I am new here, and I don't know what has occurred in the past, but it does seem like a reasonable suggestion to me. Also if there already is one I'm sorry for being too lazy to look for it.
