There're some sites which I cannot connect. What's wrong...I wonder... :(
These are...
Talahrama's FTP

The same things go with Gusto's FTP. Though I had been able to connect to Talahrama's FTP some times (but Gusto's FTP failed at the first try >_<)

Anybody helps me? >_<
Try switching between active and passive mode.

I've already done so. Nothing changed >_<
How about your connection? Does it go through router, for example?

What do you mean by "router" (sorry, not every English words can I understand)
Sadly, I'm using a 56 kbs dial up connection +_+ But I don't think it's the problem. More or less it must be the program which I use, or maybe my PC >_< But I won't be please to try reinstalling the whole Windows just for this matter b-(
So you are on dial-up. That pretty much rules out the router question, so nevermind that.
Here's the deal. Eventhough the mirror list tells you that a mirror is online, it may not be afterall. It's quite possible that talah rama and gusto are both offline. Maybe permanently? I don't know that.
Bamatone is offline now as well, have been for couple days now, but for when he comes back online, that 425 Cannot open data connection (10060).
[R] List Error
problem is probably fixable by changing between passive and active mode. I know you said that you tried that already, but did you try it when bamatone was actually online? :D

Then how damn can I know he is or not +_+
First, I got 421 too many connections for this account
I switch modes
And that's how it goes
425 Cannot open data connection (10060).

Basicly, if there is no response, the FTP is probably offline.
421 means that the FTP is full. The max capasity has been reached, and you'll have to wait until someone disconnects. Best way to do this is to set your retry to 60~120 (depending on FTP of course, I go with 120 to be on the safe side) seconds, and just let it retry if the ftp is full. If possible, put a soundeffect on the program to inform you when it has connected, so that you don't have to watch it all the time.

Yes, I mean the server is still online and thus, I managed to connect to it. However, it got some problems with listing the list and then connection time out!!!

I'm having a similar problem... but about that router thing... I'm going through a router and the file list won't appear. I've refreshed and it still doesn't show up.

Well, as I said in one of the previous posts, this is usually active/passive mode problem. That is all I can really say with the information I have.

I have the same problem with banatome, I've tried various different ftp programs including bulletproof, i get the same error:
[R] 150 Opening data connection for directory list.
[R] 425 Cannot open data connection (10060).
any ideas?

Try sending a PM to Bamatone if you are SURE that your problem does not come from an active/passive issue *shrugs*
That error message usually pops if remote user is behind a firewall (that means you, on the client end) or if remote user is behind a NAT. And passive mode is all you as a client can try. Because very few people seem to have this problem (I don't, Bama works like charm for me), it's more than likely a problem on the clients end, not servers.

Kilu's pretty much right. The only thing you can do is toggle your passive setting either on or off. I've had varying degrees of success logging into my own server from other locations. On the campus network it goes right through, but at home I'm not allowed to log in. It gives me an error that I'm giving two IP address. (Which I am - at home it's a private 192.168.x.x ip. At work it's a campus external address 130.160.116.x.)
At any rate, I don't believe there's anything I can do about it on this end. Good luck. :)
