created this thread after the sudden death of my dad on Wednesday 23rd Feb.

I really don't know what to say... I expected to read anything but this kind of news in this thread.

What happened to your father for him to die so suddenly ? I lost my grandfather because of a goddamn node in a piece of wood that was too hard to be cut :( The rotative saw threw it back at him :wonder:

Well, hold on Yojimbo ! It's a painful moment to live but everyone has to face it sooner or later :)

he had a fatal heart attack, totally out of the blue. The main thing that makes it all the worst, is that he was only 39yrs old, he should be here for another 39years. i will servierly miss him, i went to watch the local soccer team with him every week, it wont be the same going alone. we are gonna put a Union Jack on his coffin, and also put a soccer shirt on him.

it hasnt sunk in yet.

Sorry to hear about your father. He was so young.
My father died when I was a teenager In his mid 50's and I still cry about it every now and then.

i feel sorry yojimbo.losing someone dear to you in your family must be hard.I don't know how i will survive without my mom...

mr. yojimbo, i am truly sorry to hear about your loss. death is such a fickle enemy, he always seems to take the wrong person at the wrong time.

I must add my condolences as my Uncle too passed away of a heart attack on saterday. I somewhat know what your going through except not quite my father... I am sorry for your loss and I wish you the best in the continuation of you life. It's times like these when life gets really hard but you just need to keep on smiling and continue on... I can't say much other than this: sorry for your loss Yojibo... ^o^

thanks for everything guys, it means a lot. I have loads of support, many people will be at the funeral (about 200), my dad was a big character in the community and well known to many. im sure your dad will be in paradise.be happy for him because...well in paradise you get infinite things!They're always happy,free chocolate,beer,wine...err sorry i dozed off

no male inmy family line for 10 generation has lived for the n45 years i am 20 now now and i was not told this till last month now that a fucking tragity i am basicly told there is a great chance i will only live another 25 years I HAVE WASTED HALF MY LIFE!!!!

it will be very emotional day for me today....dads funeral. i am full of mixed emotions but that is the normal situation i think,
well from here on it starts off difficult but in time i really hope it gets a lot better, thanks for the support.

I am sorry to hear that, I remember what it felt like for that to happen to me. A year ago I lost my dad too, and since he and my mother got divorced I only just met up with him 6 or 7 years ago. It was a really hard and sad time, but if you need to talk to anyone let me know. I may not know much about you, but I know more about what you're going to go through.
