to all in the detroit/southeastern michigan/ontario area:
in today's (2.20.05) detroit news/free press, there was an article about how the programmer of pop events for the detroit symphony orchestra, Kendra Whitlock recently attended the final fantasy symphony that was on schedule for roseland, IL. i believe that this is the same as the "20020220" concert. it also states that she would be very interested in bringing it to detroit, possibly even this summer! however, she did now know what the level of interest would be in the concert, and gave out her email to gauge interest. It is: kwhitlock@dso.org. I would really suggest that anyone who is interested in even perhaps going email her so this can come to fruition.
thanks and go pistons!

that's fine if you can't go, i wouldn't realy expect you to email or anything. i guess my earlier post was merely a heads-up to those in the area. perhaps we can make it happen, i think i'd really like to go.

I'm still waiting for a game music concert a bit nearer than that :) Closest thing is the ones in Germany. Third one is this year, around August I think. Someone partly announced game list in a forum I frequent the other day.
- Silent Hill 2
- Arcanum
- Battlefield 2
- International Karate (C64 - classic)
- Spellforce 2
- Morrowind
Also note that these are only 6 titles of a program that is going to feature 14 - 16 compositions in total, performed by a 90 piece orchestra.
Now that's where I would like to go, rather than the FF concert.

My friends dorm buddy went to it this weekend, but I didnt hear how good it was. Awesome I'll bet at any rate. If the date happened to be early summer or late summer Me and a friend would probably be willing to road trip there if it meant going.

(that's a birthday surprise from momma...http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/wink.gif), but it should be on the main floor for the first night, saturday) and as much as i woudl hav eliked to, there's no way i was gonna ask anyone to shell out double for the meet-and-greet afterwards. for what, so i can say, "hey, i think your music is neat-o!" and then leave. just couldn't do it....
