Its St.Valentines day.
For those of us that have no one......to share it with.
I have to pray to aphrodite.
At least the damn stores will stop selling heart shaped pizzas and crap. So much commercialism.
But a,Happy Valentines day to all.

Happy Valentine's Day people!! :D
I already spent this morning consoling my friend about her lack of boyfriend, but she cheered up when we got the Disney videos. :D
As for me, I'll get back to you when the presents start arriving. I hope. :emlaugh:

Valentines Day is all about spending money. My girlfriend and I can't even really "celebrate" Valentines Day, because we're pumping every penny we have into getting married in May. If one can't truly celebrate a holiday due to lack of funds, there's a problem with the holiday.

Who says you have to spend money? Just drive to the beach & take a walk together or just hang out or something low-key like that. I almost never spent money on my girlfriend, and she liked me anyway.
Of course, now she's gone, but only because I left home and she joined the army.

That would be a good idea if I didn't live in southern Illinois. What else lowkey?

Good point. Hmmm... planning the wedding might be good, or is everything planned already? Backyard sports? All my ideas involve things here where I am.

It's all trivial. Neither of us care about doing anything anyhow.
Wedding planning is all complete. It's paying for it that's the hard part.

I've never had to celebrate a Valentine's day. Bad because it shows how lonely I am (not friend-wise, though) and how pathetic I am (because I've never had someone to share the day with, you know?). But good because I don't have to spend any money on anyone else! More for me!
EDIT: Oh yeah, happy Valentine's Day everyone!

You can go for a walk on the beutiful shores of lake michigan ckonze. A picnic even.
Only a couple of hours drive. Yeah its a little stormy but how else will you get the nice waves.
North Avenue beach is the best and you got the zoo or drive a little north for more quieter beaches.
Way north not like montrose beach, the death beach.

ckonze, it's quite easy, here's something i did that didn't cost that much, and that my girlfeind loved.
get yourself a blanket, lay it out by the tv.
buy some of your woman's favorite candy (like mini candy bars and such). get some strawberries and grapes. and if you're of age (i'm gussing you are) and can afford it, perhaps a bottle of red wine.
find the cheesiest, lovey-doviest movie she likes.
set it all up, turn the lights down low, and feed her the candy and fruit during the movie.
if that costs over 50$, you've bought way too much or way too expensive wine.
writing a poem never hurts also.
just trying to help.
go pistons!

Well actually it's not my anniversary, Jet. We just couldn't remember the exact date so we agreed to round it up. :emlaugh:
It saves us having to remember 2 dates and buy extra presents. :D
Speaking of presents!!!!
I got a soppy card (I sent a rude, funny one. My bad. :p)
A purple ronnie love mug.
Some yummy yummy chocolate!!!!
And an accessory for my ipod so I can listen to it using any radio or speakers. :D
