This is the thread totally centered on Pirates vs. Ninjas. Please post your opinion, maybe post pics, if anybody likes to draw and can draw well please do so. But mainly please discuss which one do you prefer or think would win. Personally I think Pirates would win, because of their strong attacks and bold war crys. =)

People who ask this question know litte about pirates and little about ninjas, if you actuall read up, it depends on the situation. but over all i would go with ninja's. I read alot about pirates, and they rarely got it on with anybody but each other.

I think this whole question is flawed, ninja vs. Assasins (You know the Artemus Enteri syle) Or Pirates vs. Vikeings. These are more acurrate questions, as they are on the same type of field. But Pirates vs. Ninja's? It's like Jaws vs. Sasquatch. It just doesn't work.

Certainly, they are not active spies anymore, but they have the capability to do so once more should the need arise.

Nope, you may be thinking of the samauri. Ninja's had no honour or scruples of any kind, and unlike samauri, who respected and treasured there blades, Ninja frequently used them as prybars or a leg up. There blades were of supriseingly crappy quality too, they could not be used for more than a few parries before shattering, and were only meant for "One Shot" use, if you catch my meaning.

No. They were not.
Do some research.
They were ment to kill one target, and capture thier blade if there was to be more fighting. You can break a Ninjato of the ninja time period by punching the side of it. They were made that way because the ninja broke good quality as quickly as poor quality, and there weren't "Ninja Smiths." Ninjato made in modern time are of excellnt quality though, because they are mont as collecters items.
As to the honour, they were not allowed to get caught killing one another, or rape women they captured, but that's it really.

They didn't actually want those around, they carried a sickness that could spread to humans. They often shot them, or tried to eat them.

i did some research, the ninjato was a fine blade tht was not ment to break once used cause the ninja would then have to relie on daggers ans throwing stars to get out if they where found out, and like anyother clan and family they did have smiths to make them bolth the ninjato and the ninja wehre multipourps tools to be reused they did not go one suicide missions unless it was nessasary due to the small and secretive nature of tehre family and clan i know this cause i have imersed my self in the history of japan, did you know that the emorer have his own personal ninjas?

Yes, I do know that. They are not often employed though.
They haven't seen much use scince the ye olde past.

And Astrlounge. Who may I ask withought getting a beating or yelled at is EX-2624-K? I'm not familliar with her. ^o^ I would be frightiningly surprised if anyone here knew anything about her. She is a character from a novel I read when I was younger.
The genetic/surgical experiment gone off-kilter type of thing. She's got some rediculously tuned senses, but mostly, her legs are capeable of fanaticaly high jumps, and kicking somone in the chest and having them turn practically to mush. Espescially when she dashes, she partly turns into light.
AndI think we all have a good idea how fast light is.

It's a really good book, and I am pissed off I can't remember the name of it.

And some 4 inch wedge summery sandal things which are slightly more comfortable...
And some other 3 inch sandals which look easy to walk in but the soles are pretty thin you feel any pebbles you walk over. >.<

So back on topic slightly, you have to admire pirates in their stereotypical heels and knee high boots, that's real bravery. :)

The toes are like that, because most of the people of that time were used to wearing sandels I would guess.
But with the toe like that you would need to modify your socks.
Or not wear any, but then your fancy shoes would stink.
