I honestly doubt the need for Zedie's own request thread :) Why should you have any kind of special treatment :p So anyway, if anyone has any requests, this would be a good place to post them. Just don't overdo it :p

And Zedie, about Ninth Gate, the two files you asked will probably be on the usual place hanging loose on the default folder later today. Maybe when you are online.

And maybe I'll start myself. If anyone has a good rip of O' Brother, Where Art Thou soundtrack, I would be more than happy to have that. And by good rip I don't mean the one that you can find from suprnova right now. The one which is obviously collected from various different sources, bitartes varying from 128cbr to 192 cbr. That just doesn't cut it with my golden ears :)


EDIT: Ninth Gate missing tracks for Zedie in 128cbr are uploaded now. I listened them, and it's hard to say if there is much difference at all between reprise and the non-reprise. The files are different sized, so I guess there is something :hmm:

:hungry: I started upping your requested OST just now, and hopefully it will finish before I have to leave. It's an older rip I made from a friend's cd, so the bitrate is a bit lower than my current setting, and I think this was before I gave in a starting using the newer id tags, but that's a minor quibble. If you want higher bitrate than what you're getting, you can continue seeking, or wait until I can borrow the cd again. ;)

Awesome, thanks. As long as it's a good rip, no clips and pops, I'm a happy man :) That OST rocks my socks. Man of Constant Sorrow is awesome. I had no idea I liked bluegrassy music until I heard that. Atleast I'm assuming it's bluegrass. Genres suck anyway.

Btw, I have the newest Tag & Rename :) Version 3.1.5. Awesome :) The AMG support isn't back, but amazon will do for now. I will end up verifying everything anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Nope, the ost only has the japanese version sung by Yae. Only album that I know of and has the english version is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles - A Musical Journey (http://gmronline.com/info.asp?CatNumber=3592366) which was a Promotionnal disc sold with the limited version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles in Europe. I'm sure someone has ripped it, just keep your eyes open.

Why don't you get it in SPC format ? Zophar's Domain (http://www.zophar.net) should have the complete OST in their SPC archive...

Actually, don't go to even near zophars spc archives. Death Adder, in his era, made a huge mess of them, and Narvick hasn't had the time to sort them out.

Instead, first download SENSAmp (http://www.alpha-ii.com/Download/SAmp320.exe) winamp plugin and install it. Then go to SNESmusic.org (http://www.snesmusic.org/spcsets/). They don't have as much junk as zophar does, but I believe in quality over quantity. All their sets are properly tagged and timed, something that can't be said about zophars sets.

I just listened all the final battles and whatnots, there are no 'last battle version' of otherworld. How different is this version you are referring to from the Otherworld that the ost has?
It's not on the OST. It's heard in the US version of the game... I don't know if it's in the japanese one.

I have the one disk American Soundtrack. They wouldn't change the final battle music over something like where it's released. Since it's not an movie sequence they wouldn't bother, if at all.

Anyways, I really think that since there is such a minute difference between the two tracks that you'll get one unless you rip it directly from the game.

Starship Troopers was uploaded this morning, music\film osts\. Tags follow my regular tagging format :) Eventhough AMG is fuxored again (with Firefox I might add, IE works fine, but I refuse to use it) I think the tags should be right. Afterall, I looked them from the cd case.

What better way to resurrect this thread than to ask a vbr rips (preferably #gamemp3s with svfs still in place) of Final Fantasy Tactics OST and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance OST :)

I recently noticed that my current rips are 192cbr and 128cbr, respectively. The 192cbr is the one that's on Kyari right now, I have no idea where I got that FFTA one.


This is the start for my current project of going through all my mp3s and retagging when needed and upgrading when needed. And even 192cbr isn't good enough for my Golden Ears™ :) :D So, I'll be probably requesting more stuff as I go along. Hooray?

Hooray, thanks for both :) I am in no hurry, take your time :) But out of curiosity, what kind of rip you would make of the FFT? I mean, what setting do you use? If I'm assuming APS, would I be right? :)

I usually use EAC with lame 192 VBR. If you tell me what kind of rip you'd like, I can make it for you.

APS is short for --alt-preset standard command line parameter for LAME. Good majority of #gamemp3s releases are APS. I'm thinking that it gives 180-210 vbr. I personally have been using APX, which is--alt-preset extreme lately, around 210-240 vbr.

192 vbr sounds quite good, as it's basicly what APS is :)

If your SPC's are well tagged, I guess you will not see much difference... I will try them sometime.

And about that Live a Live, I was wondering that if I have the spc packs, is there any use to get the ost, and as it so happens, the OST is infact OSV, atleast according to Chudah's Corner, and thus I have no need to request it :) Spcs are quite enough :D

But if you are interested, you can find lots of properly tagged spcs in SNESmusic.org (http://www.snesmusic.org/) along with the best winamp spcplugin :) There is of course no need to change your mp3s for spcs :)

As far as the Vanguard Bandits goes, you might also want to try looking for Epica Stella Original Soundtrack (http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/fsca10052.html). Which is the original name of Vanguard Bandits OST.

Where to begin...

I have been attempting to start a little collection of video game music from games I've played and whatnot. But I have had nothing but bad luck with FTP servers. I seem to try to connect to servers when they are very busy and can never get connected. Or, when I do manage to, the download speeds are atrocious and it takes forever to download just one song.

Anyway, there are a few albums I'd love to have. I've made a request to Locke Cole, but I know he's extremely busy catching up with requests. I'd like to not burden him with my request so he can continue on with the older requests. And, I don't have much of anything to share except for albums that I'm sure everyone else already has.

These are the albums I'd love to get for now:
Final Fantasy - Pray
Final Fantasy Live Concert (Febuary 20, 2002) (Both discs)
Shadow Hearts OST (Both discs)
Xenosaga OST (Both discs)

If it is at all possible to receive these somehow, it would be much appreciated! But like I said, I don't have much of anything to share back, so I'd feel bad asking for something without sending something in return. But I thought I'd request nonetheless...

Everytime I read the Saga Frontier tracklist I start to lough a little. I really dont know, why japanese composers chose german names so often. Well, prolly because nordic countries got a bunch of fantasy and they seem to love it but its just a speculation... anyway, it sounds soooo strange when they write german. Wow, I believe you're one of the first new members who actually says that ! I have to congratulate you somehow... :p

If you just cannot log in because there are too many users, then just wait one or two days and you'll eventually get in, don't worry :) We all went through that ordeal one day or another :D

If his server really has a problem, you have to know that Bama is someone reliable. These troubles will probably be fixed soon...

No the problem is something with my IP address. Something about the IP address not matching or somthing. Ah well, I guess I'll keep looking for somewhere that has the OST's. If you guys know or come across any Fire Emblem ones randomly, please PM me;) Thanks! ^_^

Maybe you're behind a proxy ? Or maybe you use FlashXP ? I remember reading somewhere that FXP behaves strangely (IP-wise), and I know that several FTP servers (such as GuildFTP) can be set to ignore / ban FXP users with weird connexion behaviours.

What software do you use to access FTPs ? I recommend FileZilla FTP client.

A proxy is a computer that is connected to the internet and grants access to it to other computers within a subnetwork. If you connect via a proxy, outside servers can only see the proxy's IP, not yours. That may cause troubles if you send your real IP on FTP instructions (such as PORT) whereas the server receives the proxy's IP.

To make it short, if you're connecting from a school/university/lab computer, there's a high chance that you are behind a proxy. If you just connect to the web from home directly by your ISP connexion, you should not be behind a proxy.

I'm trying to first finish my Saga Frontier II ost. (Yes, I know Laban has this, but on the off chance I do connect, I disconnect / timeout after finishing a song, which is very annoying.) Needed Disc 3 - tracks: 11-13, 15-19, and 21.

Also wondering if anyone in the free world has Unlimited Saga.

I'm willing to trade nes stuff or any osts I have that you might be needing, so at least I'm nice-like.

They exists, atleast as far as I can interpret Chudah Corners Tracklists. The album you seek is Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission Original Soundtrack (http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/avcd17388.html). According to album details all those songs are english and are performed by Jade from Sweetbox. I don't have the songs myself, but the direction should be correct atleast :)
