View Full Version : House!
Not really though.
This is another picture thread, where you can post other pictures. Duh~
It doesn't have to be your house, eventhough the thread title says so
I'll go first, obviously.
It might be better if I just link to the pictures, because this thread might get heavy if we all start posting big pictures in here :)
Here (http://rpgn.lintbox.net/hosting/userfiles/Kilu/room1.jpg)'s my very unergonomic writing/mousing space of my table. I don't drink my coffee black, because I'm a wuss.

My box (http://rpgn.lintbox.net/hosting/userfiles/Kilu/room3.jpg) and some other stuff.

Aw man if I had seen this thread I would of put my lame pictures that I put in the "Pictures" thread.
The picture of pikachu playing hide-n-seek is cute.
Looks like you live near a forest. Take some pics.
Is it all evergreen trees? Here we have mostly leaf trees. There all bare and sticks. Sleeping.
Here's a few more pics of chicago buildings. Sorry but there blurry. Going real fast.
This is one of the biggest juvenile detention centers(kid jail)in the world.
There's a glass pyramid on the top but it got cut off. The older facility is in the back. Ive been there once and visited a lot of freinds in there. It should be destroyed.
The style of building, square with a glass pyramid,is being used a lot in new buildings around chicago. Its hideous.

Yay, Kilu :)
this thread is waaaay cool.
You know, ever since Kyari showed us round his house last year I wanted to show you guys my room, and made a few pics...just I never really got round to posting them.
So, now that I have my second chance, I'll definitely use it....
behold, this is my old room, back from the times when I lived underground :D
I took pictures in a 360° turn.
This is the door (http://img161.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img161&image=01door6vd.jpg) of my room, from the inside. I used it as a wardrobe.
This is my big ol' TV (http://img191.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img191&image=02tv0jn.jpg), right next to the door.
The following ones are the shelves (1 (http://img191.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img191&image=03shelvespart11ey.jpg), 2 (http://img176.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img176&image=04shelvespart26vc.jpg), 3 (http://img176.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img176&image=05shelvespart33mc.jpg))that lined the walls, with a few of my precious treasures in them (most of my collection resides in boxes at my friends' house)
This is my bed (http://img176.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img176&image=06bed6ou.jpg), the best place on earth :) (I'm such a sleepy-head)
Finally, my desk (http://img176.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img176&image=07desk9nz.jpg)...that's where I was sitting typing all those posts til last year's summer :)
...and those shelves (http://img176.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img176&image=08moreshelves0kf.jpg) conclude the turn around my room.
I hope you have enjoyed the journey, and will visit more often....
neyt time it might be our garden (ok, better in summer :D), or my new room...
who knows?
Nice tour, Elhaym :D. (I wish I had so much space in my room O_o)

Cool trees pikatsu, some of them look really old.
Is there any wildlife? Bears, raccons,or even better wolves?
I looked out my window this morning and theres thousands fat geese resting in the clearing. You can see in the Pictures thread how my window view is and the clearing before the forest. Its covered in 6 inches of snow.
All the geese body heat is melting the snow. Im tempted to cross the street and run through the resting flock. Think Ill survive?
It looks crowded were you live Jalk. Reminds me of a chicago residential street. And it looks hard to find parking.
I see you like the blue glass to Elhyam.
JetBlue : I live more or less in the middle of Paris so, yes, it is really crowded (well, I'm here just for my studies, the rest of the time, I live in the country). I'm not really fond of big cities, by the way...
Well that was just Jalk's evening rambling :D

Those deer are just like people. Some let me pet them and feed them and some try to bite and kick me away. Im gonna go give them this pack of hamburger buns I got in the pantry.

Cool. Thats how it was here last saturday when we got 14 inches. Do you shovel kilu?
One of the best things for me in winter is to go out and shovel. The quiet and the white out conditions. So peaceful.
Also you could take a snowball roll it around on the ground make it bigger but the snow conditions have to be just right for that effect. Then use the snow for snow sculpture or a snow fort.
I don't shovel :D
And I haven't made a snowman in ages.
I took some more pictures. Hooray.
Shelf pictures 1 (http://img159.exs.cx/img159/3568/shelf11xe.gif) 2 (http://img151.exs.cx/img151/1861/shelf29fw.gif) 3 (http://img155.exs.cx/img155/1936/shelf33uo.gif) 4 (http://img156.exs.cx/img156/9927/shelf44ln.gif) 5 (http://img155.exs.cx/img155/4818/shelf58gr.gif) and some random stuff 1 (http://img155.exs.cx/img155/5328/stuff18ze.gif) 2 (http://img155.exs.cx/img155/9250/stuff23ni.gif) 3 (http://img155.exs.cx/img155/3536/stuff31ev.gif).

How long are your winters?
Here the heavy snowfall starts in january and we get 3 big storms over till march and everything starts to melt and heat up. Rarely it gets -20 F.
It use to be much colder when I was a kid and the snow would fall starting december but not anymore. I think global warming. Or draught.

well, better late than never http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/embarassedlaugh.gif
Kilu & Pika - :amazed: you guys own a lot of Pikachus. I didn't know you liked Pokemon that much.
As for your question, Pika - Jiji is the small black cat from "Kiki's delivery service", a great movie by Hayao Miyazaki. I also have a plush Totoro :)
The smaller Jiji is my good luck charm for written exams.
...and before you have to ask, a Chu Chu is a terribly cute animal from Xenogears, with terrific fighting abilities.
http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/love.gif wow, you guys have that much snow...awesome
(but I guess, only for me - since you probably have that much every year in winter, I figure it might be more of a nuisance than fun or beautiful)
^^ I have some nice snow pictures from last winter, maybe I'll post them later.
:) You've got a nice place, Jalk - I can imagine that it is quite comfortable and cozy (I always liked small rooms). Is it your place to live while studying? And, btw, what are you studying?
JetBlue > :( too bad you couldn't take a picture of those geese- I would have likedto see them....
:) but your description was done well enough for me topicture them sitting there huddling together. It must have been quite a sight when they took off...

I guess I can show you my room too.
So here goes:
This (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/1.jpg) is basically my workspace. From what you can see on the books, I study a lot of business administration. There's also my tax declaration thingy I have to fill before april...some money and the rj-45 cable that connects my computer to the internet.
Here (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/2.jpg) you can see that yes I am Star Wars freak :p and I down the Family Guy DVD. Also, I like reading Machiavel (sp?) on how to rule :p I am currentyl trying to learn to use Access so that explains this book. There are some movie OSTs and the cup mute I use for my trumpet. Cell phone and also my bus pass (my pic is horrible on the bus pass so I won't show it to you)
That (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/3.jpg) is my school schedule, so as you can see I have no classes on friday :p
This (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/4.jpg)is were I put everything when I arrive in my room. There's a cassette in the player but it's been there for at least 10 years...don't know what's on it...The key with the cord, with my university name on it, and my sunglasses I use to not be blinded by the sun's reflection on the snow or water or itself.
Here (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/5.jpg) is my PSone collection of games.Mainly FF games but also CC, CT, GT. No Xenogears yet :( M wampa doll my gf gave me for my birthday a year ago and some other books.
The multimedia environment (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/6.jpg) of my room :p, My TV, my DVD player with the sound system. Crappy, but does the job. Also my PSOne which is not used currently.
The CPU (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/7.jpg) where I connect to the internet :p, this thread (though someone might have posted by the time I finished writing this message. My LOTR books .
Under the bed (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/8.jpg) is where the internet is created(joy!). My router and the crappy DSL Sympatico modem.
The Bed (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/9.jpg) where it's fun to be when I'm tired. Some big band sheet music I have to practice. And some picture of me when I was young and had curly hair...
And finally, I do some sport (http://membres.lycos.fr/mithy/oldthings/10.jpg)you know :p
There's a closet but it was so dark that you couldn't have seen anything...maybe I'll take a picture during the day.
So that's my room.
I have a question. In some of your psx games you have some kind of green thingy in the case, what's that?
It's quite sunny right now outside. And lots of fresh snow. Spring is approaching by the looks of it. Sure, it's still months away, but this kind of weather is one o f the few things that I like about winter.

here are some pictures from my room... i have quite a few here, but they're all small, so I guess that's good enough. hell, i'm a mod... it IS good enough! =D
keep a few things in mind when you look at these... 1) my room doubles as a guest room whenever guests are here. 2) my room triples as my brother's room whenever i'm not here. 3) my mom has a surplus of junk, and she has to stick it all somewhere.
http://sixty9.servebeer.com/pics1/i%20hate%20the%20picture.jpg

my grandfather painted that picture there. also, that wood vase with the eucalyptus coming out of it is made from this rare wood that only grows in two places on the entire face of the earth. a lot of the junk in this pic my mom bought because she thinks i collect... whatever. eggs, jars, crap in general. whatever.

this is all mostly toys from when i was little or souvenirs from vacations. it's kind of hard to make out, but there are two figures, one stacked on top of the other, on top of the tall, vertical shelf. some pesky jamaican salesdicks tried to sell them to me, but i turned them down. but after we get back home, my mom hands me a pair as a gift.

i like playing mellophone and piano. i'm no virtuoso, but it's not a bad way to spend my time. i don't particularly like the sound of this mellophone, though... it sounds kind of empty. but i don't mind too much.
...i'll finish up the tour of my room later on. i'm kinda sleepy right now.

im liking your collection of boomerangs, post them over to my address in England or shove them on ebay and i buy ^o^
also your granddad seems like a good artist, so is my Auntie she was a teacher in my high school for a short time, and i was still attending the high school at the same time, but i didnt do art so i didnt see her unless i was in the technology department, if i get the chance i will take a picture of a painting she did, the painting hangs above my staircase.

why thank you. =)
the bottom boomerang is manufactured, but the other three are aboriginal. i've broken at least one of my other aboriginal ones while playing with them, but they're all in boomerang heaven now, so it's okay.
anyway, on with the tour...

those weird-looking heads glued to the plywood are supposed to be bookends my mom made for me. they're ugly.
http://sixty9.servebeer.com/pics1/sheep!.jpg
here's the sheep that has inspired many a flash animation by me. and by "many," i of course mean two. the book you see there is john edwards' final beginnings. some pretty girl on the plane gave it to me however many months ago. i've never gotten anything from random people i meet on the plane before. it makes me feel so special! ^.^
not that i plan on finishing it or anything.
http://sixty9.servebeer.com/pics1/morestuff.jpg
here are a few things on top of the piano. my grandfather drew the sunset there too. i should toss out the junk up there... my mom doesn't realize all that stuff gets in the way.
http://sixty9.servebeer.com/pics1/shipncanyon.jpg
this is the last one i feel willing to show... nothing particularly spectacular.
then i have some stuff on the other side of the room... maybe i'll take a picture of that tomorrow.
I will revive this thread soon!
I also noticed that most (all?) the links I put here are pretty much dead. How unforntunate.
I just remembered that I already have one picture I can use here. I did it sometime before christmas 07, the dude sitting on the sofa is my brother Jari (pikatsu).
It's a neat panorama picture, click the thumb for full size.

I need more stuff on the walls. I have a calendar below that picture and a clock next to it now, but the wall that you don't see here is also entirely empty.

I was about to yell about this thread not being in Film and TV forum... Buuut then I saw it really is about houses and not House, M.D. Maybe I will put a picture of my apartment up soon!
There actually is two (2) threads about House in the tv forums. :p

Of course, the general messiness ads to the dumpiness.
My gear, let me show you it.
