New Adsense Ads on the Forums

Hello everyone,

I know we have enjoyed an ad-free RPGN Forum system for years now, however I am trying to rid of our popup ads on the rest of the site, so we are testing out these Google Adsense ad banners. You should notice them now appearing at the top of the page. Do you think they are alright? Not too annoying?

I want everyones' feedback as to a move like this. Please let me know what you think of having a banner at the top of the pages. The banners are pay per click unlike the popups (which paid per view), but they are targeted ads, so the click rate should be fair compared to standard banners that just show random junk.

I am not allowed to ask you to click, or encourage clicking, so if you see something of interest come up, its up to you to click the banner. Your feedback is important, so please post your comments.

In case that it helps RPGamers to exist (now and in future), I find it okay... Its just a mini graphic I'lll get used to.
I havent clicked on it yet.. but I spend a lot of time in front of my computer.. so it wont hurt to click on it one or two times a day with knowing that it helps a forum I use and like. Its the least a poster can do.. it can also be seen as a sign.. like a little tribute. Keeping up and care for a forum is more work than clicking on something one or two times a day.

Doesn't bother me.
Maybe I click some once in a while :) Sometimes the adds are really funny. Audioscrobbler uses google ads as well in the profile page, and they once showed an ad fro Terminator Exoskeleton :D This was due the Terminator Soundtrack pieces on my recent tracks :) But boy, did I laugh.

Me neither I think its useful for the surviving of the page and its a good oportunity for those who are interest in the ads so go ahead.

Its a great help for people that accidently reach the site. You know google is responsible for half of the hits on the internet.

Nor did I. O_O They're not very invasive, just the right size and color to completely escape notice. Shouldn't be any problem to click on it a few times to generate revenue for such a great site.:tophat: In fact, I think I'll do so right now. :dance:

Well it's good to hear that the ads are not bothering anyone. They don't bring in as much as the popups, but they are so much less annoying, and that counts 150% in my decision to keep them over the popup ads once we move the site to the new box.
