Somewhere between 11-30 dollars. When the red cross guy visited my work place I gave out all the coins that I had under 1 €. Which ended up being quite a lot.

He didn't mean he didn't donate because the people are of different religions, he said it would be against his religion to donate and help such a cause. I personally dont care as I stated in the book of condolonces thread... but that doesn't make me a retard.... Heartless, and uncaring maybe...but I have to be, tis my way of life. I live a life of Neutrallity. You don't get into many conflicts for not caring, heh.

so true, but i am not sure they lost that much i mean i qouted one billion canadian then you add in the billions world wide lets just say most of the places hit where not top of the chart in the econmy list that much case injected into a system not used to handling it will cause more problems then it will fix, if people want to wast there money thats fine with me but know this only a 100th of the amount you send will go to helping the poor they area already catching people stealing money and diverting it for there own ends. and i see your new to this foroum i am the local evil asshole nice to meet you if you ever need someone to ask about the dark side of somethign i am more then willing to tell you, i have scoured librarys and the internet cross refrencing the dark side of this pathetic world http://in.news.yahoo.com/050116/139/2j1rp.html and people wonder why i hate all other churches exept mine at least we admit we are evil!

You should follow the golden rule, if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. A simple "I chose not to donate" would have been plenty. Religion has nothing to do with helping out those in need. Its a personal decision. I know if I had lost everything, I would hope someone would help me, and so I tried to do what I could for those in that position. Its not a lot, but its what I had to offer. My donation was made on behalf of the RPGamers Network, so all users of this site are somewhat credited for a donation if you think about it.

I personally didn't donate any money this time, but it's not because I have any objections to the cause or anything. Money's been tight lately and unfortunately for the victims, I have two big trips coming up (well, one is over now) that cost money.

I did donate to the victims' fund when the latest hurricane came through and trashed the panhandle of Florida and south Alabama. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are two places in Alabama that got hit hard. They are places I've been before and I know people who live there. So it's makes it much easier to donate money that way. I do hope people continue to give to the Tsunami victims. This is nothing something that's going to be fixed with the wave of a wand. And the notion that they already have enough money is incorrect. Most people just can't wrap their minds around the fact of just how much money it's going to cost to fix all the damage there.

This is not the kind of post I'd expect to see from a person who sees themself fit as a moderator. Everyone has the right to a fair opinion, and if someone found that offensive, they do have the option to leave a feedback. Its not the end of the world, and certainly does not need an outburst like this. How do you think people felt about your comment? Especially if they lost family or friends to the disaster? Their loved ones are part of that impressive body count. A smart choice of words is all thats required. Your words can be misunderstood. Chill out.

i didnt even bother to donate because the people from the affected countries said "we dont want any money."

also because i know if it was the other way around (like it was in Carlisle in England) those people would not donate for us.

also because i know if it was the other way around (like it was in Carlisle in England) those people would not donate for us.that's because they're poor and uninformed, not apathetic. (but of course, i'm just speculating.)

they need food water and equipment not money, money to then is paper they don't have the things needed to help them they can't build a house or school out of money all your doing is throwing your money away. When you talk about how they won't do they same for us i think its mostly because we can take care of our selfs more then they can i mean if a flood hit hamilton not only would it do less damage ( we tend to have better buit buildings) but we have the resources to rebuild steel lumber and what not are in good supply not like over there

What the heck do you think the money is being used for? If you donate to a proper organization, they will tell you exactly how your money is being used, mainly for food and medical supplies, clean water, etc. They don't take my $50 and mail it to some person over there....

when i said they wouldnt do it for us, i meant it as if we were in their situation. they would just tell us to shove it and go on build your own houses without our money. also even though my country England is very rich when we had the Bostcastle floods we needed lots of money and nobody wanted to help.

and also on the poll tally at the top of the screen, i think that Marona shouldnt have been able to put "heartless retards" on it, what if someone could not donate for some reason. i didnt donate a penny but still i have given to other things generously in the past, does that still make me a heartless retard. next time Marona think before you write (although i sometimes do that, but not often)

i'm not sure if the boscatle flood are on the same level of magnitude as the tsunami that hit southeast asia. i'm not saying that it wasn't bad, the pictures i've seen show the destruction. also, from what i've read, it's good to hear that no one died.

i'm also sorry you feel that the spirit of giving does not live within all human beings. i disagree withouy there. i see it all over. but than again, perhaps my view is skewed, since i have had homeless people give me change for the parking meter before.

just remember, all you give out will come back you tenfold.

peace and love

25€ or something like that.I'm still worried about that how much of my donation really goes to those who need it.After reading all kinds of articles I'm quite sceptic.
