It's that time of year again... EXAMS!! Hurrah! I mean NOOOO! I've writen one so far... English, which wasn't so bad. However I've a Physics exam tomorow, and after that my modern history exam and I'm done.

So really other than that phys one, I don't really have a problem with exams this semester.

I have been reading through past convo's, soem of which are very humouress:) I have flu though so I think it is tiem I went to bed.

I have been bed ridden for 2-3 days because some fool cannot keep their hands over their mouth whilst coughing (my sister is the usual culprit, thinking of banning her when she is disease ridden)

this has been 3rd worst pain in my life, felt like someone was rippin my limbs off. Anyway, its on the way out but I am still pretty ill but i have also been defying it by carryin on as i normally would (in the last 2 days atleast), however unwise.

Other than that, final push to get game completed, which really it has been for ages but I have not finished small things off. Mate finished graphics, some are good, and music which is nice (zeugma listened to 1 track and liked it)

Also, springs to mind is rpgamers which seems to be 95% dead....

Oh and someone has just had his car smashed a few times by some yobbo...i heard loads of commotion and saw a guy fleeing the scene in a car. I thought it was my psychotic neighbour banging again so i didn't have time to call police because i just ignored the noise. Since I put my speakers on cushions and kept the loud hours to before 9PM he hasn't been up, though he sarcastically bangs every now and again. He can bang all he wants, if he comes up here again he will just get told straight to fuck off.

Life's been pretty good for me...
Classes are always bothersome, but at least they aren't too hard :p
Work is still going along as it usually does... slow & steadily
I'm hoping to start coming back to RPGN more than I have in the last while, but who knows ;)

Life is going really well...every day I play with my friends...at school, classes are really less boing than last year (and I've got to be thankful for the temporary lack of homework)...playing my guitar a lot...listening to music...can't get any better.

I still wonder what 2007 will bring. =)

Life at the moment is really 'dry' (boring). I've been playing WoW between semesters recently (yes, thats where I've been :D) and it really sucks the life out of doing school and homework....

I can hardly wait for the semester to be over and get back to saving the world!

Hey! WB, it has been a long time since I saw your name on these boards. Let's hope you stick around! (unlike a certain Zedie9, which never came back...:p)

Anyway for me, I just got promoted!!! :D Yes yes, I am very happy about it and hopefully, my salary is going to become more interesting.

Right now I'm feeling the 'stress' of being just a poor student. I'm going be interviewing for another job here pretty quick...I hope I get it.

Anyway, back to life I suppose. Doing great, I have homework that takes my mind off the fact that I'm not playing WoW and sav....great, now I thought of it and am depressed again. I guess I'm still going through withdrawls...... :emlaugh:

*Blade appears from the abyss*

Life? I sold mine for a donought and a piece of string... Just Kidding!

Well Some time ago I posted about exams... I Failed physics... No surprise there though I hated the coarse and didn't really understand much about it.

Right now I'm on March break after that it's back to school as per usual. I'm going a Multi-Genre project for English on .hack. Should be really intreseting as I've found a TON of hisory behind the game (fictional history that is) that will make writing it very ineresting. For example the execution of the Japanese youth who caused on of the Viruses before Pluto Kiss the one cause by the 10 year old.

Other than that I'm playing FFXI. It's a pretty good MMORPG and time consuming so I'm trying to stay away from it unless I have free time to play. I usually try to think if I have anything importan to do before starting so that I don't miss out on anything.

Other than tha I'm tired ans should go to bed soon...

Life!? I don't have one! Just kidding, but not really :D. I haven't been doing much. It seems as if my life is run on a schedule or something. I get up about 6 take a shower, go to school, come back, eat, computer, sleep. Basketball is over so I'm not really doing anything lately. It appears I haven't been on RPGN for a while. Maybe I am a mere ghost writing for Giea. I have been playing MapleStory, but my time is slowly receding. One thing that has been bright in my dull life is Tim and Eric Awesome Show: Great Job. It makes it better you can watch them online. My birthday is coming up soon, so I guess I must start making a list or something. Hope everyone's spring season (or whatever) is going a-ok! All of my love from Gieaaa!~

Good because I was finally diagnosed with Hypothyroidism as i suspected I had contrary to the opinion of 1 other incompetant doctor.

Bad: because I will have to take a number of tablets to replace the lost hormone for life.

Now, back to video editing my 2003 family get together at Blackpool.

Still working for the same employer, got like four raises in the two years I've been there. Now I take care of more important stuff since february, when I got a promotion.

I just bought a Dell computer, which I'm expecting sometime tomorrow....to get rid of my old celeron 667mhz, 2mb of video memory, 191 mb of Ram, 10Go of HD.

Surely, from 191mb of ram to 2go will be a major difference. 2mb to 256 mb of video memory could do some good and finally, a 667 mhz celeron upgraded to a AMD Athlon 64x2 5600+ is going to be awesome.

Other than that, I'm following computer science courses at the city University which takes me some of my free time.

That's basically it.

How did this thread get so buried? Haha, crazy.

Well, my world is a little busier now. It started when a good buddy of mine's g/f cheated on him. The next day I helped him move some of his stuff out (they lived together) and he's been sleeping on my couch ever since last month. We're moving into a bigger apartment this Saturday.

I also started taking classes again as prep work for graduate school in the fall. I have a math class for the first time in 5 years and did factoral equations today for the first time in 8-10 years. Fun stuff.

In order to make up the time lost in classes at work, I have to go in an hour earlier each morning (7am), and of course I have to manage my time more efficiently while I am at work. Besides that, I still work my part time job taking pictures.

And I somehow I still find time to chat in #rpgn! :amazed:

Life's pretty swell. The annoying as hell neighbors who lived next door to me moved out, and they took their little 4 year old brat with them! Thank God. No more listening to that bastard bellyache and scream while I'm trying to study or play Mass Effect.

My mum died 2 or 3 days ago, everything else just melts away cyrano. Believe me when your mum goes it will be last of your worries. Feel so helpless. Trust me, always make sure your mum knows how much you love her.

I always did but its still little comfort, but its better than if you didn't. You can't know what they eman til they are gone. In the coming days I have been told to expect mental breakdown and physical collapse.

I am ready as I will be for it. We shall see :)

Oh, no. I didn't mean these forums. I just meant where I'm living right now. My home state, Michigan, is really starting to suck. Long babble about Giea's life. So you're probably like Giea's just that annoying guy the chatroom who never stops talking. Well I guess this is just a little bit more of me talking, or a bit more in depth about my life :P. I'm just a normal 15 year old (not always normal). I hardly do anything but I really like cooking, fashion, art, and videogames. I guess I don't have a vision set for my future, it's all a big blur. I don't really have a personality. I have all A's in school probably, because I don't have anything else to do.. but keep up with my grades. I have a lot of friends at school but none of them usually like to hang out with me after school. It doesn't bring me down all the time, just sometimes. I am a little bit touchy or emotional, and I think I've come to terms with it. I love intellectual conversations, even though if my input seems unintelligible. So this is the "how's life" and not "who are you thread". So I'll answer that question.. life is okay right now but if you ask me in about thirty minutes I will probably tell you it's horrible. It's almost Spring Break, but I don't have my hopes for anything. So if thought my life was complete anonymity, you have a little background about me. :P

Life's been pretty swell as well. I'm making new friends pretty much everyday since I changed school. =] I pretty much just finished enjoying the lack of true homework by doing math exercises, and urgh - Reading Phantom of the Opera "Intermediate Level" edition. The downside of knowing English at my age is not being able to read those books at their fullest already (I can only do that after I'm finished with other school books XD).

I'm having to burn my brains out with Spanish classes though, since my other school didn't have them.

... I wonder if there's a guy whose job is to paraphrase amazing books with simple use of grammar so that people new to the language can understand it? i.i That sounds like an interesting job.

I guess I should say hello again :p, I've been away from the forum for a while...

As to hows life.... life has been pretty crazy as of late. I've been busy running my department at work (I run the polishing bay in a machining plant that makes and repairs parts for the oil rigs). It's been quite a change of pace from the call center I worked at back for the majority of my posts. I'm training for Parkour now (I won't spoil what it is, check out a video or two online wherever you look up video's if you don't know what it is :p). I live in Alberta now instead of PEI, which is kinda nice because now I get paid twice what I could hope of making in PEI, but it's definately a change of pace. Meh, anyways, life is still going pretty good :D

Hey, since I've been posting on the boards randomly, I guess I should briefly explain where the heck I go when I'm not around. Heh. ^^;

Well, as many of you chatroom folk already know, I work overnight shift at a local store, from Thursday to Monday, so during those days I am usually sleeping during the day for the 12 hours at work. My job isn't great, in fact most of the time it sucks, but I do have internet access there, so I could come online between customers. Maybe I will try to keep up better tabs with the boards ;) We are just in the middle of some renovations at work, once they get them finished maybe I will post up a few pics so you can see the mayhem I work in.

On my days off, I usually spend them sucked into some MMORPG (Maplestory, RPGN:Ragnarok) although, I haven't been as sucked in lately. I try to visit my family on my days off, and just generally get distracted so easily that I lose track of my goals and plans for RPGN. (Heh, nothing new to the regulars here... sorry!) I have so many plans in my head, things I'd like to do.. need to focus!

Overall life is good I guess. Been single for about a year now, that can free up some time too.. heh, :emlaugh: Most of the time I can be found on MSN (Check my status tag, its 90% accurate), and of course, the RPGN IRC chatroom.. always on there. (We would love to see some new faces to talk with < .<) Nothing really exciting going on in my life... so I guess I won't ramble on about my boringness anymore. Just thought I would say uh, i'm alive! And I am going to try to post more. So bring on the insanity! Mwhahahaaaa....

....other than the really stupid, idiotic traffic ticket i received yesterday [and it's stupid and idiotic because i was being totally oblivious], and that i'm gaining weight for some reason, life is not bad. settling into the new place, getting a lot of reading and movie watching done, and pushing right on through graduate school. could maybe use a little more scratch and ducats, but who couldn't?

i guess, all for all, i can't complain.

Life´s mellow... I made more vids at the yt site and feel pretty proud of them. Became sick a week ago though of a tooth. I will never forget that time! And I will definitly get some grub before going to the dentist like that... I was shocked as I sat there and hypervented. It got bad and I had to recover for a few days but it doesn´t end there. My food-rythm was corrupted as well! So now I had to learn to eat and when to eat. It was awful but it´s over... still need to go to the dentist 2nd of June... but that´s a different dentist.. a calm one... man the emergency ones just aren´t calm... they suck at what they do.. really! But I´m confident this is going to work. So that´s my story. But now it´s alright! =D I just have to be careful...

We were all gathered on an old place with two big houses owned by two groups of farmers for 300 years! So I now know a bit more of my past family in short... =) It was extremely hot weather but we somehow managed... I´m not that used to the sun... and now it´s freaking hot here! Last day it was 32 degrees Celsius! This day "only" 27... I hate warm summers with out wind and all... I also fear a storm is brewing up too... at least if it´s going to be THIS hot...

Life, life, life.. as much as I want to relax.. the more I can't. Getting my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow :P. I'm sure that will be oodles of fun, at least it's summer. I'm going to try and make the best of my time.

Eek. Wisdom teeth pulling. I've been there, its not the most fun you'll ever have, but you'll pull through it okay. I wish I could relax, but my work has decided I don't need any time off. I've got to go in for an extra day this week. Boo! Only one day off. I tried to cram as much housework/rpgnwork/sleep into my day off as I could, but it feels like it goes so fast.

....well, let's see. just got back from the courthouse and received a 215$ fine for being an idiot for 15 seconds. and to top that off, i haven't had anything to eat for 24 hours because i need to go in for a colonoscopy today.

most fun day ever....i win.:emlaugh:

....the colonoscopy was actually much easier and less painful than my trip to court. the sedatives worked wonderfully, i got over them quickly once awake, and i've felt fine since. plus, there were no problems. so i can't complain that much.

thanks for the sympathy, however. much appreciated.

Colonoscopy? That sounds like a crappy situation. I'm still recovering from my wisdom teeth x__x heh. It still kind of hurts, but I guess not eating heavily doesn't hurt. Bring on the stress of summer! Ugh.. so much to do and so little time.

The campaining starts so damn soon that I wouldn't be surprised if people wouldn't even want to vote anymore when the time for that comes. I'm sick and tired of running into Election '08 everywhere, I can only imagine what the coverage might be like over there, where it actually counts.

well, i have high blood pressure, and i'm trying to cut down on sodium, and the diet is incidentally making me lose weight... so i guess technically i'm trying...

anyway, i was at about 165 or 170 (lbs)... but i weighed myself today on a full stomach, and now i'm down to 160.

yay. =)

i don't know when i started, but i guess this'll help me keep keep track of it now.

i think all the craisins i ate might have helped. they're pretty high in fiber, and yesterday i took this postepic dump, so i'm thinking that might have helped me drop a couple pounds.

My life (because everyone should be interested(mainly because I'm awesome)) is good. Basically doing the things I love, I play music as a music major (trumpet), I exercise, I rock climb, snowboarding while there is still some snow, judo, tons of anime, sleep, eat, vidge-uh-games (a lot), and hang out.

The lame thing is, I need a job and CA has almost NOBODY hiring....and I live in a small town which makes it even worse. People lay people off, not too interested in hiring at the moment.

Oh and congrats on your weight loss silver, I would give you a high five...actually I am still going to, put your hand up to the screen and I'll hit it. ;)

Yeah, California was my home for a little bit, and if I can't get back into college here, I'll probably be headed back.

I lived in Chatsworth. Right around the corner from Cedric, actually. I don't remember it taking eight hours to get to San Francisco, though... but maybe I drove way too fast.

And I worked in Oxnard, which is a good bit closer. >.>

WalrusMongler
03-01-2009, 09:36 PM
Oh nice! Yeah 8 hours was more of an estimate, I've never personally made the drive myself. Whoa, the Nard. It's like a 30-40ish minute drive from my house to there. Always nice to find a fellow So Cal-ian (word?) on a random gamer site.

silverDistortioN

I'm only applying to the University of South Carolina. I went there for my freshman year and transferred to the local college to cut down on expenses, but my GPA took a nosedive living with my parents. >.>

So I'm depending on my good SC GPA and hopefully an essay (they don't have one on the electronic application, apparently) to get in.

I'm hoping to study mechanical engineering. My major used to be computer science, but I'm only interested for video game making purposes.

WalrusMongler
03-02-2009, 08:01 PM
USC!! but a different USC...

I'm sure if your GPA meets or surpasses the requirements combined with your essay (if it kicks a small amount of testicles) you'll be fine.

Mechanical Engineering...man...tough shit there. I sure hope you're good at physics, thermodynamics, energy and etc. But I'm sure you are.

You're majoring in hard stuff that's more then 2 syllables long. I'm majoring in...music... But at least I have a knack for it. I love math and science, learning about it is really cool. But I kind of...suck...at those subjects. But apparently you are good at them, so more power to ya!

I fear I may be succumbing to the dreaded disease known as casual gaming as well... :( Although there are still a few games coming out that I'm looking forward to, and I can still get lost in an engrossing gaming session every now and then. So I'm not entirely gone. :) But I've noticed my usual gaming has gone from around 10 hours a week to only about 5 now.

Word up, Mithrandir! Good to see old faces every now and then.

Charon
03-23-2009, 05:43 PM
I blame lack of engrossing and immersive games! If there's one thing I noticed from making that gaming history list it's that I used to spend HOURS on those games. I could sit and play through all those platforms and side scrollers for ages. Zool, Golden Axe, Wonderboy, James Pond, even Swiv and Xenon II. Whatever happened to good old games like that? There's so few games these days that can grab me like that. I think the last decent platformer I played was Crash Bandicoot 2. And I've not seen an RPG get me drooling for a while. It seems like only the Suikoden series was going anywhere and now they kinda sold out by making one for DS (Letting me down again Konami... MGS 3 was bad enough but now you're letting Suikoden's production values slide...). Games are declining in quality. :( Bring on the golden oldies. I remember once staying over my mate Chris's house for the entire weekend just to play Streets of Rage over and over and over. I remember playing Penny Racers til I got blisters on BOTH thumbs. I remember playing Unirally until I couldn't get the annoying music out of my head and I had customized every single uniracer and set the top score on every track in every mode!

Sigh...

*wanders off mumbling nostalgically*

It was the cheapest one they have plus (or minus, depending on how you look at it!) a $50 discount, so it was $199 plus whatever extra goodies I wanted. Which meant Bluetooth capability, a Bluetooth mouse, and a case. Total was $311. Not bad!

It comes with 512mb of RAM which I will replace with a 2gb module for $25. It also has an 8gn solid state hdd that I may or may not replace with a 32gb drive for about $80.

Most of you poor saps on irc already know, but heres the courtroom update!

- Went to jury selection. Turned out to be over 400 people there, very crowded.
- Waited almost 3 hours before we even got to leave the waiting room.
- Went in, judge explained that it was not a normal case. Could take over 3 months.
- They paraded in all the witnesses etc, asked if we knew anyone there, darn I didn't!
- Was asked to return today for round 2 of selection.

So to make it brief, I wasted 5 1/2 hours waiting to be asked to come back tomorrow :p Weeeeeee. :spin:

IMO, the work you put into...

1. life always pays off, but you have to expect its many curve balls. ;)

2. school might get you a better job in the long run, but for most of us, ultimately, a lot of what we learn in school isn't used.

3. friends can often be worthwhile, especially when you forge friendships that last the remainder of your lifetime. :celestial:

I wish school put as much effort into me as I did into school. Given the choice again I wouldn't have gone to university, or college. So, it was late Thursday night two weeks ago.

Dad knocks on my door. He said my brother had been fatally shot. (toastrdan, if anybody remembers the name.) I ride to the hospital in the back seat thinking the whole time that I'd have to identify a body.

But fortunately, he was still alive. His girlfriend (she's the one who called and told us) just has trouble with words, it seems.

We - Mom, Dad, and his girlfriend - go in, two at a time, to see him before he's taken by ambulance to a better hospital. I get in just before the adrenaline wears off and he starts vomiting blood.

Apparently what happened was Dan and two of his friends (Rob and John) went to visit their dealer for some pot, and there was a group of black kids already there, trying to break into Pot Guy's house. And when I say kids, I mean it literally; they were all about 16, I hear.

Dan saw one kid at the front door and said something to him. Something like "Looks like he's not home." I can't remember, but it doesn't really matter. The five guys come out of hiding, and, having seen Rob's Cadillac, demand some money.

By the way, he got the car from his father who passed away the year before.

Rob acts tough, Dan drops to the ground, and John just stands there in shock and disbelief. Dan gets hit once: through the upper arm and into his chest, somehow missing his heart by an inch, curving down, piercing his diaphragm, piercing his stomach, and piercing his upper intestine twice. Rob gets hit three times: through the kidney, through his intestines, and through his leg, shattering the femur.

John isn't hit at all. Not even after Dan and Rob lie there, and they hold a gun to his temple. They somehow missed, in part, I hear, because they were trying to be gangsta by holding their guns sideways.

So now Dan's all healed up. He wants a beer, but I don't want Dad to get all pissed off at him for drinking it.

Rob's still in the hospital. He's wearing a colostomy bag, and they say he won't be able to walk for another year. Dan and I are planning on visiting him within the next couple of days.

Right now, we're having some problems with insurance. The insurance company said today that Dan hasn't been eligible since 2007, which got Dad pretty upset, but that's impossible because he was still in high school at the time. Then there's Mom withdrawing his classes the day of, possibly disqualifying him; and the hospital, for some reason, saying the claim was denied when it wasn't even sent. Hopefully, it all smooths itself out, and we won't have to worry about resorting to lawsuit.

did the guys get caught?

silverDistortioN
04-09-2009, 09:32 PM
Nope, but word is they've positively identified a few of them. I don't think any arrests have been made.

However, the day of the shooting, noon already, there was a young man who was stopped by police in about the same area because he seemed suspicious. When asked if he was carrying any weapons, he said, "Yeah, right here."

And he pulled out a gun and shot himself in the head.

The paper said he was 20 years old and had no criminal history, but the pistol in his possession was unregistered. Hm, and a cursory search puts his place of residence in the same neighborhood as the shooting.

But there's currently no evidence connecting him to the crime. Police are still investigating.

My life seems to boring compared to most of you! :spin:

Well, I got out of jury duty because of another case I am involved in. Then I went to the other case on thursday and I got out of that too. So hooray, no more court visits!

I got some free furniture and stuff from my mom, so this week my goal is to rip apart and rearrange my room. Maybe i'll even take some before/after pics, if I am not lazy. :)

Life is good right now, in fact it hasn't been bad since a long time. :p
Noticeable events in the Pezito department since I faded away...

- Quit my job as a graphist for 2D/3D video games (not that I wanted to).
- Moved to the South of France to live with miss G (thus the job-quit).
- Found another job a few months later : graphist for 2D/3D video games. :)
- My brother's wife got pregnant ; I should be an uncle around October...

The weather here is great (sun sunny sun sun), the job is better than I thought, miss G is as lovely as 5 years ago, my parents' money problems seem gone, and nobody got shot. I wish your brother hadn't either, Silver ! :realmad:

It's a small studio working for bigger editors, named BiP Media (or BiP Games). Knowing that my previous job was at Visual Impact Productions, a.k.a. VIP... What will be next ? ZIP ? TIP ? LIP ? xD

OMG... A friend and coworker texted me today (I'm in vacation until sunday) to inform me that she's just been fired ; well, she still has one month with us as a game designer, and then adios... Same thing for another girl (project manager), who doesn't even know about her firing yet - she'll learn about it tomorrow ! Two or three other guys may get the same treatment too, not sure yet... As for me, chances are I'll stay but who knows ? If they keep firing the best people in the team, I could end up leaving too because I don't want to work there anymore. :(

For now it's ok, I can bear with it ; but these people are fine and the first person to be fired should be the boss himself !!! (>_<)

Can't believe what happened in just one month... The girl I mentioned on top of this page, being a game designer and coworker, has been fired (in relatively correct conditions) ; in the meantime our project manager has been fired too (in scandalous conditions, being totally innocent of what she's been accused of).

Then the boss planned on keeping a graphist (girl) and firing another (guy), but the girl actually didn't want to stay so they told the guy he could stay after all ! (o_o) Of course, feeling insulted by the method (and wanting to leave anyway), he refused and will leave after summer.

In the coding department, one guy is to leave us after July (and doesn't want to stay either), another has been kept in extremis but is most likely to be fired in September.

Let's sum up the studio's evolution...

2009 Q1 : ☻☻♂♂♂♂♂♂♀♀♀♀
2009 Q3 : ☻☻♂♂♂♀

(☻ = boss)

Now I'm fed up with this bullshit management ! The bosses keep all important information to themselves (and the marketing guy), they tell lies about various coworkers as they see fit (i.e. in order to justify someone's firing), they're unable to stick to a schedule and a game design... And the office is far from my home, which is hard enough to cope with. So that's it, I'm leaving as soon as possible ! Let's hope I can find a job closer to my town. xD

Hiya guys! I didnīt forget this site... I guess Iīve changed a bit and isnīt a forum type of dude anymore... maybe.

Anyways, lifeīs pretty decent. Lately Iīve been gaming alot of the Trickster game but then had to stop playing it. First it got too repeatative (I think it spells like that), secondly when I was about to make my final beginner video, I learned that switching from Windows XP to Windows 7 32 bit wasnīt the best idea. So I havenīt quitted it but laid my guys there on ice for the time being and went on with what I could game. The games I COULD play was Cabal Online and LaTale and so Iīve been around there. Iīve also been gaming world of warcraft while being away from here and for the moment quitted it since of itīs obvious dark side (maybe I picked the wrong server... who knows...)

So itīs been really busy in my life as it stands now. Oh, Iīve been doing a few other types of videos as well... like me and my brothers gaming Left 4 Dead. I called it "Sweded Gaming" heh. Thinking of doing the same with Borderlands... because you really donīt know what they are always thinking... and then we have me who likes to wreck cars in the game and place them where they... hrm... shouldnīt be! (I managed to "park" mine at a roof once)

So in other words, itīs had itīs ups and downs... but as it is now itīs pretty decent as said in the beginning. Mostly because itīs soon time for a nice cup of coffee... =)

Iīll be around a bit more... but sometimes I forget what to type so it isnīt easy all the time. Iīm still around though...X)

Interesting Topic!

(I'm a 21 year old guy from the Netherlands. I've been following this community like 5-10 years, when I started making my own RPG.)

So how's life?
Reasonable atm. My girlfriend broke up with me a month ago during Christmas (my first 'long' relation, only half a year though) which is fucked up. However, I'm still proud of my achievements of staying on course with my bachelor study... which I'm planning on finishing this year and continieng with my masters' (industrial engineering and management). Furthermore I consider myself having a lot of lasting friendships with some friends - this has only improved since break up. So yeah, its decent with some fucked up feelings once in a while.

On the weigth loss topic: Americans have 'bad' food places on almost every corner, plus you guys do EVERYTHING and i mean EVERYTHING by car. Don't blame urself, blame culture. Really.
(Here I have to fucking take the bicycle (or train which is ok) everywhere and in my household we cook most of the days). Hell, we dont even have donut stores.

Hey everybody, I'm still kicking. Moved out to western canada to work, still play lots of video games. Work is interesting, I work in a thermal spray shop that repairs parts for the oil rigs (and all kinds of place). Pretty interesting stuff, if you're curious check a video or two out on youtube.

Done some foolish things too, if you want a good laugh check out Jakes pocketbike crash on youtube, that one left a mark. Besides that, life is going pretty well. Living with the girlfriend, thinking on moving to Ottawa in the summer sometime, then who knows from there.

Kinda cool I still have the most posts here, and it's been probly years since I last visited, though you're gettin close Kilu. Anywho, just figured I'd pop in and say hello to everybody. I'll try to remember to visit on occasion other Locke, I'd hate to see this place completely die out, there's been lots of crazy talks here over the years.

I just bought my first ever Dollfie Dream!!!

I'm so F*ing excited!

I was going to buy their image character Yukino, it's their cheapest one($418+$46 shipping) and it comes very basic; body,head,face-up,eyes,wig,and
night gown. However alot of people who buy DD buy the image characters
and I wanted something more unique and completely to my tastes! Well I got an artists and seamstress to make me a custom one(face-up,wig,intricate costume) for $500!

Hey guys!

Been a long time since I played here.

Life's been...Interesting. I got caught up in a round of layoffs at my old job (At a factory) November 10, 2008. I'm still looking for work. Being out of work and spending so much of my time in front of the damn computer killed my health causing me to end up packing on almost 50 pounds, not to mention the damage I've done to my savings. Also, I lost my girlfriend of 2 years due to her inability to keep hope alive.

BUT!

Recently I moved halfway across CONUS to crash with my sister and her fiance and I rediscovered a bunch of things I had let lie dormant in my life:

I'm now enrolled in college(Which I thought would never happen!) I got my GED and went straight to work a looong time ago. This is looking to be a major contributor to my future.
I've found a whole new city, (Which is AWESOME because I'd grown so accustomed to how stagnant and intellectually bankrupt my old stomping grounds were that I'd given up on living somewhere enjoyable ever again.)
I've gotten my dietary situation worked out(no more poisonous pseudofoods!), so my weight is coming down AND I found a sporting good store going out of business and snared a bigass home gym for peanuts. Rock!
While I'm not working yet, The unemployment situation isn't as bad here as where I was (more than two full percentage points difference) and being a student opens up new venues, like workstudy.
So all things considered, life's not great yet, but damn it feels good to be improving again.

I'm going back to school again. Hoping to get my GPA up for engineering, but I figure I might take some art classes while the tuition is cheap.

Also, I sat on my thumb drive that had my mIRC and stuff on it. I guess I could download it again, but I think I'll just wait until my aunt gets back from the Philippines and copy my backup from the computer in her office.
