Here's an update! :D

Work closed early because only 5 staff signed up to work until 9 so we closed at 8 :D

I know it's not much but it's just what I needed :)

Life's pretty good.
The graduation was much too long though http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/eyepopping.gif
They told us it would go from 8:00 until about 10:00... it wasn't over until 11:30 or so http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/eyepopping.gif
Now I'm officially done of school :p

Haha ! Today I started playing Monster Hunter on my dear lovely cutey silverish PStwo. \(^_^)/ In fact I bought both the game and the console about 1 month ago, but lacked the necessary time to play with them for good (I did try a couple old PSone games with texture filtering, though :p )...

So today I played the real thing, and I definitely love Monster Hunter. This game looks gorgeous ! :shades: Awesome landscapes and creatures design, interesting gameplay (although I'm not fond of the way they assigned commands to the controller)... And I haven't even tried the online mode yet ! (Need to improve my character before that - oh, and to get a 15-meters LAN wire so that my PStwo can access the net. XD )

Now I think I'm gonna play The Wind Waker some more ; or maybe I'll watch a movie.
Life's great, it's suuummmmmmeeerrr !!! :D

PS : Did 7 mistakes on 40 questions at the code lesson today. Better ! ^^

Life was good until James stood me up! :realmad:

He keeps complaining how I'm always too busy to see him but when he's free and offers to visit he doesn't show up and now he's gone out to some party! :amazed:

He'd better have a damn good excuse or there will be pain... :realmad:
There may be pain even if he does have a good excuse just for not telling me :)

Yeah, kick the crap out of him! "Make his knuckles bleed". I think that's from the third Karate Kid.

Anyway, life is up and down. My friend's father died on Thursday to cancer, just two months before my friend is set to get married. My roommate found out yesterday that he failed his qualifying exam and has to retake it (failing it again means he's dismissed from his department). I'm building my resolve to do something about something in particular. And I went to the symphony for the first time. Phew...

Well, let's see:

Yesterday, funeral for a friend of my brothers. He was 24. Not fun there at all.

Toda, got up at 6:30am to go golfing. Rained to the point on the first hole where we decided to get rain checks and go to breakfast. What happened when we left breakfast? Bright, sunny skies, of course!!!!

Decent. Guildwars still eats hours up but not nearly as often anymore. I swear. Got a temp job for summer in a factory. Now fully proficient in cutting lumber and using air nailer. 3 30 to 2 am mon - thurs so I'm pretty messed up on sleep schedule. I tend to go to bed around 5 and get up at noon.

Uh...my great aunt died last night...didn't really know her though. :wonder:
Although last time she visited she was laughing so much she wet herself O.o

Anyway! James visited yesterday and I began the process of ignoring and being subtly rude to him until I got a reaction.

Then I found out he completely forgot about our arrangement and played computer games at home all day :realmad:

So I avoided each and every one of his attempted apology kisses by wriggling out of his grasp each time (it pays to be small) :D
Although once I had to bash his hand against some good solid furniture, it was worth it.

Then my mum wanted us to go walk the dogs. So we did and halfway round there's 2 paths, one for the long way and one for the short. He wanted the short way I wanted the long. I figured he owed me for not showing up before so I chose to go the long way. :D

Then he stood in front of me and tried to move me back the short way. Now please note, he's a judo black belt. I'm a wuss with teeth and nails. So as I hadn't the strength to push back without assistance I bit his arm until he let go :D

Then he wandered off in a huff and I went the long way and found him waiting at the end of the walk :p

A lot of boyfriends wouldn't put up with something like that so I figure he needs me :p

Wow I'm tired. Ah well, at least it's Canada Day on friday, and I have it off of work. My plan is to wake up and start drinking the moment I awaken. This should prove to be an excellant canada day. Drunken mayhem, my buddy being one of the carnies running the rides, and fireworks. Man I can't wait, Canada Day is definently gonna rock this year.

last saturday i had a bad err i dunno...nausea?I kept throwing up until it got to my stomach acid and diareah.I became dehydrated. Now thats fixed tho I had something like that on Christmas morning once. It really sucked. I was running to the bathroom every 10 minutes, in between opening gifts. I basically stayed in bed the rest of the day and didn't really enjoy the day. Of course, this was when I was about 12 years old.

But I'm happy you're feeling better! And I hope your arm mends!

I'm just glad that I don't get sick much anymore. Just the passing cold or something.

The unseen drama Paper...I get an extract of a play and say how I'd act it basically. Then there's another part where I answer a long question about a theatre practitioner called Brecht.

Life's pretty good right now.
The vacation's going great so far.
While we missed celebrations for Canada Day due to travelling, we're at Niagara Falls, and just got in from watching fireworks for the Forth of July on the American side of the border. :D The fireworks were amazing... we could see about 10 - 15 different places where fireworks were going off.
The final set of fireworks we saw were very close, and were spectacular. I just wish I had a camera so I could have taken pictures of them. :p

Locke
07-05-2005, 08:24 AM
Too bad Lance, you missed the best fireworks in Canada going on in little old PEI. :D I won't go over them again, check the Island Thread for my description. We also had some decent concerts through the festival of the lights too, we had 3 Doors Down, Staind, Lifehouse, Finger Eleven, and Matt Mays, amoung a bunch of other crappier people (I.E. Kalan Porter, who IMO should be shot.)

My Jimmy is still down, I'm hoping that I'll have it up and running again by the end of today. If not, then that just means I get to bike to work again. Which is fine, except for the huge hill just before I get to work  . Meh, money is money, I won't complain about that.

Life goes swell, I'm doing good, besides that I can't complain (If you want to consider that complaining.

Oh, on a side note, if any of you are American and have Covad as your internet service provider and you call in for Tech Support and get Jake, you're talking to me :D

Life is strange, there's a good/bad balance thing going on.

Yesterday was the good, I went to London on a final school trip to see Twelfth Night, which was really well done. Left London about 11:00pm.

Then this morning switched on tv and all the channels the news was on (and still is) talking about a number of bombs set off in London around the same area as we were to attack civilians as a terrorist attack. Some members of my family are currently in London and we've checked the bombs weren't located nearby but we haven't been able to speak to them or have any form of contact yet. :wonder:

And to make things a little worse I had to bury my sister's hamster this morning which was fairly gross, it looked all soft but it certainly wasn't when I picked it up! *shudder* I am not cut out to be an embalmer. So that's in a mini box coffin ready for her to collect.

Other than that I think life's good still, except I have to go to work soon. :p

EDIT:

I just missed my bus to work. Bollocks. Memo to me: Learn to drive sooner.
Don't know what to tell my boss, I've already missed a day this week due to an alarm not going off (although they think I had an upset stomach) and I keep changing my hours to account for the buses. I can't remember which hours I work tomorrow. :(

I'm gonna get told off but the bus was early!! :bawl:

I'm pretty far away in a little village but my dad works in London most weeks. He was there today but he works south of the river and the bombs were north of the Thames so he didn't really hear much about it.

He's supposed to go in tomorrow as well but it's unlikely he will. :wonder:

I haven't seen this much news coverage on one topic since Princess Diana's death so I guess it's pretty serious. O.o

An update from earlier:

I got yelled at a bit but not much. Haven't heard from work even though I didn't call them so I'm hoping when I go in tomorrow they didn't notice.

Got away with the skipping work thing, my boss didn't notice and then I got upgraded on the job I was doing. ;)

Here's one of my opening speeches:

Hello my name's Tracy I'm calling from Facts International research agency. We are currently conducting a survey amongst cereal growers about the agrochemicals they use. We're looking to speak to the person on the farm who either has the spray records or decision making responsibility for the selection of agrochemicals and agronomy, if they're available. Is that yourself? Well it's about an 8 to 10 minute survey but we are offering a £5 incentive if you complete the survey. So could you spare any time? :)

i have destroyed the paint work on my brand new racket, which i payed for ealier in the day.

Apart from all that, i won my tennis match 2-1 in games lol, and i am at the moment browsing EBAY, because i am getting some equipment for some football nets (not the posts just the nets), which i plan to buy soon for around 120pounds.

I had to have blood tests once a month for 8years, i had arthritis you see and they needed to make sure the medication was working ok, im glad i dont need any now because i get bored having to go to the doctors early in the morning.
also, i have had many operations (minor) on my knees to drain fluid, i sometimes had it when i was put asleep by anastetic, and sometimes awake using good old gas.

just to note to you guys, ive had 10pints of blood (minimum) drained from mehttp://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/bigeyes.gif

also, tonight i went to a wedding reception, we (8of us us) got very drunk and Franny's Niece got too drunk so we had to keep an eye on her because she was only 14yrs old and boys sometimes like younger girlshttp://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/bigeyes.gif

she began kissing this 18+yr old guy, and so the trouble began in the rough area of my town, me(Pete), Don, and Franny(Francis) got up and smacked the guy who was kissing Faye (the ass was taking advantage of a 14yr old girl), punches were thrown back at us and connected, but at he end of the night it was them who had to flee, i am 18, and Don & Franny are 30+, and these fools who tried fighting were about 21yrs old.

i am home now (obviously cos im at my PC), and we will speak tomorrow about the night before (speak with Don & Franny i mean), and im gonna speak to Faye and see how she is, she is a very good looking girl, but she is too young to be mixing with dodgy people, and i dont like to see arses taking advantage,

i also get the feeling she isnt a Virgin, i feel this because the way she acts around guys, im affraid i hate to see a 14yr old acting like a s**t, its way too young, give her 2-3yrs and she will be pregnant if she carries on, i hope i can knock some sense in her tomorrow, wish me luck people,

well thats how my (or others lives really for that mater) life is tonight.

(sorry for any bad feeling/language about me occured to you guys, im just drunk......a little)

Just found out I'm expected to go to meet some Japanese embassy guy or something tonight with a load of other such business types...it sounds thoroughly boring. :(

Wasting 5 hours of my day with people I don't want to meet let alone spend the evening with. I don't even know what this gathering is in aid of but unless I get some form of free gift I'm not gonna be happy and may well steal some of the buffet.

But to make things worse...I'm dressed for a cocktail party. I don't do that sort of thing! I want my typical black trousers, old, simple top and comfortable trainers back!!

But hey, it could turn out to be great fun...! Well I'm going to try and have a good time, just hope there are some people there who weren't around in prehistoric times.

EDDDIIIIIT!!!!!

Thought I'd put this update in an edit to avoid double posting. :p

Well the party was dull and a lot of people were just chatting away in Japanese. My dad's friend bought his daughter along so we chatted for a while, she's pretty nice but she was dragged into it too and didn't really want to be there. :p

On the plus side, the toilets were really posh, they had marble floors and wood panelled and fabric covered walls. :D
Even the paper hand towels had been laid out in a decorative pattern.
Those were some nice toilets.

It was fun being treated like a lady of leisure for once though. :p
The event was in a hotel and a pretty nice one at that, in Mayfair (the posh place in the game Monopoly ;) ). Although I get the feeling my dress was a bit short for some of the posh people who gave me some funny looks. So I donned my best posh accent and posture and smirked at them. It was worth it.

This is turning out to be a pretty long post...

But that's pretty much it, except now I'm walking a bit like a duck because my feet hurt from wearing high heels and standing and walking all evening. So I'll just go stagger to bed.

Well, life for has been rather excellant. I got paid on friday, paid off everyone that I owe money too except for lance, which I'll get done tonight when I head east back to the old homestead.

Had a buddy of mine who had injured his neck at work a few days before finally ended up going to the hospital for it on saturday night. They gave him a shot of morphine. :biglaugh: The entire night just got funny as it could be after that (this friend of mine is not someone who does drugs of any sort, seeing him tripping out on morphine was hilarious.)

On a side note, now that I've gotten my barbeque working I've been having steak every day. I wonder how long I can continue to afford steak every day.

I passed out for about 5 minutes after my last post on this thread, and have again once more earlier on in the shift today.) Meh, no worries, I'm half awake now and have only 6 more hours of upskill training at work. Man steaks gonna taste good once I get home from work.

Heyy, kayaking is great ! I did some when I was in school, something like 8 years ago, and I really enjoyed it ! The funniest part was when we went to the Gorges de l'Ardèche : the german teams had nets with beer bottles tied up to the rear of their boats while they were rafting, just to keep them cool

Hehe, yup, did some kayaking once too and liked it a lot !
Same thing for speleology (caving), did it only once but I loved it.

Otherwise, I've just killed my very first wyvern in Monster Hunter (PS2) - twice ! :D After so much pain leveling and getting the appropriate equipment and backup items, my combat skills improved and I finally completed the mission. This game is so cool ! (^_^) And I only play the offline missions for now... Online it should be even better. :spin:

Kayaking is always fun... when you're jousting with the paddles, and doing eskimo rolls in a glacier fed lake. I find hypothermia just tends to put a damper on the fun of spinning around. You get a hell of a headache doing it too.

James visited today! :D

I have never been so glad to see him. :(

Turns out he was on the train where the bomber was shot. The police had their guns out and he made a run to get on the train as it was leaving but he tripped and that's when they dragged him off and stopped him.

They shot him in both legs and hands as he seemed to keep reaching for his pocket for something then as he was still reaching they shot him to kill him. Turns out he didn't have a bomb but I think he was a strong suspect.

After he'd been shot the police just shouted for everyone to run and evacuate the station in case there was a bomb on a timer or something but the people didn't need any explanation they just ran for it.

Unfortunately James tripped in the stampede up the stairs and he's been trampled on pretty bad, nothing broken but a lot of bruising until someone dragged him up the stairs with them. His laptop also got shattered but that doesn't bother me so much.

Then at the station exit there was a barrier of policemen telling people to stay where they were in case there was a bomber trying to escape but the crowd just swamped straight into them and clambered over them to get out.

Then he jumped on a bus (which I pretty much disapproved of), although he thinks the attacks are only targeted at double decker buses (a symbol of London) rather than more modern buses. He didn't know where he was going but he didn't care either.

And the only reason he was on the underground was to get to the main station and come and visit. :(

He's going back tomorrow evening then I'll see him next weekend and that's pretty much it for the next 8 weeks. :(

Sorry to put a downer on things and maybe this doesn't belong in the how's life thread but I'm worried. :(

I went to beach today, a beach in 50km/h + winds. A buddy of mine had a windsurfing kite, he was using that to get himself dragged all over the beach, that and get it to lift him up a couple feet off the ground. Once we got that put away we then headed out onto the waves for some body surfing on 6 foot waves. It was awesome. Plus the water was 19 degrees C (68 or so F, for those who use those measurements.) All in all it was a fun day on the beach, though I did get a minor sunburn. Life is going decently, minus having no money due to having a roommate with no job and another one in transition between jobs right now. I heard the most hilarious thing the other night. I was sitting out on my deck having a smoke and heard from some guy visiting people at an appartment accross the street yell "Denise, What are you doing beside that motercycle?" (Denise, apparently, is the name of a girl who was at my neighbors deck talking to some other random person who was chatting it up with my neighbors sitting on their deck), Denise then yelled "I'm not beside a motercycle", and then stood up. The random dude accross the street then yelled out "Carl, I thought you were a motercycle" http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/biglaugh.gif . I couldn't stop laughing.

Recently we got another gamecube at my house, so we've been having soul caliber 2 tournements pretty much 24/7. Not to worry, I'd head to Radio Shack, they have every cord or gadget you could ever need. That was a big no go, along with every other electronics/gaming store I stopped at over the course of two hours. So now I have a pile of games to play, but the console won't work right!

If it rains tomorrow morning, I might get downright angry! Two days without running would be BAD!!!!

I went to my friend's party the other day which pretty much rocked. :D
I LOVE fancy dress parties! Even if no one elses dresses up I will! :D
Anyhoo, this one was Grease themed so it was pretty cool and James came along to do the music with his big speakers and all that other stuff he uses. :p

The party was in her garden which was nice because it was pretty warm and there were markee- marque-...big tent things too.

An old friend of mine was there who I haven't seen in about 2 years...when she was a polite sober, innocent girl...but at the party she bought her own supply of vodka which she carried around with her and started screaming, "Where's the fucking SPLIFFS?!". So I told her I'd hidden some in the garden and that kept her occupied for quite some time. :p

Then she had 2 glasses from each of the punch bowls...her bottle of vodka...a few beers etc. then held out her hand and asked if it was shaking (which it was).

Then she was like, "Oh ok, well I'm diabetic, could you prick my finger and test my blood? I can't see it." And I was like :amazed:, so anyway I tested it and it should have been 4-7...it was 11.4 so pretty high.

So we gave her loads of water and she tried falling asleep on the lawn so we propped her up in the bathroom and looked after her until her mum came to collect her. But she's fine now, if a little hungover. ;)

Other than that, my friend's 14 year old sister got drunk and ended up running off with a 30 year old guy to the horse paddock. Ulp. So we told her mum and they went running after her and found her alone but they were yelling etc.

Then as someone came up the long driveway to the house they warned us there was a body lying in the road. Which we drove down to see and it was the guy who had run away and had sort of collapsed into a shrub.

So it was a fairly eventful party but very enjoyable. :D

Locke
08-03-2005, 07:11 AM
Wow yuffie, sounds like quite the party. I would say that the whole diabetic thing would've been a bit of a pain in the ass, but meh, you gotta take it as it comes. Personally, I got away from people who get really loud when they're drunk (although usually with some spliff's you get a bit mellower :wonder: ) due to it being alot easier on my head.

Life is good, got my laundry done and found a bunch of old pics from adventures me and kai had last summer wandering around town and a bunch of pics from bonfires I had. Including Kyari saying that he was a boat with some actions. Now that is a good picture.

So yeah, that's about it for me and my life for now.

And to flip back to the negative side of things again, my propane tank ran out of propane while I was in the middle of bbq'ing a steak :realmad: .Err... So, you make your barbecues with propane ? (°___°);;; How about, you know, simple things like... coal ? ^^ I know there are different types of barbecues - liquid fuel, electricity... But coal really works well, you know ? It's more fun and tastes better (not to mention that it lets you use something else than oil) ! :p

How's life ? Well ! At last, my brother's wedding is done... Yay. :D

His girlfriend being Ukrainian didn't make things simpler, for sure ! First they had LOTS of problems with administration and bureaucracy - both in France and Ukraine - which made it a real pain to just get them married on a civil plan. Not to mention the "orange revolution" that took place in Ukraine, JUST when we were visiting them and getting the civil wedding thingie done ! Then, things calmed down for a while... Until the end of July, when the religious wedding (in France) was to take place. Guess what ? A freakin' STORM happened, not in the whole country but just in that specific region where the party was planned ! No electricity for 24 hours or so, lots of trees brought down everywhere (and mostly on roads, of course)... Fortunately they got most problems fixed up on the day of the wedding. So we went to the one ukrainian church in Paris (for a nice ceremony we didn't understand at all XD ), then headed up to the (not-so-)devastated region of Burgundy for the party, and fortunately all went fine and now, THEY'RE MARRIED ! :D On a civil, religious, astrological, anything-ish plan. It's done. No storms, no revolutions. (°_°)

Anyway, it was cool. (^_^)

kai
08-04-2005, 07:03 AM

Yay for road trips!

I'm leaving work Thursday to go to a friend's wedding. I'm the best man, so I kinda have to be there.

Wednesday probably won't be a good day, though. Neither will the time after the wedding. *Sigh*

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I just won a bet with Kai that he couldn't stop smoking. 5 free packs of smokes to me for winning that little bet :D. Don't worry Kai, I'll still take you down to Cora's and get you a meal there. Life is going splendidly. Plus only 4 more sleeps till it's time for the road trip.

meh . . . no big loss really. I will quit eventually but not cold turkey. It might have been easier if I was isolated but alas I live with a "few" other people and one or two sometimes create a stressful enviroment and without a smoke here and there I can get somewhat .. . umm . . . agrivated. Not to mention the whole social aspect and of course 33.3% .
Party this weekend :D that should be fun. Still in training at work, kind of boring but simple.

Returned to Romeo-and-Juliet-France-Trip rehearsals today now everyone's back off their holidays. I'm playing Mercutio so we killed off my character today. :(

Luckily I'll still be in the crowd/angry mob type scenes. ;)

Getting excited about it, everyone involved's really hyper. :D

Quitting cigarettes was the easiest thing I ever did, once I set my mind to it. Been close to four years now. Although a proscription of Zyban didn't hurt either. Took all the mental want for a cigarette right away. If you want to quit, check it out.

Zyband??? All I need is beer. Everytime I want a smoke I'll have a beer. It worked last time I quit (until I started work and began smoking again). Now that I work I'll have money again and can aford beer . . . . though smokes would be cheaper.

meh, Joey gave me the idea to get nancy to buy a carton at the reserves so no big deal. That and the fact that seeing as how I get kind of "frustrated" at people when I don't smoke (and apparently get "cranky") it might not be such a good idea if I drank a lot.

Work was cancelled Friday night so I went to London earlier. :D

Had a good weekend, although didn't sleep too well the first night. Half the students were leaving the next morning so they all came back to the halls singing and screaming. -_-

Went to the London Dungeons. :D
It's changed a lot since I was last there, probably 10+ years ago, they use a lot more real actors now which makes it much better. :p

Didn't do a great deal else other than go out shopping with James. We didn't go to the British Museum, but that was because my legs were killing me from shopping. :emlaugh:

Although I did buy some games when I went shopping...which is bad considering I was looking for hairbands and a padlock.
I came away with a Tomb Raider game for GBA, Simcity 2000 for GBA (they were on a buy 2 offer...) and James gave me a present when I arrived (DS game Animaniacs :p).

So when I go to bed I'll test those out. :D

Other than all that I just enjoyed spending time with James, I miss him. :(
When I arrived it was dark so we went and stood on the bridge over the Thames for a while to see the lights around London on all the important buildings. I could see the Royal National Theatre from there as well, it lights up in all different colours which is very nifty. :D
That's where James works at the moment which is cool but still not fair! :p

I'm off to France in about 2 weeks to do a mini Romeo and Juliet version then when I come back off that I'm going camping with some friends and James in Cornwall. I can't wait!! :D

I get my A-level results this Thursday, so I'll most likely post the results here unless they're REALLY bad. :p
Although I'm going to work first so don't panic if they're not around straight away. ;)

I believe I've rambled on long enough for now. :D

Wow I'm sore right now. Not only did I have such a weekend that I don't remember the bulk of it, I was conned into going to play dodgeball at the university across the street from where I live. I hurt all over and can barely walk, but wow was that ever fun. A blast, even. :D.

As a word of advice for any of you who are as energetic as me (ie move fast and jump alot when playing dodgeball) who decide to jump back into something that you haven't played in a year and a half and go for the full 2 hour game, make sure you're not planning on doing anything too productive the next day, you will hurt.

Past that, life is going pretty good. My tattoo's are healed, I got to see some people on the weekend that I haven't hung out with in months and months, I made it down to the exhibition last night (it was rather boring, actually), apparently I'm supposed to go down tonight with Blade and Lance :wonder:.

All in all I'd say that life is going pretty darned good. :D

I just got back from a long weekend away to be in a friend's wedding. I was his best man. I was worried that my planned bachelor party or my planned speech/toast wouldn't go over well, but both went extremely well! The whole weekend was a lot of fun, and I got to see many of my friends again. And meet some cool people.

So congratulations to them!

Now it's back to work to my failing experiments. Gotta see if I can fix them. And it's a bit lonely in here now that my friend has officially left the lab to start nursing school. Oh well, she'll be around often enough.

Where's that one at Kai? Kudo's for actually working on getting one or two of em looked at

Life goes well for me, Blade and Lance swung by this morning (I'll tell you all, one of the creepiest things ever to wake up to is Blade sitting on the couch beside the one your sleeping on and saying over and over "If you don't wake up in 5 minutes we're going to wake you up".) Take my word for it, it's one hell of a way to wake up.

Life is grand, I'm nearly set to move over to a new place (which, excellantly, is next door to the house I live in now :D), all my friends are doing well, I'm healing slowly from that damnable game of dodgeball, and I've now got Lance having taken in a bunch of computer software from home to install on my computer here in town. Is it like waking up to find some random guy asleep on the couch?
When I woke him up, this was our conversation:

*Pokes guy with length of dowel*
GUY: "This isn't my house"
Astro: "Keenly observed, that's a point for Sherlock."
GUY: "My place has a gas fireplace dosen't it?"
Astro: "Two things: How the hell would I know, and who the hell are you?"
*Ignore's question*
GUY: "Aren't you that guy on T.V. that talks to the dead?"
*Pause*
Astro: "No..."
GUY:"Then why'd you pause like that?"
Astro: "Because your question was so staggeringly moronic, my brain went out for a second. It isn't built to take that kind of stupidity."
GUY: "That's not a nice thing to say, maybe you should be more cheerful"
Astro: "Maybe you should shut up"
*Then... Completely from the left field of the land of random...*
GUY: "I'm a scorpio"
Astro: "No one asked, and no one cares"
GUY: "Yes you did, you asked me my sign"
Astro: "No, I asked you your name. Coincidentally, how much glue have you been huffing?"
GUY: "Ummm."
*Long calculating pause*
GUY: "None that I remember"
Astro: "Fantastic... Get out of my house"
GUY: "One thing"
Astro: "*Sigh* what?"
GUY: "Do you know how much you tip a hooker?"
Astro: "Not off the top of my head"
GUY: "Well thanks anyway"
*Leaves*

Wow... can't say i've ever had any conversations like that with people... the best I've ever had was somebody asking me "after this is all over, are they gonna boil them llamas and eat them?" completely out of the blue.

Congrats Yuffie, well done :D Just make sure that you don't do what I did, pay 10 grand in student loans and then party too much and not go to class and get kicked out for a year. Mind you, I could go back now, I just don't want to spend the money unless I'm sure that I'm ready to commit to classes this time round.

Astro - Wow, that's excellant man. I've had those conversations with a few people, but I know alot of crazy people. And for some reason, people are always zoodled when they meet me for the first time. Never fails, they can't be sober. I recall one conversation I had in my living room at one point with a guy who went to the loony bin a day or two later which ran along the lines of him saying

Reed - Hey man, did you make it to woodstock 69?
Locke - No, I was not alive at that point.
Reed - I was in a past life man. It was good.
Locke - How was hendrix then?
Reed - He did wicked
Locke - Well that's nice then.
Reed - See these man
Locke - What? *very confused by this point*
Reed - These are tears of joy man
Locke - Oh
Reed - I'm so happy man
Locke - Why are you happy reed
Reed - Because I'm Jesus F**king Christ reborn man
Locke - Cool, I'm happy for ya
Reed - Tears of joy man
Locke - Cool man, I'm going out for a smoke.

And that ended that conversation, a day or two later he was off to the loony bin for a little while

I've never had a reptile as a pet before unless you count some slow-worms I found and kept for a while. :D

For some reason as soon as you said chameleon I thought of Huggy Bear's chameleon in the new Starsky and Hutch film... :wonder:

I guess they take a lot of maintenance being in different places and such. O.o

Locke
08-19-2005, 06:18 PM
I don't think they're that expensive, but it's just that they're short on cash right now, and don't want to deal with the hassle of them anymore I believe. I think it'd be cool to have them for sure. Locke
08-19-2005, 06:50 PM
Well, you see Lance, there's this little thing where an iguana and a chameleon are almost nothing alike except for them both being lizards. Food is different, care is different, cages are different. I didn't know Cathy and Chris had an iguana though. That's kinda cool.

(Strange accent) Goodday, I'm proffessor vuten von smartassalek, and I am here today to help you to recognise the lizards of the world, even though most of them aren't that diferrent, there are exceptions, such as today's pair up, the chameleon and the iguana.

Chameleon:

Iguana:
http://www.dinohunters.com/images/IGUANA.GIF

As you can see, the difference coulden't be plainer, The chameleon's tail curls aroud far more than the iguana's.

Thank you. and good night.

PS: I could mention the many other physical differences, but if you hadn't noticed, I'm seven shades of really lazy.

This may be a bit late, but... while at the exhibition, I saw something that terrified me - mini-Neil http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/eyepopping.gif... He was like a miniature version of Neil Laidlaw, and he was standing in line for the Gravitron... If you don't believe me, ask Blade...

No, seriously, I had that kid in one of my classes in high school back in the day. He would whistle in class, start singing in class, wore cowboy boots, never shut up, did nothing but try to suck up to teachers and read world war 2 books. I have never in my life seen a more annoying child.

I never really new neil but from what I did see/hear of him he was annoying but I found his sister worse. Short, red headed, very proud, and a femenist to boot.

Lance - Or that I was a sniper in the mafia as well :D Wow that was a stupid kid.

Ok then, your saying the he's ALMOST as annoying as Blaine Vernon-Jarvis and his sister is half as annoying as Blaine's, and twice as intellegent.

Life is all-right: my weight loss goals are quickly becoming more and more of a reality. Also, I 've discovered that girls like me again. I wonder if the two are associated?

I kinda forgot to talk about life... :emlaugh:

Anyway, I went to London this weekend again with James's family which was pretty cool, went to see a couple of shows and to the IMAX which is fairly hefty...but then you go to America and there's loads of stuff like that. :amazed:
But it's pretty smart for this piddly ickle country. ;)

Had a pretty cool time again and his mum says he'll be home a week early (this Sunday) because he doesn't need to work on the last show! :spin:

...Ok so I'll be in france but it'll give him time to prepare for my amazing arrival. :)

Silly goose-face! It's a turkey milkshake, garnished with cheddar cheese. And don't forget the salami and mustard relish!

Currently life isn't going too badly, I'm very very tired, but that's ok. I'm alive and kicking, and that's all that you really need.

At least I have a party to look forward to this weekend :D

Locke
08-23-2005, 10:03 AM
Oh yeah, party this weekend. Blade and Lance, you guys coming in?

Kai - I think I'm going to move the bulk of my stuff over next door either tonight or tomorrow night. I'm too paranoid that Joey is going to try and pack some of my stuff on me, and I don't really feel like having any more of my stuff stolen. That kinda irks me a bit, you know.

PISSED OFF

brother thinks he controls me, telling me to do this and that....saying im "lazy", hmmmm who is the 400pound beef cake bro, not me.

he comes home from University every week when there is no point, he does it on purpose to annoy, or maybe he does it to see his one friend....whats the points of wasting money.

im sick of him, wish he would piss off for a long, long time.

I often feel the same about my sister, only difference is I don't see her much now because she's always out wasting her money. :D

Went to go to work and was told to leave as soon as I went in because there was no work again. Shopped for about 4 hours.... :spin:

Then...

We practiced Romeo and Juliet in the churchyard today to prepare for the open air performance. Got a few odd looks. But an old couple stopped to watch for a while. :D

Ah, see, me, I'd be the oldest in my family. Something to remember is that no matter what sort of hell we put the younger siblings through, if something happens where you need our help (in something serious, not something frivilous), we'll be there for ya with our wisdom of the ages. Keep that in mind as you say you hate your older brother ;)

kai
08-24-2005, 07:18 AM
I am the younger of my sister and I, however am the middle gradchild, with two older and two younger and yet I remain the favourite even after last years exploits . . . . . but I won't get into that one.

Life is good, works goin well, I still can't find my wallet, and really the only downside about my life is where I live. . . . it's dirty from all the junk on the floor due to people moving and the kitchen well . . . . let's just say it is better to eat out.

Locke
08-24-2005, 08:05 AM
I concur Kai. It's definently shoddy as hell at our place right now. Although, I mostly blame Joey because he left most of his stuff in boxes in the middle of the kitchen. That and the fact that nobody did any dishes in the last 3 days I don't think :shame: Thank god I've gotten most of my stuff moved next door :D

kai
08-24-2005, 08:08 AM
What's strange is that neither of us have been their to cook anything so none of the dishes are ours. They are infact mostly Adam's, Josh's, and Joey's, so being they are there ALL DAY they should clean them up seeing as how they would have to suffer the sight of them far more than us.

No doubt there, playa. And we also go through all the crap first, so it's like cake for the younger ones. When I was in high school, my curfew was something like 11:00pm-12:00am. Four years later, when my sister is a senior, it was about to the point when she just had to call to let my mom know where she was. She could practically stay out all night. Man, did I fall hard on the shell for that one...

My brohter and sister had it super easy becasue of me, so they deserve a little ribbing from me every now and then.....http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Yeah, I did the same thing with my parents. Why, when I was the age of my youngest brother I'd get in trouble for playing anything with swearing or violence. Now my youngest brother Caleb... well let's just say he get's anything he want's and plays what he want's. Curfews.... I'm not even gonna get into it. Lance, you got off easy, I already got into all the arguments (sorta, with me it was more of "Ok, I'll be home at 11 or 12, don't worry about it", then stumble home at around 3 or 4 am and say I was having fun and lost track of time, they'd try to argue with me and I'd fall asleep :D).... Mind you, the amount of verbal sparring I've done with me mom and dad probly made them give me up as a lost cause...

Meh, all in all I agree with ya 100% bjp, we bore the brunt of the attack and now if we want to tease a little bit we can consider it divine right :D

Well today will be one hell of a day and it started out just so. Locke and I woke up about 30mins late this morning, his father was comin to pick us up to go to work and called as we woke up to say he'd be there is a couple minis, the mad dash that ensued would wake us bother up and we made it to work in time for locke.
Later today I get to go eat dinner with my family at which point I have to tell them I'm not going to Ontario for school until next year. .. . O_O
I really hope work is slow today but well with today going like this so far I think it's safe to say there will be major issues and we'll be swamped with calls.

Locke
08-25-2005, 07:30 AM
I think I can safely answer that one with... yes :p You know lance, that doesn't tell me whether they consider it me or my roommates who are bad influences :shame:

Have fun Yuffie *waves off in a general easterly direction  * Now then, time to try to catch up :D

Yeah, as Kai said, an absolutely insane rush for the door today. Rolled out of bed, saw that my alarm clock was reading 8:41 when I had to work at 9, phone ringing non-stop at my house, bolt for the phone while still getting dressed, answer the phone, tell my dad that me and Kai had been up and were just finishing getting ready, then going outside to get in the Jimmy with it pouring rain. :shame: That was a bad rush to work, but I made it to work with 4 minutes to spare :D

Life is going well, get paid at 7am tomorrow and I can't wait. :D Life is going well, I've got more of my stuff moved now, and I'll finish moving everything tonight or tomorrow night soon as I get off work :D

Big party happening at the homestead tomorrow night, should be interesting. I might go over to evolve on saturday around noon as well :D (for those of you who don't know what it is, evolve is a festival held in the maritimes where it's 3 days of live bands by day and raves by nights :D). I think that could be a hoot :D
