It's the technical rehearsal today and roughly 2 weeks until opening night! :D

Which is pretty bad considering we haven't had a full run through with no stops yet...and we're still recording the music...but my friend's pantomime is even more behind than ours, not good. :(

The technical rehearsal went ok except for the director. The woman is intolerable! She tells us to get on with it then goes off and does something else, misses what happens and gets us to do it again. Then she goes off and does something else again...it's a neverending painful cycle!!

I practiced my songs on the stage for the 1st time and didn't realise quite how difficult it is to sing while chained to a wall before now. It's difficult. It really hurts your arms after a while too. :(

But it must be done for my art.

He Jetblue, you should consider yourself lucky because it snows over there...I never saw snow, I want so much to go to the U.S. again on the winter just to see some snow...
When I went to Disney on winter it wasn't sunny...-_-'

My university applications have all been sent off so now the hard part of learning all the audition speeches. :p

One of the unis has prepared a list to choose from, the others just say they've to be under 2 minutes so I'll be reading my complete works of Shakespeare for the next few weeks.

But that's a good thing. :D

Why in the world you would want to go to US to see snow, when you can go to Sweden, Finland, Canada, Russia or whatever instead, with a lot more snow.

So I went to Thunder Bay.

01-14-2005, 10:16 PM
The other day the snow was glorious.
I woke up around 6:30 in the morning and noticed fog all over the forest. I walked my mom to the car because she was afraid of sliping on the ice and it was warm out. About 50 deg F and the warmth was causing the fog and there was loud thunder but no rain.
As soon as my mom left I took a walk in the forest. I went to my favorite tree climbed only up one branch and looked around. Every where was white. The snow on the ground and the thick fog with the thunder made it seem like another world. The smell was so fresh. I couldnt hear nothing. Not even the freeway. I was in awe. The human world no longer existed for a moment.

I stayed as long as it lasted. About 2 hours the sun got higher and the snow was melting real fast. By noon there was no more.

Snow hasn't settled here in years, it's kinda sad but I prefer the heat. It's easier to prance about like a loony in shorts than in 15 layers of thermal clothing. :p

It's nice where I live though, I'm in a little village so it's really peaceful and everyone worth knowing seems to know everyone else worth knowing like in a little RPG village.

By the way, pantomime dress rehearsal tomorrow! :D

What stops you from prancing about in -10?
I wear jeans and a tee-shirt. It's easy to prance in that...
...You will get beaten up, but you CAN do it.

I don't own any jeans, I really need to buy some more trousers.

One pair is currently completely held together by a safety pin. :wonder:

And I think one of my pantomime costumes is falling apart, the seams seem to be a bit rotten. Ulp.

life isn't too shabby
just livin a care free life at the moment, no real future in it but it's like a vacation from the world.
(i'm still a little . . . . . . we'll say frustrated that silver stole my thread. it was my only contribution to the forums that i could stop posting for months at a time and be forgotten yet my name would still thrive in "how's life" because well with a name like that . . . . . it can't really die till everyone who posts is six feet under . . . . . . cheesies that is)

Life is great, at the moment. I got a job, have to work 5-6 hours in the morning from monday-friday. My boss is my brother in law, so I can chill around and work freely, take breaks.. listen music with my mp3player. Its so great.
With the money I earn I can buy games or plattforms, snacks for DVD evenings or whatever I want. I got a flat, dont need to pay for it, since we got we got a lot of city space and more than one house. Additionaly I can eat downstairs at dad's. After having 2 relations between the last few years I got enough from girlfriends, at the moment. Well, that doesnt mean that I hate girls or something. I just feel that it would be the best to exist for the things I do, my webdesign (bonus source for money) and for games, anime/manga, painting, drawing and not to forget for music :D
It really is life.. if it would go so on and on till the day I die it would fullfill all my wishes :D ...at the moment ^_^

Say Yuffie - what are you going to study?

Life is so and so at the moment. I have started preparing my last exams, will be looking for a topic for my graduation paper soon, and am fighting the (hopefully) last bouts with my current episode of depression. At least I am feeling interested in a few things again - it was about time :D

Life is annoying as there is not enough time to do what you want (at the moment anyway), want to stay up late and surf the net etc but when you consider i have to go college in the morning it is not posible because if i did stay up i would suffer in college the next day.

p.s. your only young, Flashfirer, thought you would have been older seen as how you have posted a fare bit, didnt expect a youngster to be bothered doing it, good for you, sorry about the teeth but they will come back.

Life is... strange these days, I don't know where I am going, but I still gon on... On one hand, I am writing a very large essay this year to the university (it's called maitrise, if you care about it :D) about a subject I have chosen with a teacher. That is great but the chances to get a job after that are really thin... But at least, it would be a job I want to be, and a well-paid one too.
On the other hand, the job I have taken to pay my student room (I'm lending it) pays well, and my boss says I could definitely be definitely hired by the company. It's not what I want to do in life (I'm selling stuff by phoning to people), but it pays well, and I have time to do extra stuff after that...
So what should I do ? Decisions decisions... So, when those questions begin to be too hard to think about, I flee into my most precious things : writing, listening music, playing...
Well, sorry for the long, unintersting post but hey, I feel great among you guys, I wanted to share something... Sorry, I won't do it again ! :D

first-had a dream and i got shot in the knee.when i woke up,my knee was hurting like hell.

second-had dream that someone was putting a spear into my stomach and twisting it and woke up and it felt like churned

third-dream of being burnt in the fire, woke up and was real hot.

scary...

First day: We got a new guy in our laboratory. He seems strange and never talks. He's wearing strange bag, all the time... I really wonder whats inside...

Second day: A few of our people havent come to work lately.. I wonder whats up... probably ill...

Third day: Hmmm.. I'm the only one left. Everyone is ill.. even the boss. Its not the time for it.. but I wonder at all what this guy had in his bag...

Fourth day: My skin is burning like hell.. but I'm a workaholic.. aaaargh. I wonder whats going on...

Fifth day: I cant work.. I feel like... I'm mutating... Hey.. second. There's something in the locker... Lets check it out.. JESUS CHRISTS.. what the hell... its a porn magazine. How terrible...

*something/someone is touching his shoulder*

öhhhhhhh! *munch~, splish, splash*

---

Okay.. this joke besides. How's life... hmmm.. it changed. Got stress with my dad.. he's so strange since my damn stepmother is there. Like a marionette. He's doing what she wants. I tried nearly everything to wash his mind and bring his old self back. Without any success. Well.. seems that I have to move... the best way. I hate her! -_- I hope anything big is hitting her on a head. She's such a masochistic psycho... only because she's knowing that she gets older and also that she'll die sooner or later. Probably sooner... since she's consuming such a massive ammount of alcohol. Some people seem to exist, to torture other people's life's... *sigh*

February is a weird month for me. The high point is the 9th, which is my birthday. But the low point is just 5 days later, Valentine's Day. I've never celebrated it (except the obligatory Valentine's Day parties in elementary school), and being single prevents me from doing so. Eh, maybe I'm just bitter...

There have been many Artic explorers, famous for thier courage or endurance, but in one regard no one has ever equaled Samuel Bosford.
Of all the european explorers who have passed though this country he was, hands down, the stupidest.
A little known explorer, and for good reason, he came by here in 1834 hopeing to discover the heckwaters of the Thelon river, which would have been a neat trick since they had already been discovered 14 years earlier.
I have found a copy of the entire text of his journal and it's not very long.
I thought I would share it with you over the next while.

June 1st.
We set out amidst the fireing of rifles and cries of "haloo" from the sending off party planning to cover 30 miles the first day, but ran into problems with the 50 foot iron canoe sled.
It is desighned to move accross either water or land, but on land it takes a team of 40 dogs to move it, as well as all the natives pushing, so we only made 250 feet before nightfall.
The sending off party walked over and camped with us, so that they could send us off again tomarrow.

There's got to be more than that.
I got the eye. The ancient eye.
I can find ruins, remains, relics and artifacts.
You should see the pre columbian stuff I found in the backyard of the last house I lived in. The whole chicago area was oncefilled with ancient peoples. Not indians. The caveman kind. And when I lived in the washington area with my uncles I found tons of mammoth remains.
I read that there's supposed to be ancient city's from washington to alaska some founded by chinese or japanese explorer's. And a few Great indian citys.
I bet you I can find something.

June 2ed.

Only 200 feet today, to reduce the weight I have gone through the contents and left everything I could possibly do without including the harpsicord, and most of the Chinaware. Oh well, it's called "roughing it" for a reason.
Sending off party still with us, they are eating salmon and cariboo with the native packers, but I am following the advice of Dr. George Drew, of the royal society in London. Who has determined that since the most populus large animal in the regon is the beaver, it follows that the diet most suited to the environment must be wood chips and pond water.
I find a fifty/fifty mix of spruce and birch to be the most palateable.

This story gets better everytime I read it.

June 3ed.

Thought I would help out by going ahead of the native packers and encourageing them, so I donned my Muskegg ski's, made of pewter, thinking they would allow me to glide over the tundra. The people hauling the canoe sled overtook me.

Later, we reached the banks of the river and got to see how the canoe sled works on the water, while sound in theory, it floats like a brick. The sides will have to be built up.
I'm starting to detect a certain amount of sniggering amongst the natives. They are talking in there language, pointing at me and giggeling. So this evening, after dinner of sauted willow and spruce gum, I dressed myself in full dragoon gear, with plume on the hat and the clan kilt. Then I called a meeting and told them there would be no more laughing.

jetblue

I fancy i am seeing signs of new respect, the natives have givin me a native name; Nagahukena, which my translator tells me means "Arced like a bear."
Now here it says: [EDITOR'S NOTE: A more exact translation is; "Brain like a rock."]

June 6th.

Natives are healthy, but I am feeling poorly. Perhaps I have not adapted to the woodchip diet as quickly as anticipated.

June 7th.

After a very large meal of poplar, still feeling ill feed, I've decided that the few remaining natives in my employ are trying to poison me. So I have resorted to desperate measures.
One of the uses of the canoe sled, is as a one man fort, to guard against marauding tribes. So, under the guise of going below decks to check on some supplies, I locked myself inside. Left my food out unfortunately, so I am eating blank pages of this diary and soon I will have no-

Oh snap,he had to have survived how else would the journal have been preserved.

Hell no.

As to what happened: He passed out from hunger and the natives and sending off party prised open the door, caried him south to a port, and shipped him back to London where I think he might have been knighted, but I'm not sure on that.

The canoe sled was resold as far as I know to some other unfortunate bastard so it very well might be kicking around someplace, or been striped for scrap.

He made it to the river, however he did not make progress UP it really, just hacking through underbrush a short ways.

There was one guy going to one of those really cold places (can't remember which) and he was walking for ages then he felt this squelchyness in his boots. He carried on walking but after a while it was just too gross, so he took off his boots and the soles of his feet were still there in them. :amazed:

Anyway, he then stuck them back on and wrapped bandages around them to keep them there this time. :knockedout:

Yeah well, in Quebec more specifically, here how it works:(with the terms we use to call the schools):

-6 years of primary school
-5 years of high school
-2 years or 3 of college (2 for pre universitary programs and 3 for technical programs)
-3 years of university for (in my case) a BAA (business administration diploma)
and if you want a master or a doctorate (sp?) then you have to do more years....in my case it can wait :p

She may have been confusing, but she also taught me more about myself than I ever knew exisited. Who knows who I would have been without her? I shudder to think about it. I'm getting to a point in my life where I really, really like myself; without her I most likely never would have become a vocal member of this board, she brought out my "talkative" side, among many other things. [And I'm also sure there are some who rue that fact....http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/wink.gif] I silently thank her each and ever day (and probably will do so for a long, long time) for helping me get there. That is basically what I am going through. And my friends are a huge help (or hindrance, depending on how you look at it). All of my friends, based on what I tell them, think that one of my coworkers likes me and is flirting with me. However, being a man, and someone who's been single forever, I have no clue whatsoever if she really is or not. You know? I hate not being able to tell things.

So I'm just taking things slow. Maybe not the best thing, but I have no idea what else to do. Besides, the baby steps may actually work. So we'll see.

It's good to have friends :p. I know that mine have been a huge help in clearing up alot of the female-related confusions I've been having. As per advice, I'd say you should know if she want's it to be serious enough by body language, but by god when you're out of practice it can be hard to read. Baby steps has helped me in the past, plus it can make you appear to be one of those "sensitive" guys. . I dunno, it's worked for me in the past. Anyways, life still goes on well, though it'd be nicer if we didn't just get a blizzard last night  . Wow PEI weather is messed up.

Maxin
04-12-2005, 10:28 AM
Yeah, I can't tell body language or little subtle hints or anything like that. I DO know that becoming physical (punching you jokingly on the shoulder or slapping some other part of the body (don't go there, pervs)) is a good sign, and that's happened in the recent past. It's just a bunch of small things. So even though my friends say that she likes me and whatnot, I'm not entirely convinced.

But it is great to see that baby steps do seem to work! And I am sensitive, so maybe that's a plus, too.

Hull City you say, man they deserve to be in "The Championship" they are a huge team with great potential but have lingered in the lower leagues until now....good on them.

i also see Wigan have been promoted to the premiership which is another remarkable achievment because they wernt even a football team until 25years ago. maybe this should be in the sports thread.

You can drink in Canada at 19. And I think it's even lower in parts of Europe.
And that means were better than you.
In drunk teenagers at any rate.

how does it make you "better"????

over in England its 18yrs to purchase alcohol, but you can be 5yrs old to drink smal amounts of alcohol with parental consent in your own house.

some parts of Europe have even smaller age limits than 18yrs (mainly 16yrs) which is kinda stupid but its up to them. in Malta has age 16 limit for the reason that they hardly get trouble on there streets due to beer but then we look at England where we get ganged youths running around slicing and dicing people with knives after a poxy pint of cider.

Beer doesnt need an age limit as long as the "wrong" people dont get their hands on it

Galthol, Fireworks are not only not sold on the Island, they're also illegal here as well. However, you can do what I did last time I got some and just go directly across the Confederation Bridge and stop at the gas station on the other side of it (an Esso, I believe), where they have firework kits that cost anywhere's from 10 to 35 dollars. I'd recomend the 35 dollar set, as it has the ones that cause the biggest boom http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/evilgrin.gif.
Life goes well I suppose. I'm still on the hunt for a job, but hopefully I'll have one in the next couple weeks. Also, a buddy of mine just bought a car that's in great shape for only 500 dollars (a Hyndai SCoupe, for those who mighta been curious), so I know that I'm definently gonna have fun this weekend as we drive around seeing what the car is capable of http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/evilgrin.gif.

Feeling at ease while publicly speaking really depends on what I'm talking about (the more I know and like the topic, the more my talking about it will be easy).
Generally, I just feel stress a few hours before the presentation, but once I have started, I feel relieved and at ease. Believe me or not, but dancing Stepmania songs in front of dozens of unknown people or friends still helps me much to overcome that kind of anxiety :) I won't dance during my professional presentations, though :D

Life is great now that I got my PC running again. Did much to occupy time. Considering opening a internet videogame console fix it shop now that 2 of the main console repair sites closed down.
Went out a lot. Mainly to the city. Spent some time in the Washington Library in downtown chicago. While waiting for my turn on there internet computers I went looking for some books.
In the basement of the library they have a lot of books that are a bit to general to have in the main stacks and lots of donated books from rich patrons and a restoration wing. They do allow browsing but you have to leave 3 forms of ID at the desk or personal belongings like cash or jewlery and gloves are provided. Some books are labled no xeroxing.
I mostly looked for occult books I havent seen before. I was looking at one about chatteliers tretise and saw some words I seen only seen once in my dads books when I was a kid. Merlins grimoire.
I've seen many occult books except that one. Ive read the books of life and death, necronomicon, alchemy, the litany's of olympus and caballah. None have what im looking for. Mabey merlins book might have what i seek.
Translated to latin by monks that didnt know what they had and kept in a monastary as a item of history of wales during the dark ages. Seems that the book or a copy was taken by a sorceress in england that had lived for over 500 years and fled to the americas during one of englands many religious purges.
Where a copy went into the hands a religious group.
I always thought merlin was made up but the more I read he seems to be real. Living for over 5 thousand years and traveling as far as china seeking knowledge. Preforming miracles and healing people.
Possibly when earth was filled with more than humans. I can only imagine what might be in the book. Knowledge older than olympus, summeria and egypt, and the druids. That far back in history is the time of Titans.
What do I seek in these old books? Only one thing.....The Gate Way.
I know its crazy but there's supposed to be a ruined great city by the gateway.
Just a hobbie. The book might just have poems. Young boy's dreams.

If any of you know any info about merlins book let me know.

How odd life has been on this great day. for me, it went splendidly. I had a job interview, went bombing around a gravel pit following a buddy of mine in his Tracker with my Jimmy http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/evilgrin.gif, then got home to find out I've got to phone and set up another job interview tomorrow. While this may not seem odd, bear with me.

While I was sleeping through the morning/ heading to town for the job interview, one of my buddies dropped off his car to get it inspected (having just bought the car, he thought it prudent to get a valid inspection sticker). When I arrived in town I gave him a lift down to Coastal Tire (the spot he was getting it inspected at). He came out cursing like a sailor due to his car apparently failing the inspection on a number of minor things that were actually in fine working order when he took it to the shop. After this, I decided I should take him to the mall to cool him down a bit. Upon arriving there, one of his ex-roommates just so happened to walk by - wearing one of his sweaters that disappeared at the same time as he moved out. The offending sweater-stealer then proceeded to try to convince us that his mother sewed him the sweater. Poor Joey just wasn't having a good day. So we left the mall and headed up to the nearby wendy's for some nurishment, at which point they proceeded to mess up his burger 4 times. And yes, it really was four times they screwed it up. Gotta love the intelligence of your standard D.P. Murphy employee http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/wall.gif.

While the second paragraph may not have had anything to do with anybody that any of you except perhaps Blade and Lance, I thought I'd include it for the personal enjoyment of those of us who find humor in other people's misfortunes. Oh my I know how that feel's Vidus. I think its one of the punishments of tartarus.
Here's some things I did to try and get some internet:
See if you can rig some of your video games sysyems to get internet. Most of the newer ones have modems except mine had dial up modems and all I have is a cell phone and no telephone line service. But be careful because telephone charges do apply.
Also some pc repair shops have game rooms where you pay about $7 to use there computer cubicles for playing computer games or surfing.
And the library's were a journey for me. Because some library's have diffrent times yu can use and rules if you sign up again in one day.
Some of the shopping malls here have free internet cubicles with advertisement in the middle of the halls. You could stay on those forever till the malls close if the kids and sailors dont bother you.
And there are cafe's but I stayed away from them so I dont know how much they charge. They look expensive.
May your time without internet be short and fast.

- My own software project, Ethos Catalogger, is under heavy reorganization. Right now it requires more paper, pencil & brains than a plain keyboard :p Judging by how it evolves, it's gonna be great once I can use the new architecture I'm trying to set up.

- I've started one more anime music video, which is based on electronic music and video SFX. It's not officially started yet (I still need to know if I have enough samples to make the whole video) but it looks better and better each time I add excerpts :)

- Last but not least, I have decided to cook a complex meal every two weekends :p Last time it was a fromage blanc pie (cooked with my mother's recipe), and it was a success :lick: Now that I don't have useless homework to do, I have more time to... cook o.O That may sound weird at first, but I really enjoy doing that :)

It's only 6:50pm my time, and I am dead tired....and I still have more work to do! The Pistons are on tonight, I have to make my lunch, and try to get to bed at a reasonable hour. And now I have to find time to get over to my mom's so I can get those FFX2 tracks I was looking for, and get the sound test [so how I can hear how much my song sucks ass in comparison to everyone else's]?

Please, shoot me now....I won't whine, I promise!

Is it actually illigal to doge jury duty?
If so you just say you never got a letter,
or that the defendant is a good friend of yours.
Thats how I get out of it.

Well, you could, but I was never one to shirk civic duty. And once you're on a jury [like myself], there's no way off, save grave illness or death, I'd guess.

It's not gonna work with me being wide awake at 11:15pm. Gotta go to bed! At least the Pistons stomped on Miami's ass tonight.

Life is ok - except that I cut my left thumb pretty bad yesterday.
I never knew I needed that stupid thumb for so many things - it seems to me that every minute I use it for something and then am reminded of the cut with a big "OUCH"

Time to post a bit...
I work at CGI now. I answer the phone and try to resolve computer issues, but they're mainly problem with passwords forgot or equipement changes. I'm not a good programmer or anything, but this job is easy enough for me.

Life is still the best ! Even though I'm alone, I get to spend a lot of time with my friends. Playing pool, AD&D, watching animes and movies.

Hope you're all well !

How this for "great?" I single-handedly let the what I thought was a mutual break-up between my ex-girlfriend and I on Sunday turn into something very, very ugly today. All because I didn't realize what was going to happen, and I didn't stop it before it did. Basically, she called me yesterday to see if she could still take me out for my birthday [tomorrow] tonight, since she had already planned on doing somthing. Alarms went off in my head, but I dismissed them since I thought we had agreed breaking up was for the best. I shouldn't have; dinner tonight was big "win him back" effort. Needless to say, tonight was something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Seeing the girl across from you and knowing you don't want to hurt one hair on her head, but knowing what will make her happy might hurt you even worse in the long run, and not knowing if you can take that chance again? That's the ultimate no win situation there. And I didn't know how to handle it. I let it get worse than it should have, and now I feel horrible. And there's nothing I can do but leave her alone, and hope she'll be all-right.

Just what I wanted to give myself for my birthday. I'm the biggest asshole ever.

I think I found some info on the book Im looking for. Mabey just a dead end or a false trail. But the book is somewhere in north america and was found by a quaker elder. He knew exactly what the book was but didnt destroy it. Instead it was resewn in a book of old testament chapters and on the cover was placed a small round carving of the face of jesus or someone in either Ivory or Marble. I think Ivory because marble is brittle. But it was a white material.
If anyone seen a book similiar or read about it somewhere please let me know. Any little bit of info no matter how weird will be helpful. And since most of this post can be googled im sure it will lead to a clue of merlins grimoire.

What are you talking about, Jetblue ? Doing some research on a grimoire which supposedly belonged to Merlin, is that right ? That's original, to say the least. :search:

Life is really good, I must admit. (^_^) Everyone in my family seems fine nowadays - my brother's gonna get married on July 30th... Actually he's already married, but that was the civil wedding and we did it in Ukraine ; so on July 30th we're gonna celebrate the religious wedding, in France. :) I'm still looking for a job but I think I'll find one in the next few months, as my CD-ROM portfolio is now finalized and all I need is a chance to show it to a developer. My friend is currently working at Ubisoft and gave them my CD-resume a couple of days ago, we'll see if that pays. :D

And the weather's fair ! And on saturday I'll go visit my girlfriend in the South and we'll have a party for her birthday, and my friend will come along ! And it'll be fun ! And... yayyy~. :w00t:

By the way, I urge you all to pay me a visit, see my works and tell me what you think of it ! :spin:

A place called Fougeres, we're doing a very mini version of Romeo and Juliet in the castle there along with some people from Fougeres and Germany.

It's part of a town twinning event...thing. :D

The way the council want to do the play doesn't sound very good....but it's an all expenses paid trip to France for a few days so all I have to take is cash for souvenirs! :D

It's meant to be a 10-15 minute show involving dance and speech....so I have no idea how it's going to work... :wonder:

As if that's not enough, we start in the castle courtyard then have to move to inside the castle for another part of it and take the audience with us somehow.

Bit ambitious for 10-15 minutes in my opinion. ;)

And it's an 8 hour coach journey...very glad for handheld console games and mp3 players now. :D

Life's damn hot, but fine (as long as I can stay inside my house all day long and avoid sunlight). We've been having more than 30°C everyday here, since about ten days... The best I can do is shut all windows and shutters when the morning ends ; this way the house doesn't get too hot and I can keep it about 5°C cooler than the outside. Actually, intensive research now allows me to keep it 7°C cooler... So today it's 33°C outside and 26°C inside. Life's a breeze ! :p

PS : I did 12 errors (on 40 answers) in my driving theory test today !
Not too bad, considering I haven't taken the tests since 3 months...
But I did expect a little better though. XD
