I'm bored... so I open this Topic. It's about Levo Lution XII. He's an unknown japanese Video Game Remixer but I my opinion the best one. Best one related to techno/dance/trance. OCRemiXes are great, no doubt.. but Levo Lution beats most of the techno ones. Just check it out:

http://www.levolution.info/

Check the Sound corner there. This should be very interesting for those who like techno/dance/trance genres in a very powerful but also melodic way, as already said. If you became friend with his style and cant get enough from it (like me):

Its a link database about some more japanese Remixers (scroll 2/5 down, you'll find the links). There are many excellent ones listed. It isnt toooo hard to understand. Each page got a sound corner, so you wont have any probs with navigation.
Have fun! :)

Bye, Yume

Edit: I forgot. I should to translate some top lines.
聖剣伝説3 = Seiken Densetsu 3
英雄伝説 4 => Legend of Heroes IV
英雄伝説 5 => Legend of Heroes V
I hope you've installed kanji and chinese language files in your OS :)

I'm listening to LevoLution's remixes right now... :wonder: He does have ideas but he tends to overuse several samples. What's more, his sound engineering really sounds amateurish :p

IMO, the best 'electronic' VGM remixer ever is bLiNd (http://vgmix.com/user_profile.php?user_id=423). Just take a listen and you'll see that every track he has worked on sounds different and has a very professional sound.

Hmm.. hey I know this dude. One of my hobbys is listening to OC RemiX's. He got a bunch of talent, your point. I luv bLiNd's mixes since I heard Blue Vision. It got a pretty load of atmosphere. btw thanks for the site.. *bookmark*. He's pretty good yea.. but for my taste a little bit to slow. It's chill-out but quite nice to listen. Its prolly the own taste that makes 'best'-decisions in this case. From all OC Remixes.. I actually like Haroon Pirachas (FFMusic DJ) mixes most of all. Like the FFVII Corel Prison mix, since it got a nice speed and many variable strings. Kinda like an accustic orgasm :D

What's more, his sound engineering really sounds amateurish :p Your opinion.. but you can view it from many sides. After studying Levo's works a little and gathering some infos, I accpeted the less sample variety. It might be his personal style. Another fact. He's from japan. Many japanese remixers got such a style there. Dont know.. opinions are different. :)
Farewell, Yume

I have to agree with Zeugma. Being a frequent visiter in vgmix (www.vgmix.com) and ocr, this Levo Lution could really benefit from some serious upgrade on his/her sounds. Most of his/hers sounds (not the chipsounds) sound like they are from early/mid 90s. As far as the remixing goes, it's not very interesting either. Techno trance whatever songs are more like covers layed with some beat on top, rather than actually doing something to the songs.

Haven't downloaded all of them yet though, so maybe there is improvementto be seen.
