This is my little VGMusic FTP. Hmm.. VGMusic itself might be wrong. I collect more or less RPGMusic only, since it would be to time-eating, to throw an eye on such a enormous variety of VGMusic. Well... Here the Details:

Server related Hardware:
AMD Athlon 3200+
1024 MB DDRam
60 GB Maxtor Y060L0
Note: HDD for server purpose only.

Server related Software:
Windows XP Professional / Service Pack 2
Bullet Proof FTP Server v2.15

Connection:
T-DSL
Max Up: 24 kb/s (8~10 kb/s for each - sometimes more, sometimes less)
Max Down: 120 kb/s
Traffic Limit: none
Note #1: Provider disconnects after 24 hours for 5 seconds. Just reconnect then.
Note #2: Connection upgrade is planned.

Rules:
1 - Hammering=Ban. Set your client to 60 sec, at least!
2 - Do breaks after loading ~4 albums (mega-size albums NOT included), cause there are also other people who want to use the FTP.
3 - Please reply here, when you use my FTP :)
4 - DO NOT pick on Yume, cause his english is crappy. Yume is from cold ol' germany and not grown up with it :p

1 - Everything from Falcom/JDK I havent already got (Falcom Albums itself [Compilations, Best of's], Ys OST's, Sorcerian OST's, Legend of Heroes OST's, etc). If you got quality replacements for one of mine, you're welcome :)
2 - All RPG related soundtracks you'd like to share. I'm grateful for soundtracks/rips/whatever.. I havent already got. And again.. If you got quality replacements... welcome :D

I decided to see if I could connect to your FTP, and, for once in all of my attempts of trying to connect to FTP sites, I did it!

So I'm downloading Final Fantasy X: Piano Collections. That's all I'm getting this time.

EDIT: Crap, my d/l speed is kinda slow. I hope it gets better, because I don't want to take up too much time.

Enjoy it. Speed is no problem. If you get less speed someone else will get more. So it stays equally. No worries about that!
My FTP isnt crowded yet.. there are times where no one is connected. I like that.. everyone is able to get the stuff he wants very fast. :D
Hope it stays so for a while but nvm anyway. I hope my provider is able to enable the faster network in my area soon. So I'd be able to open a few more accounts. Well.. lets wait.. and drink some tea ^^

Hmmm.. well. There's a problem. I make this server private, so for this forum only (and some buddies outside). Reason is the massive flood of leechers. They suck me pretty dry -_- and I cant sit all the time in front of my compi. In my opinion the people here got more rights to download than a leecher who 'just want to have it'. Its also a load of work to organize all these files. I rename every little album perfectly and try to get the optimal titles, etc... and then.. some dudes dont even reply and leech...
So please EVERYONE who's interested in an account here pm a login name and a password. I'll create accounts immediately. It's the better way I think.
Actually.. it's my own fault. If you google 'vgmusic' you'll see this topic on place 6 in google. That explains the leechers. Well. Please send me your data and get a better chance to load stuff from my FTP. Enjoy!

Concerning uploads, there's very interesting VGM-related material that is not technically VGM (solo albums such as Sailing to the World or Baroque in the Future). Do they have a place in your collection ?

Do they have a place in your collection ? Hm.. yea.. its a bit high but I plan to upgrade my connection anyway. Well, superspeed connections are no standard here yet but it comes more and more.. I'll get such a connection when it'll be available here. I need it for my job, anyway. It shouldnt take so long, since our providers become faster and faster with technical upgrades. Another positive fact is, that the providers grant us unlimited BW. I think I should use this.
Yea, those have place. I already started a Doujin Folder for some of those. But it isnt so much yet. VGM related ALbums are often better than some originals, in my opinion :)
HDD's become also cheaper and cheaper and rage controller are the key ^_^ It's more than good enough to store and read data. I woudnt put an OS on a raged HDD anyway.
Hmm.. actually, this FTP isnt for mass leeching. It should be become one where you can find your album without searching like hell. :) The ammount of albums is also because of personal interests. I somehow like it to gather stuff I like. It started with Items in RPG and pokemon when I was joung. I dont know.. its like all or nothing.. even if its impossible or crazy.. but its a great feeling to scroll and scroll and scroll.. etc :D

- Baroque in the Future, by the band Deja Vu, aka the band where Motoi Sakuraba was at the keyboards. Great stuff, heavily influenced by what we now know as the "Sakuraba Style", but with a J-Rock flavour :p

- Arcturus ~The Curse and Loss of Divinity~ : A soundTeMP album that has probably been forgotten after the release of Ragnarok Online... but not by me :spin: As for RO, their surprising style makes each track an entertainment on its own.

I'll add the new one's soon to my collection but first I'll try to give everything some more structure. I'm thinking about a Composer Structure.. So a Falcom Folder with Xanadu, Ys, Falcom Box's, JDK Specials.. etc. Additional.. I stop hardcoreloading for a while and try find replacements for the bad quality OST's. Its sad when theres a nice OST with like 128 kbps.. and since its unpayable to buy everything original it must be :)
