Yes it is a pretty catchy tune. That is in my top 1000 collection :) Alot of the beatles is great. My faves though have to be Strawberry fields, Across the universe, i am the walrus, Yesterday.....actually loads more. its prob easier to say which ones are crap :)
Anyway right now: Charlotte sometimes, The Cure. (followed by Stairway to heaven : Led Zeppelin my fave song ever :) )
http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Holy crap, you have a top 1000? :p How long did it make you do that? :D
Age of Empires: Collector's Edition soundtrack, just started, and the song is Shamburger by David Rippy & Stephen Rippy. I have to say that Age of series has always had good music, and the tracknames are always amusing.

05-13-2006, 09:01 PM
Holy crap, you have a top 1000? :p How long did it make you do that? :D
Believe it or not, it doesnt take too long to make it. You just dump every song you have into winamp then start deleting the rubbish ones:) The hard part is downloading all the albums. (Its not a top-1000, its a "best 1000" I guess. I did make a "top 25" though where 1 is the ultimate tune)
Its not 1000 yet, its up to 986, but there is certainly room for 14 more somewhere in the world. I am now downloading as many 1 hit wonders as I can too. I could always upload the playlist HTML file by winamp?
I have a best 1000 computer game one too, but that one is 703 so far http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/dance.gif still plenty of games to go hehe. I be the first to admit that my comp game collection is not as diverse as most of the people on Rpgamers thoughhttp://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/embarassedlaugh.gif
Its very good not to hear ones I dont want, thats why I did it:) and because I am dumping them on a few DVDs for playback when I am camping out etcf, I found a nice little program that reads your playlist then copies and pastes the files to a directory .
At the moment i am watching the simpsons via Winamp, but my mate has just informed me he has 320 episodes and 45GB worth of the family haha. I hope he wasnt planning on sending it via the net, only take 8 days.....meh. I am hoping once blu-ray and extra memory media arrives we can have all the episodes on 1 disc and such like....

SeymourGuado
06-05-2006, 11:05 AM
I am downloadinf FFXII OST now. Due to uematsu basically leaving the final fantasy franchise (he only does 1 music in XIII also), I expect this OST to be below average for a Final Fantasy soundtrack. Better than X-2 but not on the level of VII-XI.
It is a pity too because Hironobu sakaguchi has also gone and is currently working on the games Uematsu is composing for. Doesn't matter he gave me plenty of music for the other games and for the greatest game in history. As for the rest of the series, I think in the end he will be back. Just about the same time fans start getting real pissed off like me:)

They both sound pretty much the same. The flaw with disturbed is that all their music if heard in the background you could confuse with a few of their other songs. Down with the Sickness is really old, but has lot's of good songs. Ten Thousand Fists is newer, but also about as good as Down with the sickness. Depends on whether you want old or new disturbed.

Great news from me:)
I have found an emulator which give sout superb and as far as I can see unchallenged megadrive music output called gens32 (or gens surreal). If you have a soundcard capable of 24 bit @ 192000 Hz sample rate, its amazing:) I fully intend to use this emulator to redo all sonic music and every other game I need in superior sound.
At the moment I am testing out Echo 2's main theme (tides of time) a beutiful piece
oh and that emulator I talked about....just tested bare Knuckle on it, and it beats the actual CD release

the animethemes right now are mostly one piece themes... oh! and also some bondthemes.... some sucks.. but the most is really good actually...^^
I like living daylights, view to a kill, tomorow never dies and the world is not enough... and let´s not forget... for your eyes only too... she sings better than most do today.. at least that´s what I think... ^^
btw... "we are the stars" the ragnarrok animation opening is so nice I actually cry... she´s a great singer that Yamazaki Maimi...^^ but there are more of those great singers out there.. especially the animetheme-singing ones...^^

Ah but;) I haven't decided on whther it can hold up to the other Nobuo ones. I feel, maybe not. I will need to play the game through and listen more, then I report back.
However it is better than I thought it would be, and it should fit the game nicely:)
I always hold up that an soundtrack is a very important part of a film/game. A game with a decent soundtrack never truly dies.
