View Full Version : Meaning behind your tag?
tanisthalon

Just wondering:
'What is the story behind the tag (name) you chose for membership to the forums???'
'tanisthalon' is a character from the Dragonlance Chronicles. He is half elf/half human. I read the book when I was 12. It became the tag that I used for almost everything and has stuck with me for 19 years now.
The books are a good read if you like fantasy stuff. Obviously doesnt even touch Lord of the Rings, but none the less an enjoyable read :).
My handle has no real meaning. The reason why I chose it was because it's kinda of stupid name/nickname in Finland, and I decided to take it because that way I wouldn't have to worry whether or not I can register with it. As no one else would use anything as stupid as this :) Though I have regretted it kazillions of times, it kind of stuck. Atleast it's not a cliche as so many of webhandles are :D
My secondary nick is Preacher Bob, which is taken from amazing PC adventure called Sanitarium.
I have also been known to use Wesker (from Resident Evil), Hunk (also from Resident Evil) and Malcolm the Jester (from Kyrandia series). But all these only very little.
Also, my very first internet handle ever was Akim. Which is my real name backwards :) How creative.
Yuffie
12-18-2004, 03:58 PM
I chose this name because I am a thief.
Just kidding! :D
I just like Yuffie's nuttiness and kick ass ninjaness. :D
That and she's a girl who goes around stealing the stuff she wants! :D
Tried picking my friend's pocket as a challenge but I don't think she approved so she just took out all her junk and put it on my desk instead. I got a bus ticket though! ^^;
Oh yeah, and I want to look as good as she can in shorts. :p No fair!
jetblue
12-18-2004, 08:13 PM
Mine is simple. I live near a airport where I use to see the jetblue airlines logo all the time. The old logo was a lot nicer than there new one. The shape of the letters and the color and the undeline. It was hypnotic to me. I have it graffitied all over the place and on my journal cover.
My brothers think its gay. I wont repeat what they say but you can figure it out.
I use to have leon or chris or barry years ago or racoon79 or any name from RE so I would'nt forget. But most of the forums I used them on have been hacked to death.
If you go around to various gaming forums you can see my name floating around. Only on sonicfreak is there another jetblue. I find that very strange.
I remember a preacher bob on another site but I forgot wich one, my memory is failing me.
Astrolounge
12-18-2004, 11:26 PM
It's a CD by smash mouth.
No real reason I used it as a screenname,
I guess I originally used it because i could not think of one, so I just used the CD title.
Lame? Yes.
Likely to be anywhere else on the web? NO.
As a side note, on some sites I am known as "Wonko The Sane," from the Hich-Hikers Guide books, But that name is usually taken.
So onward, as Astrolounge I shall be.

Let's see...my nick now is simply a statement of what I am: One living for the Lord Jesus Christ. Before this I was known as SilverWater (the name just sounded nice so I took it), DarkFant (I was one of your dark, secret fantasies? Hahaha), uNf|XeD on IRC because I wasn't fixed up with a girlfriend, caustic and a few others here and there. I've been DarkFant the longest though.
But! My dumbest nick ever was Fantasy Lover :D Hey, I was a small kid and didn't know that much. I loved to read fantasy, so I put that as my nick

Pikatsu is way Pikachù is pronounced in finnish.
Uh, and pikachù is my totem animal. :nana:
I used to be jarimheiska, which is my first name, first letter of my second name, and my surname.
Mine is my Spiritual Name, Ksaa Zair... as for my tag?? errrrr.... *looks at everybody looking at him* OH?! so now i'm SUPPOSE to know what i'm thinkign?! pfft... oh! if Ksaa gets back beofre Ksaa gets back, could you remind Ksaa to wait for Ksaa?

Well, since I'm new here, I'll explain.
A while ago, I attempted (heck, I'm still attempting) to get into writing as a hobby. I decided to choose the fantasy genre because I figured it would be the easiest to write in (even though I read books from almost all genres). Maxin is the lead character of this series of short stories I wanted to write and am currently trying to get back into. So that's where it came from.
Zeugma 440
12-21-2004, 07:35 AM
Zeugma, as the rhetorical term. The name was so weird that when looking for a new nick, I couldn't help choosing this one :D What's more, the first letter is in the end of the alphabet, like my real second name.
It means that I try to think out of the box when possible.
440, like THE reference for music tuning (A-440 ~ strangely opposed to Z-440).
It means that I'm addicted to music :spin:

I have to be honest, some of these explanations are intriguing. Glad I put the thread up! Eye opening explanations, with some great stories behind them :).
Maxin, hope your story gets back on track. Maybe we could proof read it for you in the future???
Hope there are many more additions to the thread from our members. Keep the good stories/explanations coming, please.

Well, I have the rest of the story scripted, I just haven't gotten myself to begin the second chapter. I have the prologue and first chapter written out, but they're still rough and in need of some changes. Maybe over the holidays I'll get back into the writing...I truly do want to finish the story and work on others, too.
But yeah, I don't mind sharing my story in progress at all. I'd just have to give a bit of background before anyone reads it. Maybe sometime after I return from the holidays (after January 5) I'll be able to share! Just no stealing my work!
i have a Story too! but.. i'm SUCH a horrible story writer -.-... i basically have more scripted too... but i just cant seem to write it out... i have other Sotryboards in RPs that i'm running (with help) to help me with my story... but they've bearily gotten started :(
Mine is Giea, hehe because once I played my first mmorpg I used the generator for names, and so Gieaten popped up and I took out the ten and poof Giea! I really like it tho =). But some times I use Gasoku or Goba. >.<

Your own self is your own biggest critic. I have always thought that I wasn't a great writer, either. And this goes for both school papers and writing for fun. But I tended to get good grades. Then when I started writing for fun, I just felt that things weren't coming out the way I wanted them to. That the things I was writing weren't clear or up to the standards of a professional (which they shouldn't be, as I am an amateur). But then I just decided that I was writing purely for fun, not to be published, but just to write something that people would find fun. So that's what I keep thinking to myself.
As for writing things out, it can be difficult. My advice for you is to just write. Even if you change things eight million times, at least you are writing. Eventually you'll write a passage that you like. And good luck!
Now if only I can get over my own writer's block...
Cyrano de Hero
12-22-2004, 09:18 AM
"Cyrano de Hero"- The story
"Cyrano" is the name from a very famous French play called "Cyrano de Bergerac" written in the 1800s. I read it for my senior year of high school and it had to be one of my favorite things I've ever read. For those of you that don't know, it's about a brilliant poet and excellent swordsman who has a huge nose. Because of this huge nose, he doesn't have the courage to tell a woman he is in love with her, so he uses his poetry skills to help his friend win her over. In the end, however, right before Cyrano dies, he expresses his love for the woman. It's very well-done and I highly reccomend it if you're into classical literature like me.
"de Hero" is my own addition and I just did that to add a little musical quality to my name. Oh, and I;m not French, by the way. I'm as American as Chinese food! :D :D

My what a reacuring problem.
I have only written to the third chapter of MY novel,
and can't seem to get off my ass to finish the fourth...
I never knew we had so many amateur authors here!
You know what? This is a good time to do that actually...
Elhaym van Houten
12-22-2004, 09:54 AM
Hey, Zeugma, I didn't know that part about A-440 - that's a nice reference :D
well, my nick is from my most favourite RPG - Xenogears.
The female main character is called Elhaym van Houten.
I think Elhaym is a very pretty name (I'd name my daughter like that ;) )
...and van Houten reminds me of a brand of cocoa from the Netherlands we had when I was a kid :).
Other screennames I've used are Genjo Sanzo (my favourite character from my most favourite Anime, Gensoumaden Saiyuki) and Stigma (that's a Manga by Minekura Kazuya)
I also have couple old stories that I'm planning someday to re-touch (as my english has improved quite a bit from that time :D ) and maybe even continue on. Someone with time to look for the links should/could probably hook the new guys with rpgn stories btw :) You know, the stuff from the old forums :)
Oh, and while I'm babbling about stuff, I might as well mention that I'm also a crappy musician :D
Also, Apollo440 :D

Ahh, the stories from the old boards :heartbeat: Here we go !
Tayron's fantasy story (on his website) (http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/libr/b/r/briansaul/elryn1.html.html)
Charon's RPGN story #1 ^^ (http://www.rpgamers.net/cgi-bin/board/discussion.cgi?forum=10&discussion=540&page=7)
And yes, Apollo 440 is an awesome group :spin: I like how they mix rap, jazz and electronic music in their albums. When hearing them, you don't really know where you are headed to, just like in a dream...

Yeah, we should share our stories sometime. If we felt comfortable with it, of course.
I look forward to reading some of the older stories! But I won't have time for a while. I'll look this forum post back up at a later time!

I chose Grim for a few reasons..
1) I like Death, Undeath, and such.
2) My D&D Clerics tend to be reapers of souls.
3) Grim just sounds cool :)
4) Allows my favourite Metallica song to be my theme song (For Whom The Bell Tolls)
DR_DIOX
12-26-2004, 12:12 PM
mmm... let's see.
DR_DIOX. it should be pronounce as "doctor diox", but DR realy satnds for my real name: Daniel Riquelme.
and DIOX, well. in spanish, "god" is "dios", and as you can see, Diox is vare alike. but is not the same in either way.
kind of dificult to xplain, but "diox" is more like a tribute, than a try to be like the lord.
so, is my name + an admiration to the creator of the universe and everything i like of it.
^^'
Hey.. this topic is interesting. So my journey to the depths of this forum part was a success :D
Well, Yume is japanese and means dream. I'm a very dreamy dude and like it to build worlds out of my own fantasy. There's a OC ReMix called "Create your Fantasy". Cant forget it... cause it sounds so sweet. Thats how I am :)

TrueSephiroth
01-20-2005, 12:26 AM
Back in 2000 is when I first started to go online and socialize in chat rooms and such. My first handle was JackFreeman. It was kinda thrown together. I liked HalfLife and didn't want to copy gordon so I just put jack.
Later I decided it was corny so I changed it to TheOneTrueSephiroth for the obvious reason that just Sephiroth was taken. Then I started to be called TOTS for short since I capitalized each word. I didn't like that to much so I shortened it to TrueSephiroth, or The1Sephiroth in email. It has been my rpg handle for along time now.
In around 2001 or so I stopped using JackFreeman for my first person shooter multiplayer games and started using Gamma. When I'm asked where it came from I say its from the highest and deadliest form of radiation, hazardous to be around.
Its really from the Dreamcast game Sonic Adventure with the robot named Gamma.
Mithrandir
01-20-2005, 09:26 PM
Bah, as I suppose you know, Mithrandir is the other name for Gandalf (Lord of the Rings). I took it because at that time I just read the books and Gandalf wa the coolest wizard ever. And also, the reason why I read the book and took the name, is because at that time, we were playing "Gandalf" with my school band, which cames from Joahn deMeij , Lord of the Ring symphony.
I have never heard of Mithrandir being the other name for Gandalf.
the elvish people call gandalf mithrandir in their speech :) I dont know so much about elvish but its prolly something like "great white wizzard".. well something like that.

DonQuixote

Mine really only comes with an admiration for DonQuixote. No knight is superior in duties of knight-errantry then him.
Dant3 is an irc nick i use on occasion. Coined when i first played Devil May Cry. Of course now i dont like those kind of names, so i switched.

Geosgaeno - the name is from the enemy (the big green fish with a showing rib cage sorta thingy) Tidus encounters at the Baaj Temple at the very start of FFX (well not the very start, bout 20mins in), i choose the name because i think it sounds good, and the actual creature looks amazing and i like it.

I have already considered that question (okay, I have no kids yet but there's no time to think about that, heh ?), and I've come to the conclusion that even if japanese names sound good to me, bearing a name such as "Yuki" in Europe can be more a burden than anything else for the child http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/embarassedlaugh.gif

I think I laughed at that name for a week straight. I just made up the spelling and used it as my moniker at a Phantasy Star Online session once, and I've been using it ever since.
I also use my old Kilbot nick sometimes. I was given that nick after I pwned my entire music class in a laser tag free-for-all on a field trip in Montreal. Twice. Oh, man, I was killer.

I like David Bowie. He is a monumental inspiration and my no.1 music idol mainstream.
Led an amazing life, made hundreds of inspirational and sometimes freaky songs. Music often reflecting a period in his life when he was going schiizofrenic through drug abuse, with delusions of ruling the world or having thw world ruled by 1 entity or another etc, hence songs like Saviour Machine and The Supermen.
many of his songs are about life, if not all. Mainly drugs, some about sex, the more famous of his pieces Space Oddity, about an astronought lost in space.
One of the top 50 best selling artists ever..what more can I say. He is known and rightly so, as a living legend.
If you haven't heard many of his songs..you are either missing out or have very bad taste.

Charon
05-03-2006, 11:03 AM
Charon actually came about by accident around the time I started to use the internet regularly. After noticing the trend of joining forums and chatrooms only to have one's name already taken I started searching for something a bit unique. I ran through the usual videogame ones pretty quickly, ashamed to say my first ever name online probably was Sephiroth. ¬¬ Exhausting those names pretty quickly I fell back on another area of interest in which I have a large amount of knowledge, Greek Mythology. I ran through various gods and demons before narrowing it down to either Belphegor or Charon. I chose Charon, mainly due to the fact he's named the same in both Greek and Roman mythology, maybe cos I like the fact it's Pluto's only moon, and probably because I soon noticed how easily the word is moulded into new phrases. Such as Charonic as in Charonic Entertainment. :P (And the Charasque, my new, toughened version of the Tarrasque).
Of course, even after choosing a sparkly new nickname it was only around 8 months till I ran into another Charon, and then had to append Chibi_ to the name for places where my once unique nickname was taken. As it is though I manage to grab Charon in most places I go.
Stop me now, I can rant for eons once I begin talking on my favourite subject...
Me. :P

I wouldn't really say that someone has bad taste if they don't listen to David Bowie. He's kinda an aquired taste to listen to...
Epology
05-03-2006, 02:41 PM
Agreed. He's worth listening to but not that incredible good.
Talking about music, did anybody here ever listened to trailer music? Ordanisations like "Immediate Music" or "X-Ray Dog" are quite popular.
Well, Epology. To be honest, I have no clue how it came to my mind.
I thought of it years ago. Most likely I heard the word "apology" some time before and then mixed it up with something else which started with e.
Luckily I apparently was the only one who ever came up with something that weird. ^^ At least I never met another Epology. :)

Might have been a bit more helpful if it was named "nickname" rather than "tag" but i am too lazy to go looking at post 1.
Whilst we are on the subject, I chose seifer almasy because:
a. He is the character most like me in many ways, not all.
b. he's cool character
c. I haven't seen too many people using him
d. I needed a nickname ages ago and quickly chose this one.
but I am seymourguado because:
a. I chose him on the spur of the moment without thinking about Seifer
b. Seymour is a great character
c. I like his voice actor

You made several comments that you didn't really care about the thread, but you care enough about the arguement to save it & upload it??? Why bother?

you have a choice as to whether you download and view it noone is forcing you, someone enquired about missing something that was all.
I back up all my messages everywhere, this is no exception, seriously it isnt about caring its about backing up. :) I do care about being attacked and I do care about debates. I dont care much for the eye thread:)
I think you should know that me and kilu seem to have somewhat of an history. He seems to disagree with almost 100% of the things I have said on thsi website ina period spanning around 3 years.
I find that odd, and its getting annoying but as I said live and let live.

No offense intended, but it seems that most of the posts that have turned into debates appear to have you on one side, and everyone else on the other... meh, I guess it doesn't really matter :p

They certainly do (apart from bamatone in the past, Geosgaeno, yuffie and tanisthalon a few times. Actually mainly people from my neck of the woods) and I may be arrogant enough to say I believe mine is the right side. However the difference between the rest and kilu is that the rest engage me in a proper discussion designed for discussion. Seems to me kilu jumps and pounces on any little misdemeanor like on here a few posts earlier.
I can take it but for someone to be totally opposite to me is not something I like Even those who dislike my views or disagree with them agree with me on atleast 1 thing like music taste. Kilu, you seem to be opposite on EVERYTHING.
No offense taken lance....This really isn't a big issue, I have lived with this 3 years, some of the problems caused by me in the past but certainly not all:)
I cannot help it if I see things and belive passionately about things from a right wing view:
Abortion: wrong on the whole, should be outlawed
Death penalty: should be reintroduced for the worst crimes where dna is avaliable
Euthinasia should be allowed
Integration forced by government to ethnic minorities
Cloning and all meddling in medicine at the moment terminated
Animal testing stopped or erradicated
Prportional representation reintroduced in polls
Refferendums introduced on some of the big issues
DNA database for all added
Iran and other countries should be bombed if they don't comply with US demands over their nuclear ambitions
They are my stances and although I am not going to start defending them, I can hardly help it if people disagree with some of them or all of them...I would like to think that kilu agrees with 1 or 2 of the above.
You will find that it depends on where the argument takes place. Here this seems to be somewhat liberal attitudes, if all the people came from the north west of england there would be a major shift to the right. Places like Finland where kilu is from or many other countries, I suggest the ppl on the whole are living in cloud cuckoo land. The sun is always shining, the wilderbeast are sweeping, the doves are flying and all is well. Hell even the clouds have a silver lining. Well, where I come from things are cooking, things are over-boiling and my view of the world is coming from a completly different angle. I think there are too many people around that wear blinkers and its time they took em off.
Anyway lance in the end I am well aware of the difference, the opposition but its something I can live with as long as its not a complete swing and an attempt to engage me on every little thing.

You've been here three years? O_O I should pay more attention.
I don't intend to hijack this thread off topic, but I'm wondering if it's jsut your views that annoy Kilu. I know him, and I share some of your views, and we've never ran into any difficulty.
Let's see...
Abortion. Disagree with you there.
Death Penalty. Agreed, bring it back. People should be scred to break the law, thats the point, I have ranted numerous times about this on the net. :P
Euthanasia. I agree should be legal, along with suicide. Who is someone else to tell me I can't die if I want to? :S
Integration. Don't really understand what you're on about. :P
Cloning I'm cool with, I'd like to see where it can go.
Animal Testing I am all for. (And you think you're controversial).
The polls thing I don;t get.
Not really sure what referendums are if I'm honest.
DNA database, no way.
Iran should be bombed for not conforming to your rules? Last time I checked America has no juristiction over Iran... maybe they should get to bomb you for not following their rules? O_o War should be a last ditch thing. I think it was right to remove Saddam from power in Iraq, and yeah it sucks that it had to get so f***ed up by everything, the ends justify the emans, but only just. Iran on the other hand...it's not time to just bomb them, especially not just cos they won't give in to your demands.
Anyways...tags? :D

It is my duty as a moderator to jump and pounce. Besides, the remark in this thread was just a general note, that reading the thread you reply to is generally considered to be smart.

And suggestion such as this is ridicilous. Of course there are always cultural differences, but you are taking it a bit too far. The difference is that even if there is something wrong in the world, I don't see how raving about it in internet forum is going to make a difference. Nothing againts debates, but generally it's just people going bonkers when others don't agree with them and all hell will break loose.

He and his buddies earlier accounts are banned, but we the mods decided to let them come back if they can't live without us. :p I might also mention that they tried to hide their identities by using proxies, fake birthday and stuff, but I'm the master detective and recognized them from the way they present themselves. (Also, see next quote)

I don't have a problem with anyones views and opinions, which is why you and I don't have difficulties. The reason why me and Daniel don't get along well is how he presents himself and his views, rather than the views themselves.

So you are saying that faking birthdays and using proxies is your way of making it obvious. I jump and pounce for minor things because I'm a mod, but the way you present your opinions has bothered me from the beginning.

Mine is way tooo obvious. When I entered this forum I told about it to everybody. Its a short for my name.
Mohammad Haseeb Anwer Qureshi...:).
ummm. . . . actually I don't really have a wonderous explanation behind my tag. I used to use it in videogames and I guess it was just easier than changing my name for different uses.

I have to agree that the way one presents one's opinions affects a lot the way other people will respond to these opinions. :p And yes, Seymour, although you have a right to defend your point of view (which I'm generally opposed to XD ), I have noticed time and again that you have a very straight way to state things. I've joined a few debates where you were involved, in the past ; but I've quickly given up because I felt you were never discussing in order to widen your own point of view.
Thus I have almost never answered to stuff you wrote in the last months, because I have very few time to post anymore and I prefer not to engage in sterile debates... But because I chose to ignore your mostly aggressive ideas doesn't mean I support them ; so I'm glad Kilu takes the time to answer you now and then (plus it is, indeed, his role as a moderator). And no, I don't live in Disneyland where everything is pink and sweet. :) I'm no trying to "heat up the debate" here - just letting you know that the one who speaks more / louder isn't necessarily right.
*ahem* Tags... :D "Pezito" comes from the PEZ candies, also has a meaning of "tiny", is easy to type and to remember, and it seems I'm the only one using it on the Internet so far. :spin: And my custom (Pezito®) T-shirt, made after the (Nintendo®) logo, kicks ass ! ^^

I havent been here fro quite some time so there would have been no debates for you to participate in. Recently I got broadband again.
I have nothing against Kilu modding but the fact is he has pounced once to often and before he was a mod (and I may add in the past not just on me). I dont just sink into the mud because kilu is more popular here and I might add never opposed to on anything (and anything full stop) he does wrong (and there have been occasions). It comes as no surprise to me that anyone saying something negative to Kilu is regarded as a plague but I tell it how I feel it, and I feel the dark cloud of kilu hanging over my head on every post. ;) nowadays I carry an umberella. Actually I cant be 100% but looks as though nearly all my bad reps are from yours truly, my first and my latest. Sure I have give some to him, but the first bad rep I have is just ridiculous, esp as its nicely covered up at the same time on post in question. Obviously kilu sees me as his no.1 enemy, and really that is quite amusing.
I have learn to ignore it somewhat but I am not going to start being non agressive, it is the way I am and it cannot change simply because this is the way things that have affected me have made me.
I think on the whole I have done quite well despite the fact I am opposed on most of my sane views. It would be nice to dump people with opposing views on 1 side of the globe, then they could feel the wrath of those views on themselves instead of them affecting me:)
The straight way is the right way, I have no desire to skirt around the issue and I do take into account ppls views but in recent times my mind closes to the same illogical arguments that I have heard , responded to and destroyed on many occasions. I am not bothered about constant attack, I have a dedication, a way of arguing and persistence that you will seldom find anywhere else.
Anyway when a tpic comes along I have already dealt with on here I shall just avoid. It is hard to be opposed on here since on other chatrooms I am actually appluaded it is an experience you should try...
Final note, I cannot widen my own view. My view is as wide as it is likely to get on many of the major isues. I have looked at the facts, I have seen the results and I have made the decison. The real pity is I can only see the results of my laws and not put them into practice.
Just becasue I yearn to be God does not make me insensitive to others views, its just that I have seen the same stuff before and grow tired:) actually I tell a lie, I just wish I weer someone with authority (god is too strong a thing..but you get the idea) because the only authority in my country is the lunatics that run the asylum. Of course that makes the massive majority of the british electorate idiots...and of course thats exactly what they are.
And I dont think there will ever be a last time kilu...even if not to me:)

First off. Commit. Godhood is not too strong. People are, on the whole, incredibly stupid and without the leadership of a godlike being such as myself they will surely bring about their own destruction. Secondly, position taken, you snooze you lose. You certainly have enough ego to play God ( I should know, my ego's pretty damn big) but you lack the appropriate discipline. I'll keep you in mind for an angel.
The post you just made, imho, is your best I've seen. You make some good points, just a pity you go from a horrific sentence including the words "ppls views" onto a quite articulate finishing sentence (same paragraph).
"Obviously kilu sees me as his no.1 enemy, and really that is quite amusing."
Unlikely, he's too laid back to mark you as an enemy, you're more a nuisance I'd imagine. And I'm not taking his "side" or ass-kissing cos I know him or he's a mod.
"It comes as no surprise to me that anyone saying something negative to Kilu is regarded as a plague"
He smells faintly of cabbage and his taste in hats is terrible. But seriously, if I did have a problem with him, I'd voice it.
"I have learn to ignore it somewhat but I am not going to start being non agressive"
Start. Agression just isn't welcome here, and that's where we hit the root of the problem. You ARE agressive. Woah woah, hear me out. But you are clearly intelligent and have strong opinions and a strong personality too, so surely you also have the skill to bite thy tongue and "stfu". Sometimes being the bigger man means just not speaking. No one's gonna think you're a pussy if you back down, no one's gonna hold a grudge either should you decide to just kick back a little, chill out. There's enough arseholes out there to war with every day. This is where we chill. Here, have a spliff. Breathe in, breathe out. Better? Ok stay with me bud, you're adopted. By me, I mean. :) I'll teach you the Charonic route to Godliness.
"And I dont think there will ever be a last time kilu...even if not to me"
:D Nice. See that's a cool line, a smiley at the end would have taken away the agression, and turned into a jokey aside, a poke in the ribs, a friendly dig.
So which thread are we in again? Oh yeah Tags.... :D

Posts used to always be like that. Deep, sensible, humourous. Fun isn't it?
But then a whole new wave came with the new forums and things turned into one post spam attacks and silly playfighting. Bring back the long post shaped waffle I say. I remember a time when the new forums were still under discussion and there was talk of having "weighty" posts being worth more value to your rank. Wonder what happened to that?
Oh and congrats on becoming a mod Kilu, I think I missed it. :P Oh and me and Zeugma hijacked your MSN non-blog....just thought I'd mention it.

The real downfall started when Zedie went MIA from the forums (though not completely from internet). Afterall, he is one of the oldest and the most coolheaded forum users I have ever met. But of course it's understandable that family takes precedence over internet.
