Hello All,

I am just writing you all to let you know about some
Internet fraud that is occurring around the country.
It involves the illegal upload of a dialer program and
international phone calls made without your consent.

http://www.fwbbb.org/release.html?value=20

This site gives a general idea of what is going on.
They tried to get my dad and I for only $43, but some
individuals have reported up to totals in the thousands or so!

http://w3.ripoffreport.com/results.asp?q1=ALL&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=&searchtype=0&submit2=Search%21&q5=Premier+Premium+Communications&submit=Search

This site shows a list of complaints against the
company. In turn, I have already filed complaints
with:

National Fraud Information Center
Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection
FBI Internet Fraud Complaint Center
econsumer.gov
US Postal Inspection Service
Fort Worth Better Business Bureau
Michigan Attorney General

Also, I will be contacting my phone company and
Internet provider to see if any additional complaints
may be filed. I will also be contacting local paper
and TV media outlets to help spread the word that
these bills are fraudulent, and these crooks need to
be stopped.

If any of you know of someone who has received a bill
from Premier Premium Communications, tell them NOT TO
PAY! They should take the steps that I did, and to
save the bill for proof of fraud. Hopefully, if the
word gets out enough, these yahoos will be behind bars
soon.

Thanks For Listening,
bjp

Well, sadly, these dialers and spyware are present on the internet. The best ways to NOT download them is by not surfing on obscure sites, getting your internet explorer security to high (though you might not be able to access everysite) and/or having ad-watch or spybot blocking them.

Or just move to a forest and become a hermit living in shack and surviving on the erm... goods of the woods :D

well, i have switched over to firefox, and what a difference! I love it.

also, these dialers can affect those with dsl/cable. you merely need a modem on the computer from what i understand. dial-up simply makes it easier, i guess.

but that's just my .02$

I currntly have Firefox AND Explorer on this computer.
My roomate refuses to get rid of the old crap. He thinks Firefox runs slower.
Ahh well, memory eating comence.

Well I can't get rid of explorer, atleast as far as I know. It being pretty solid part of XP and all. Plus I do use it occasionally. For Windows updates :(

Explorer is integrated into all windows OS I have heard and cannot be removed (read somewhere if you do it forceably, your system can go bye bye)

I just delete the shortcut and forget I ever had it, yeah and use it for updates too. Even they are wearing thin though, especially when the updates include the notoriously bad SP2. Sp1a was best for XP:) imho

yeah, same thing here. erased the shortcut, told everyone else to forget about it. with firefox, i haven't had one pop-up yet. i'm not trying to sound like a slappy, i've just been really impressed. it's come a long way since it was just mozilla, i guess.

also, in an update, when i told this jackass company that i had filed a complaint against them with about 10 oragnizations (like the FTC, FBI, Attorney General and BBB), they QUICKLY (I stress that) wrote back to say that they had "credited" my account, and that there would be no further "billing charges" What a joke.

just some simple thoughts from your village idiot

Just a small note. The only thing I have had a problem using firefox is that when it has been minimized for a long period, it takes years to reload. This can be sorted by changing the amount of space it uses as a buffer from 50000 kb to 10000 :)

Most people know this but if you are having this problem that is why

www.crochealer.info (http://www.crochealer.info)

Furthermore, they seem to have more than 1 site.

Another is www.crocistheking.us/biomiracle (http://www.crocistheking.us/biomiracle)

perhaps, but words that more readily come to mind when viewing that are, in no particular order, are:

stupid
insane
lunacy
mildly erotic (that operator was HOT!!!!http://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/wink.gifhttp://www.rpgamers.info/images/smilies/funnyeyes.gif)

didn't know where else to shove this since I made a comment earlier about firefox.

I have still been having loading problems/freezes but it definately has something to do with the cache's.

Heres what I have done and so far it is working great.

type about:config in the address bar to access the options

Put the browser.cache.disk.capacity to 10000 and MAKE SURE you also set browser.cache.memory.enable to FALSE.

Let me know what the results are for you
