What do you think is the best piece of game-related music that you've ever heard???

Well, i have a few favourites like Secret of Mana's intro, Chrono Trigger's Ending "To Far away times", Legend Of Zelda's Ending, And Finafantasy-7's "EyesOnME", SNES NinjaGaiden3's Ending....

But The undisputed Best of the Bests I've ever ever heard in my 25 years of life had to be "Requiem For The Nameless Victims" From the Dracula Battle Perfect Selection album. (Castlevania arranged special CD). Always touches my heart.
Most songs from that album are also top-notched.

way too many to choose...WAY too many. I can say some that I rate highly. Silence/calm before the storm (ffx), dance with balamb fish (ff8 FLWC), One winged angel, most of ff battle themes...zelda ocarina of time the music heard as u wander around, even megaman 3 i thought although it is nes has a good few musics with good melodies, landing (ff8), yell dead cell (mgs2), rex lair (mgs1), sword of doubt, treno and Feel my blade from FF9.......u see theres too many games too many tunes.

I could say my worst ones too.....a few crappy ones. on ff8 it is maybe i'm a lion. ahh forget it. I especially liked Spinich rag off FF6 piano collections...the ff6 version was crap due to console restrictions

i personally am really up on two from ff ix right now. i believe the proper titles are "vall'alla flamenco" and "the place where i'll return" although, of course, i'm sure the two titles i've just written are completely wrong.

Well the thing with most japanese vgm is, that there are really no 'proper' titles. Most of the time the english titles you encounter are fanmade translations and the quality varies a lot. "The Place I'll Return to Someday" and "Vamo'alla flamenco" says Chudah's Corner (http://www.chudahs-corner.com/), and those titles I have used. Most of the translations I have are from Chudah. I usually compare couple different sources and decide what sounds better in my mouth.

One Winged Angel (FFVII OST & FF20020220), Currents (GSuikoden 2- ORIZZONTE), To The Sealed Land (GSuikoden 3 OST & Celtic Collection) well thats the bests Pieces for me oooooo and all the Piano Pieces from Saga Frontier 2 :D

well, thanks for the clarification on the titles. i'll keep that in mind.

i am also a sucker for the good ole' zelda overworld theme. that "termina field" version is one that can get me pumped up whenever.

the "cave of despair" theme from ff x-2 is good also, especially the piano version (all 1:20 of it or whatever it is)
