ftp newb inquiries

hey y'all:

i'm bjp, new to this group. I had a few questions about the whole ftp thing so I can be a productive and law abiding citizen:

one) when " a single connection" is asked for, does that have anything to do with "threads?" or are threads something else? if, so how many threads is accpetable?

two) why do downloads not start immediately after dragging them to the folder i'd like to send them to? is that just a matter of there being way too much traffic, and me being at the end of a very long line? or is there some option perhaps i've screwed up?

what kind of ftp client are you using?
I only have experience with leech and bulletproof.

I belive the connections do have to do with threads and only one is allowed.

I could never get the drag and drop thing to work. I usally click on the file and put in in que and go to threads and click on that green arrow thingy and it starts the downloading to the file I choose in my local directory.

Make sure you have your Login Retry Delay set to about 100 seconds.
Also you could load up your queue list and lave it downloading for hours.
