He was just here in chicago at the physical rehabilitation clinic and was being interviewed by channel 5. When I was watching the interview I remember saying to my self how healthy he looks.
WE WILL MISS YOU SUPERMAN!

Boy am I gonna get stick for this....
Christopher Reeve. Now avoiding his disability for a moment... what did he do? He played Superman, and very badly in my opinion. He wasn't that good... Don't get me wrong, after his accident the guy showed heart and determination for sure, very impressive, but he's mostly remembered for being superman, something any low key actor could have accomplished.
It's an opinion not a discussion, you won't change my mind. He was a crap actor, but a strong willed person with a heart of gold. I just think too many people seem to think his greatest endeavour was being the man of steel.
R.I.P either way.

it's not so much how he played superman, but *that* he played superman... no one would know who the hell he was otherwise.
and besides that, there's the whole irony thing... >.>
i despise how his death is already being used as a political tool.
...but then again, i didn't really know the guy all too well.

i think agreeing would be a reasonable assumption... but i didn't watch the show because i thought it sucked, so i couldn't really say whether or not he was a good actor.
(and don't worry about what happened. i got nothing against Birdy or anyone else. i just don't want to log in with... a bad taste in my mouth, i suppose.)

:( Rest in peace.
As for Reeve as Superman, it wasn't as much about acting ability as the total package, and he fit the mold for the image of Superman to a tee. Personally, I don't find his acting all that bad either (at least, in the first one... and maybe the second) - he did a good job as Clark, in my opinion, especially when alternating (and sometimes rapidly) between the Clark/Superman personalities. At any rate, I also enjoyed his performance in Death Trap, which starred Michael Cain. I reviewd it in the Haiku Thread, methinks. :spin:

The show? What show?
That movie was a remake of Hitchcoks' Rear Window, IIRC.

Obviously I can google him, but if someone brings up George Reeves In a thread about Christopher Reeve, I'm wondering if he actually knows who we are talking about...

I think silver is living back in the 70's because George Reeves did do the tv show "Superman" in 1951-1957 where as Christopher Reeves (R.I.P) Played superman in the movies of the late 70's (1978) early 80's fame.
