View Full Version : Emoticons Popup Box: Categories

Hello folks,

I just modified the emoticons popup box code, to enable a mod we had back on the old vBulletin forum. When you click on "more" in the advanced editor box for emoticons, it would load up this small popup window, with every emote all on one page. Slow to load, and a pain to find things.

I have added categories for the emotes, selectable in a drop-down window. Only one category will display at a time now, dramatically increasing load time.

Also, I have changed the size of this popup window to double its previous value, so it is easier to navigate and read.

For those who didn't know, you can simply click the emote(s) you want in the popup box, and it will automatically enter the code into the advanced editor window for you! :)

Although when I used the dropdown to get to Messages and Signs, the size of the pop up box was still a little too small. ;)

I did notice that, however I wasn't sure if I should make it bigger. Its really just because of that extra-wide spoiler emote.

I think the defaults may have been lost because we upgraded from a much older version of vBulletin. Maybe that emote wasn't a default back on our old version. Anyways, your suggestion has been added, and is functioning!

They have always been there. In fact, I have a whole folder of new ones I never got around to adding, and maybe I shall dig up some time this week to add to the emotes list!
