GenCon

I'm not sure where everybody lives, but I was wondering if anyone went to GenCon in Indianapolis this past weekend. For those who don't know, GenCon is a gaming convention held twice annually in Southern California and Indianapolis. There were lots of card games, computer games, some video games and scores of tabletop RPG stuff.

I'm from Finland, so either location is too far for me to travel at all right now :) If I had the cash and the time I would probably go to the next Magfest (http://magfest.org/) as well.

I've never been to any gamer's conventions. I'm shy, and rarely go to things like that. The only conventions I ever go to are in Toronto, the computer shows and stuff. Great deals on parts :)

I'd love to have a big lan party here at the apartment, but I think our fusebox would melt. The wiring in this place isn't exactly up to speed. :o

:D Ah, but the bragging rights you'd earn! Certainly someone who burned down their house or melted the fuse box could be considered a hard core gamer. ;)

I didn't make it to this one, but I have been to A-kon in Dallas and Otakon in Baltimore. Both were a lot of fun. But I'd really like to go to Magfest, which has been mentioned before. The timing of it just isn't good, though. (October I think?)

That would be awesome birthday present for me to see magfest. But...

(I hate when birthdays are on Sundays don't you?)
