I haven't seen it, in fact I don't even know the story behind it. But I have heard Baron rant about this movie, so hopefully its worthwhile. I'm sure I will see it at some point.

Iron Man is a 2008 superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Iron Man. Directed by Jon Favreau, the film is about Tony Stark played by Robert Downey Jr., a billionaire industrialist and master engineer who is captured by terrorists in Afghanistan. Ordered to build a missile for them, Stark uses his resources instead to build a powered exoskeleton to make his escape. Returning to the United States, Stark improves his armor and becomes the technologically advanced superhero, Iron Man. Gwyneth Paltrow plays his personal assistant Pepper Potts, Terrence Howard plays jet pilot James Rhodes and Jeff Bridges plays Obadiah Stane.

....best marvel comic movie adaptation i think i've seen. batman begins may be a better movie, but this was really really good, with great acting from people you wouldn't expect to find in an action/comic book movie. a fun time out at the theatres!

Ah, good to hear good things. I was, ahem, not one to follow comics as a kid, so I knew very little about the marvel heroes, even Spiderman was a lapse for me. Hopefully I will enjoy this adaption then. Is the movie clear about things for those who know nothing of its history from the comics?

....yeah, story is very easy to follow, but there are certainly some inside jokes for those who know. like every comic book movie. =)

I don't know anything about Iron Man the comic. I had no plans to see this movie at all until every single person I talked to said it was awesome. So my roommate and I shrugged our shoulders and went on Sunday. I have to admit is was pretty good, though it was weird seeing The Dude. :p

I'm not a big fan of Robert Downey, Jr., but he did an excellent job here. I've also never really thought Gweneth Paltrow to be especially hot, but she was in this movie.

I would say it's definitely worth the cost of the ticket to see this movie, even if you weren't even an Iron Man fan to begin with.

And if you do go see it, make sure to stay until after the credits...

Ah thats the second time I've heard someone say that, something hiding at the end of the movie eh? So far i've heard only good things about it as well. Might have to see it, just to see for myself.

Best cartoon theme song EVER. They should have remixed it for the movie.

Saw it last night. It was great. Robert Downey Jr. was awesome as Iron Man, too.
