This week I have noticed an oddity with the main page and forum page. When I flick to www.rpgamers.net (http://www.rpgamers.net) in my browser it 404s, page not found. I click 'go' a second time and it works. Then I click "online forums" and again, it refuses to give me a page, until I click 'go' again at which point everything is normal again. It never used to do this. I've not tested in firefox so so far I think this only happens in IE 6? Anyone else noticed this? :)

It also happens with me every now and then, and I use Firefox. =p
Thankfully, it's not a nuisance.

Hmm, I've never noticed it with Opera.

Ok, not THE rpgn custom 404 page. It's the "This page cannot be displayed" you know? Refreshing instantly fixes it, it's only ever on my first hit of the day.

It seems to have stopped doing it for the main page and now just happens when I hit the forums. :P Weirdness.

Ah, the title of this thread is misleading. That is not a 404 error, but a browser default error screen that occurs when you fail to get a solid connection to the server. Internet Explorer is prone to mislead people by its built in error screens. You can disable them though, so thats a plus. The server has had some off and on downtime, so you may be running into one of these connection issues. As usual, my response is late, but its better then nothing. ^^;
