I miss my tomato.

Be nice to spiders. There very intelligent and the have powerful eyes that see all. They only bite humans if they are provoked. If its moving about its hungry and thirsty and close to death. Offer it some water or a peice of watery fruit. They will remember your kindness.
What Im craving right now this very minute, is some cheesey nachos with a little bit of green chile on them.
I do most of the cooking at home and Im making spaghetti with meatsauce and fresh baked french bread for dinner. Only my sister is coming over so its only 3 of us. Every thing should be done by 7:30.
I wanted to make freid rice and some fish but no one else wanted.
A Nectorine!! I had my first Nectorine a couple days ago.. and now I'm craving them more and more!

Hey Lucky7 now you got me craving some A&W chili cheese fries. And a nice A&W Rootbeer float to wash them down with. :lick:
Poptarts are awful bits of hard breakfast pasty covered on the top with frosting and filled with various fillings that you have to put in the toaster or microwave to heat up there insides and soften the pastry. They usally come 2 per package and 4 packages per box. There extreamly sweet. There mainly for kids. My brothers would eat them without heating them up. The strawberry ones were alright if there wasnt anything else sweet in the house. There taste is very artificial even though the strawbeery ones claim to have real strawberry. Your better off taking two peices of bread and using strawbeery preserves.
Other stores make there own brand of poptarts and are cheap so parents buy lots of them.

:D Yes, poptarts are pastry, not crackers. I don't find them to be terribly hard, nor overly sweet, and I also eat mine cold. I prefer the brown sugar & cinnamon ones, though strawberry and blueberry will do sometimes, as well. And I was joking about tomato flavored. ;)

I swear all my family got computers for only one purpose,to buy and sell on e-bay.My brother wilson is the e-bay seller for the family. He sells all the familys stuff he can get his hands on. Hes always asking me for stuff. Especaly my videogames and the resident evil stuff I got in the basement. He even wants my old sneakers. But what surprises me is he actually makes money. Last year he sold a pair of my old raggedy smelly converse sneakers for $14 bucks. It boggled my mind.Theres always someone who wants to buy no matter the condition, age,or takyness.
On fridays and saturdays I cant even use the computer because my mom is on the endless search for purses. My brother was making a big deal that he made a lot of money selling some of my sisters old swimsuits. There all e-bay addicts. There points are in the high hundreds.
On birthdays they all give out envelopes of cash with the words e-bay spending money on them. I got one on my b-day for $25 bucks from all of them(bunch of cheapos).I spent it on cigarettes instead.
I am really craving a peice of fried cod with some freid potatoes right now.
Cod is really expensive over here. $4.99 a lb. And the selection is poor.
Potatoes are cheap,$1.49 for a 5 lb. bag

Lactic acid IS what makes your body ache, more specifically if you don't get enough AIR while working.
But It can be made in a laboratory by adding enzymes to glucose.
Well I'll be damned! I remember something from Biology!
PS: Lucozade sounds like what would happen if you put extra sugar, and some club soda in a bottle of Powerade.
Also I find it odd that I know how most of those chemicals affect your body.
silverDistortioN
11-10-2004, 07:43 PM
Lactic acid IS what makes your body ache, more specifically if you don't get enough AIR while working.actually, it's produced during anaerobic respiration, which occurs during any remotely strenuous activity regardless of whether or not you get enough air.
dammit, man... i'm trying so hard to avoid these factoid posts, but i just can't help myself! >.<

Im sorry to tell you this Silver...
but Anearobic Means "Without air."
So you should be able to see what is wrong with your statement.
Anearobic respiration (or fermentation) is something inefficiant your body does when it dosen't have oxygen to perform the Electron Transport Chain.
Fermentation = 2 ATP/Glucose molecule.
ETC = 36 ATP/Glucose molecule.
(Sorry about being a jerk though)
(On topic) I could really go for some Baba Ganoui and toast.
I know it's funny, you would think eggplant dip would taste bad.
PS: in regards to jetblue's comment, beer is grand.
silverDistortioN
11-10-2004, 11:22 PM
i know what anaerobic means. ¬¬
...but there's subtle difference between your body not getting enough air and a chemical process that doesn't use oxygen. and *that's* why it's anaerobic. (which means without oxygen, btw.)
Astrolounge
11-10-2004, 11:55 PM
My point is that the body doesn't ALWAYS do it during work, as it is, as I said fairly inefficent compared to the ETC.
However, thank you for correcting the oxygen part.
silverDistortioN
11-11-2004, 12:07 AM
anaerobic respiration, as contradictory as it may seem, gives us a boost of energy when we need it. it's not particularly useful in sustained work, but in *remotely* strenuous work, it helps us to, for instance, stand up and what not.
anyway... i'm in the mood for some of those raspberry candies they only seem to sell in the candy stores at the mall or the airport or wherever. you know, the ones that look kinda like gumdrops, but they have these round little black or red sugar balls all over them so they look like raspberries or blackberries?

NO.
Its a quote from Family Guy, when the mayor drops Peter throgh a trap door and says;

He then pulls out a piece and starts chewing it for almost a full minute.

:D heh, I bet you would.
Say, Kilu - do finnish people really use the sauna as much as it is said?
I also heard that they sometimes drink alcohol during the sauna...
I'm sure I would faint if I'd do that :D
Well, we probably do. I really don't know what's the urban myth about Finnish and sauna, but I suppose it's true :) I haven't been going to sauna much lately though. Maybe I'm lazy or something?
As for alcohol, yeah. Some do, not much though. You really don't want to pass out in sauna. Alcohol itself creates dehydration and combine that with heat of sauna... not the healthiest thing to do.
Some people throw beer on the hot rocks on the sauna oven (if it's possible that is, some sauna ovens don't have open rocks in it, I think) and the stench is horrible. Unless you really like beer, of course :D

How can you drink root beer???, i was in Florida last year and had a root beer and it tastes like somthing my soccer team uses to rub on our muscles before a game, i will stick to good old pure apple juice yum. Chilli fries, yuk, you should try out noodles with extra chilli powder its great;)

"british food is a bout as yummy as cardboard"
Sorry dont agree there;) , we brits love what we eat cos it tastes like anything but cardboard. mmmm the lovely chips (fries), soaked with vinegar making your mouth water with the smell, the extremely well cooked fish sold by the sea, tastes as fresh as the air (but not the blackpool fish, they probably got 3 eyes with the sewage infested waters). Hot and tasty meat and potato pie one of my personal bests.
So you ate in a pub, not really the place for eating. Our pubs are for getting drunk only and catching up with friends, normally a fight will break out too, great spectacle, but thats a British public house for ya.

When you get cold, your body tries to preserve the more important stuff, like your chest organs and brain. So the heart pumps less blood to the arms and legs, and less heat is regulated there. Your hands get cold too, but your usually moveing them and they aren't as far from the heart.
I think that's why it happens anyway. Please feel free to correct me.

I think you do a fine job with your posts. You do exactly what I do when it comes to puncuation... I don't follow the rules or whatnot for how I write, I simply write it as I hear it in my head. If it sounds best with a pause I throw a comma in there. If it just needs a "I'm thinking of what to type next" feel, I add some dots.... :)
Lord Draud
02-03-2005, 12:22 AM
well i do that to, its just sometime i hit the leters in wrong order ( i don't notice till much later and it pisses me off) but i have been tossing more ,'s and .'s as for caps well lets jsut say it will take some time for me to learn it its jsut so stupid to me to make some letters bigger cause the word means something
silverDistortioN
02-03-2005, 12:39 AM
your only . and , were in the phrase ",'s and .'s"... >.>
anyway, the purpose of capitalizing the first word of a sentence is so you can tell more easily where one sentence ends and the next begins... i first started using a lowercase i instead of a capital one because the capital one came off to me as egotistical for some reason.
one thing lead to the next and here i am... i actually have a set of rules i made up, but i tend not to follow them all the time. >.>

These are the kinds of posts I'm referring to.. you can do better then that Draud. I feel posts like this degrate the quality of the entire thread. Pull it together, or I think I'm going to have to start showing my evil moderator head. I mean, most of the problems with that post are a lack of effort, its almost as if you're rushing, to get the posts done as fast as possible. Give it a little thought, read it over before you click the damn button.
Maybe I'm alone on this feeling, who knows. I just want our forums to be friendly and fun yes, but I also want them to keep their level of quality we've maintained for years. Our threads may go off topic a lot, but I like our forums, I find the friendliness and quality of the discussion is nice, warm and welcoming. It was a disaster silver. I was all happy that I got some meat from the butcher sent through the tenderizer machine and was told is the best kind for chicken fried staek. I battered it and put it in the pan with lots of oil. It looked good and was frying up nicely but then the batter started to separate from the meat and stick to the pan and stated to burn and splatter oil everywhere.
I just cant cook chicken fried steak. I thought the milk was the secret I did'nt try before. Also seeing the blood in the milk kinda freaked me out. Reminded me of the torah about mixing meat with milk.
Mom says I need a deep fryer with a basket. She would'nt touch it. She ate lots of mashed potatoes and corn.
But I will continue trying. Meanwhile back to KFC.

no, no... *never* use a deep fryer for chicken fried steak!
i'm guessing maybe you put too much oil... contrary to what the name would suggest, it's not fried the same way chicken is.
...and maybe use a non-stick pan? >.>
*shrug*
maybe i'll cook some myself and see what happens.

did you make sure the batter was right? it sounds like that ether you used to much oil that will kill the batter or the batter did not stick to he meat like it should

Yojimbo

possibly has mushrooms (hope so) not to sure about the bacon, never the less it makes everyones mouth water (except vegies). we should start putting pics in for what we crave and a little sentence alongside, make things a little more interesting.

That burger does look good. How would you eat your's Lord Draud? Medium, well done or rare?
I would pick rare with a little pink inside. And lots of raw red onion slices. Mushrooms in the cheese would be a tasty bonus.
No pickles! For every pickle I find I wil kill you.
Yes I think I used to much oil. Would It be OK If I freid the steak first then battered it and browned it? Hmmm......
Lord Draud

blue rare, with onions (lots), cheese x3, mushrooms, tomatoes, leteus, catsoup, musterd, mayo, dill pickles, backon (crisp), seaoning salt (A&W style baby), hot peppers, toasted bun and thats all i can think of for now
