:flagca: There were multiple series of Degrassi as they aged, right? Is that what you refer to?
Yah! LoL They are still going and the new Season starts in October, how did you know about Degrassi tho? Is it on regular T.V. there?

They use to show Degrassi Junior High over here in the big city when I was younger on the Public Telivision Network, and my brothers and sisters would watch it with me. I found it very interesting. The episode I remember most was when the cool girl with the colored hair (cant remember name) got pregnant and was going to dropout.
I just got extended cable a few months ago and there is a channel showing the new Degrassi. I only seen a little of it. Its on during primetime so its hard to gain control of the T.V.

I heard rumors to that effect but I never thought they were going to do it....
But I don't know if that can be as good as the original.

One of my favorite old shows was Due South, about a Canadian mounty living in Detroit and partnering with an obscenely American detective named Ray Vecchio. That show was awesome. I need to get it on dvd.
(Yes, it's an American show but it had a mounty in it so it counts. :P )

That wasn't too bad a show, its still shown here quite often bamatone :p Although, most of our mounties are not quite like that I'd bet.... :)
I use to watch this show all the time called "Ghostwriter" about these kids who solved crimes and mysteries by talking to this "ghost". They communicated using their PC, there were some great episodes. Its long gone now though, and the sequel flunked hard.

:D I remember Ghostwriter, though I've only seen a handful of episodes. I think they used to show it on public television here. :spin:

Hey speaking of national television, do any of you guys watch Monday Report? That is absolutely hilarious. And have you voted for the greatest canadian?
http://www.cbc.ca/greatest
I usually watch more english tv than french tv. All we have in Quebec is:
TQS : which is the black sheep
TVA: which is controlled by some conglomerate and which controls cable, newspapers, tv, satellite, phone, etc. And even though they deny it, no subcompany is independent, they all promote the same company. So I usually boycott that tv station. Plus, they are the ones who are into reality TV. They are the most watched network in Quebec though.
CBC: Like you all
RAdio-Canada: Which is the french counterpart of CBC and which I don'T really watch because they have this way of promoting crappy shows
Radio-Quebec: Kind of our CBC fpr Quebec, it is the province governement network. They do some great educational shows and I really like what they do. They air "24" hehe. But, unfortunately, it is the less watched network
Global: WHich you all get and that's the one I usually watch because it has many american content.
I don't have cable cause I'm almost never at home so I don't see why I should pay for something I don't use that much.

I love the Monday Night Report.
Rick Mercer is one of my favorite comedians.
Has anyone ever been to the Just For Laughs festival?
It's a personal tie for me between David Suzuki and Terry Fox.
