It doesn't seem to come from any game at all : it's just some chip-based background music for a rap song. It could also be a rap VGM remix, but I doubt about that...

Well, I would be willing to say that it is a direct sound rip from some game. However, it's impossible to say what game, as it has been obviously mixed, chopped, copied, pasted... The notes goes quite high, and it rings some sort of bell on my end, but I can't point it to anything.

Nope. It's not the original prelude. It sounds like it could be from games like Castlevania or Shadowgate, or anything similar. Though I'm pretty sure it's not either of those, the style would fit. It would help, if you had more than just the beginning of the song at your disposal. There could be more, maybe more recognizable material later.
