although i haven't been able to connect i did take a look-see at the ftp list and i got a few things that might be nice, though they may not be EXACTLY game OST's... one is the Final Fantasy Concert 2002-02-20, second would be Krite, it's a Soundtrck done by Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Xenosaga, ....), also I noticed in the list you only got disc 1 of the Super Mario RPG OST, i got both. oh and four actualy is an OST, the Atelier Iris - Ethernal Mana 2 OST. =)

Though if you use the port command, it works fine (instead of pasv) But that goes against his rules, so I dont know if hardhouse will allow it.

Oh, and I have about half of the Star Ocean Perfect Sound Collection uploaded, and about half of the Suikoden Celtic Collection III downloaded. :P

I'll keep trying off and on until I manage to finish them both.

EDIT: Finished both, I think. I accidentally made another folder inside the Star Ocean Perfect Sound Collection folder. You can delete it, along with the song in the base directory. I couldn't get the LIST command to work, so I thought I could upload a song without actually seeing the folder. I used the command to change folders so that the console said that the current directory was "/From LCC/ Star Ocean - Perfect Sound collection" but I couldn't actually see it using the LIST command. I thought that even if I couldn't see the folder, I could atleast upload to it, but it just uploaded it to the base directory instead, because that was all I could see. Confused yet?

Well, I know that Hardhouse's FTP is kinda unstable so it's normal that you get disconnected from time to time. It's not a matter of virus or anything. Just keep trying to get stuff and you'll eventually download the whole album.

By the way, I advise you to use SmartFTP or FileZilla FTP client. Both are freeware, and they're a bit better than leechFTP.

Hi there Hardhouse, I'm having a slight problem with downloading from your server :( I was finally able to log in as a downloader today, and I couldn't get anything to download..? I have all my settings the way you require them (PASV mode, retry/60sec), but when I tried to download them, they went into my queue and never began... I'm using LeechFTP, and I have read the instructions on the rpgamers main site for that program, but... All that says is that dragging them to my folder will start a transfer... which it doesn't. x.x On top of that, as I'm browsing and queuing stuff, it says "Connection Timed Out -- socket error: connection reset by peer." Could anyone help me out with this? :-\ I'd really like some of the Disney Afternoon and Lemmings songs! (nostalgic, ne?) ^^; Thanks to anyone who helps in advance.

Edit: Disregard all that, I downloaded FlashFXP as I saw you suggested in earlier posts, and it works fine now ^_^ Thank you, I'm downloading the Disney Afternoon songs and probably the Lemmings rips ^^; If I download more I'll edit and tell you which.

When i connect with the FTP (I use FlashFXP) with the "Download" login. I can't download. I have to select the file and "view" in the context menu. When it's complete i check out the temp folder and "copy /paste". The transfer and queue option are unavailable. Always happens?

But yes, I've dabbled in a few Korean RPGs in the past (and I'm currently considering making a start on the Japanese translation of the Rhapsody of Zephyr), but I've never actually really played Ragnarok before. MMORPGs have always felt a little empty to me for some reason, they don't really focus on the things that made me fall in love with the RPG genre in the first place. It is a shame that it's the only one that has ever got any real attention in the West, as most of the ones that I've given a go to have seemed quite promising. Now that I think about it, wasn't the new Magna Carta title for the PS2 is recieving a US release? That was perhaps a Korean / Japanese collaboration, though, my memory isn't very good for these things... ^_^

I liked Arcturus from the moment I saw Nihon Falcom's preview video for it, though. So I 'obtained' the Japanese translation. I'm currently a fair ways in, but it's a bit of a chore to play due to the fairly complex nature of the story and my fairly poor knowledge of Japanese vocabulary (I frequently consult my dictionaries... o.o).

The storyline seems quite excellent, though, and Sizz is...not really your run of the mill RPG main character... ^_^ I like what I've played so far a lot.

And yes, I didn't even consider what you've just said about games, but it appears as obvious to me now. People do not search soundtracks on the web as VGM addicts like me are used to doing... They just hear them when playing the game ! Then no wonder why Korean stuff is not common at all, it's just because Korean games have never left Korea until RO... duh :shame:

This thread has been running for quite a time, and many people have uploaded their stuff to thank hardhouse for what they have been able to download from him. That's the spirit ;)

Btw, hardhouse, do you still have those glitched Angel Sanctuary albums ?
These albums are excellent but most people share a version with hiccups and audio problems. That was amazing to try and get it from someone else just to realize that it was the same crappy rip xD
Anyways, I have eventually managed to find a decent rip of both albums :p Let me know if you're interested... :)

I'm grabbing a few things, notibly the Lemmings and Paper Mario soundtracks. However, before I go crazy and get myself kicked, I wanted to clarify some things.

1. What is hammering?
2. "Don't download 1 gig/day, download 4 or 5 soundtracks and leave"

Does that mean you can only grab 4 or 5 soundtracks period, or just grab a few for that day, leave, and you can do some more the next day?

I also have a soundtrack that's not on the server that I can upload.
