Ok, I'm gonna take a moment to explain this thread and how it works.

1. It's basically 20 questions. Those who havent played before, dont worry, rules are coming.

2. I have an item in my theoretical pocketses. It could be anything regardless of size. You have to guess what it is by asking questions.

3. One question per post, no double posting.

4. I can only answer yes or no. So if you ask something that cant be answered that simply then I will still answer yes or no.

5. Questions must be numbered. So take note of what number the previous question was and follow accordingly.

6. If no one has guessed after 20 questions have been asked, I reveal the item and go again.

7. If someone guesses correctly, they get to have an item in their pocketses.

8. No clues.

9. you can take a guess as to what the item is only after the 3rd question (so the person asking the 4th question can also guess)

10. You must ask a question in order to guess, no lone guesses.

11. Rank posts have to be 15 characters, so the person with pocketses wont gain rank for their posts as their replies can only be 2 or 3 letters long. No cheating by posting a comment in order for the post to be counted as rank.

12. The person with pocketses decision is final. If they demand a word perfect answer then so be it, no bitching.

13. And with that.... What does I gots in my pocketses precious? Hmmm?

Is what you have in your pocket smooth?

(I tried 4 diffrent questions and this one was the least nasty sounding so please forgive if I offend or didnt pose the question right. Sounds fun though, cant wait to see what others put.)

:D Believe it or not, I hadn't thought of things in such a pervy way. However, now that you've brought it up (pardon the pun), I can't think of it any other way. :p

Question nr. 2: Is it sweet, as in taste?

And about too short posts, I don't think one can even post too short ones.

As far as I know, it doesn't work that way. You simply can not post if the post is too short. And everything beyond 10 characters is counted to your post count. So, you can not answer 'yes' or 'no' because bulletin doesn't let you.

Unless Locke has made some sort of special case of this thread. If it is even possible.

It also sounds like he thinks posts under 15 characters don't gain rank, which is far incorrect. All posts in this forum area gain rank, you should consider doing something like this is the testing zone, or in the chatroom, as its going to generate 20 very short posts for the person answering questions.

or you could just answer a group of questions all at once...
(someone ask if it's bigger than a breadbox! XD)

Thats not how a proper game of 20 questions works though. Each answer could lead to a new question. For example, a good team of people can narrow it down greatly by asking good questions about size, location, if its alive or not, etc. You could end up with multiple questions which could have been prevented by knowing a previous answer. We use to play 20 questions every week in data concepts class to develop problem solving strategies, and eventually we could solve it just about every time.

maybe the test area is the best place for this thread.

Agreed. Move it to the non rank area please Locke. I will then answer the questions.
