have I misunderstood the purpose of code tag completely, or is it just not working? it seems to work only for smiley codes. is that it's purpose? I atleast would find it usefull if code tag could also be used for displaying BB tags. But then again, considering that the vbuletins default posting box is kind of easy to use even if you don't know the codes, it makes no difference really.

The point of the CODE box is to have completed unformatted text, for posting things such as HTML code and PHP code. It is not suppose to wrap or anything, as many types of code need to be exact. It does what it says, it allows writing of code :P

bb code is code as well. it seems a bit funny to me that it counts smiley codes as code but not bb code. but anyway. it doesn't bother me. I just thought it was supposed to show all code.

EDIT: removed something after the test. :)

and one question. Is it possible to make the popup smiley window a bit wider? it would be nice if you could make it just wide enough so that there would not be a need for sideway scrolling :)

The list all smilies popup box is not a set size, you can resize it by streching or maximizing the window :p If you are asking me to change the size it appears as by default, I tried but alas, can't find the code to do so inside this string of mess they call forum settings and variables :p

For now, use those mouse clicking muscles and strech that window :D

I set it to 20 posts per page, think that'll be okay? Take into account all the new smilies and avatars loading... I think it should be alright though. These forums are definately gonna use more bandwidth then the old ones :p

Both of these links read the same thing, but it seems to work if you put the tags in first then add the url, otherwise it goes into a link with [/img on the end. O.o

I'm guessing the issue you are having is because of the WYSIWYG editor. I recommend using standard editor for everything :) You can change it under Options.

And no problem :)

And it seems not to work yet.

Indeed Kai, the forums do their best to stop threads from being stretched to hell and back. Large images still ruin the thread layout, but big lines of text will not. :)
